Normal Spell Card

 

Target 1 face-up Xyz Monster you control; Special Summon from your Extra Deck, 1 monster that is 1 Rank higher than that target, by using that target as the Xyz Material. (This Special Summon is treated as an Xyz Summon. Xyz Materials attached to that target also become Xyz Materials on the Summoned monster.) If you targeted a "The Phantom Knights" Xyz Monster or "Dark Rebellion Xyz Dragon" you control: You can attach this card to the Summoned monster as Xyz Material. During your Standby Phase, if you control the Xyz Monster Special Summoned by this effect and this card is in your Graveyard: You can target that Xyz Monster; attach this card to it as Xyz Material.

On a side note for Phantom Knights and Dark Rebellion it does also provide them an additional Xyz material from this card (for others that's until your next turn.)

Definitely going to get nerfed, I doubt they would release a RUM that turns a castel into infinity, regardless this card is both interesting and solid in several ways.

Propably, however adreus access for level 3 phantom knights and revolution falcon access if you play the level 4 phantom knights is not awful at all ... not to mention break sword into number 80 into c80 plays. Well in all honesty the last effect would even be alright if it would attach to any xyz or if it would be something like this "if this card is in your Graveyard, you can banish 1"phantom" spell/trap from your Graveyard and discard 1 card; Add this card to your hand. You can only ... (you know the rest)".

In all seriousness, effect is great, hope it doesn't get nerfed to heavily. Maybe just restrict the very last effect to phantom knights and dark rebellion too?

OT: Cool, so we finally get a searchable generic RUM and it's looking great, and whilst I hope it stays as-is, I actually wouldn't be surprised if it did get a nerf/restriction or something.

Oh no, you can turn a burn out castel into a CDI...CDI is literally LaDD wearing an XYZ fat suit.

 

CDI was never good alone, and now you need to invest a minimum of three cards to get to it. I have no doubt that this card will be between good to amazing if released as it, BUT

 

The bigger problem isn't necessarily 4->5, but IMO 8->9 and 3->4.

 

Do you really want BA to be able to turn Dante into Daigusto?

 

Easiest way to balance it is to slap on a same attribute restriction or a same type as the +2 one, or as people have mentioned make it a rank up for darks from darks

as people stated, its unlikely that this will be printed as is, attribute restriction should be good enough to make it not broken (adding type restriction is overkill), even if its only Dark->Dark its still pretty cool, you can still can turn Break Sword/Dante into Ouroboros or 3-4 mat Rhongo, which is pretty cool

I never said castel into CDI would break anything, I said it is likely going to be the explanation ... what about learning to read lucifer ? In any case, while it is true I despise blank negation, it does not mean I would state it to be that much of a problem, especially that we have RUM-SSF.

That honestly sounds really cool (Oroborus), could give the deck a new angle if a Break Limit happens

It's first effect is quite nice ,since it can summon Heart-Earth, with Utopia, or Destiny Leo, with Tomahawk......

Even if this gets nerfed to only summon Dark Xyz monsters, it would still be scary.

 

You could Rank-Up a Break Sword into a 4-mat Rhongo and keep detaching and re-attaching this RUM every turn. If you have multiple RUMs in your grave you could get even get a 5-mat Rhongo by attaching all of them, assuming that's not OPT.

 

Or you could Rank-Up a Break Sword into Ophion.

So... Konami bans Ptolemaeus then makes this. I thought they were smarter than that, even for them.

 

Anyways, interesting card. Will probably be exploited the same way Ptolemaeus was if it gets printed, but could also open up to other interesting rank-ups.
