How will people look back on us years from now?

What say it's a decade or two later (maybe more). How would people in that time look at people around this time? Will they look back in admiration or embarrassment? What are some things they'd like and/or credit, or some things they'd wish would not be spoken? How do you think they'll view this time period?

The year is 2026. Much has changed over the decade.

Several veterans have left, having found jobs or additional responsibilities that require more attention outside of this website.

Other new members have integrated into the ever-rotating society, drawn in by the allure of the cardmaker and the potential of designing anything under the sun. Some only present their works of questionable balance; others remain to get involved in the tides of Misc fads.

Former low-rank members have proven their mettle and have been promoted to forum staff, handing our stories down to the new generation.

Old members thought to be long-lost may occasionally turn up again for a brief burst of nostalgia, welcomed by Christmas lights that have somehow stayed up since last year's Christmas event again. Reunions and banters ensue if they come into contact with each other or members of the new generation who have remembered them, for better or worse.

Yet in spite of all this, one truth will remain...

Pendulums still aren't available.

I personally think that many veteran members will find a more viable and profitable activity, a job by any means, which reduces their time visiting this never-ending forum.

New members will be more corrupted due to the tendency of degrading moral value, except if there are some of us who stay and lead them to the correct way, like a mentor... I would point.

And of course, new staff and faces will be unveiled, following their seniors path....., I believe pendulum template should be available by then, by the fruit of some enthusiastic ones....

For the sake of trying to maintain my hope in humanity, I will contest this point.

People from this day and age would laud it, and people from the next generation would mock it. This is the case with literally every era of modern humankind.

EDIT: not to mention people from said newer generation praising it, so as to seem more mature, whole actually having relatively low knowledge of it. Can't forget those guys.

By then, people had already switched to TCG Editor (or other card makers) to make their cards.

I bet we get the card type that comes after Pendulum but we don't get Pendulum.

I think the people born in this generation or so (say, us) would look back and say it was pretty nice; meanwhile, the older people will just look back on everything they didn't understand and shame it.

Bernie wins, math is removed for the school curriculums

4 years without math would be perfect for me right now.

Trump wins, then declares war on Mexico. Nuclear war insues. There will be no people.
