ENMaker
This jabroni. This card, my god, I have never been so pissed off by a digital approximation of a piece of card. BriFu is fantastic and opens up a lot of cool plays and decks but Jesus funking Christ if this lad doesn't make me want to cut it altogether because I open with him all the time. It's gotten to a point where I think the YGOpro AI is deliberately and maliciously mocking me. I had a run a while back where I was running 2 Garnet and opened with it in 11 games in a row, so I cut it to 1. Since then I have opened with it in I believe 5 of 7 games and it's so soul-crushing to see this little sheet ruining my hands all the bollocking time. There's no real point to this thread I'm just way angrier than it's reasonable to be at a children's trading card and had to vent. The end. Discuss Brilliant Fusion and this or something then I suppose.

Toffee.
>Drawing Garnet This is literally why I still have mixed feelings about Brilliant Fusion. If you play, say, 2 Garnet and 3 Brilliant, you'd then have 2 dead Brilliants on the off chance you draw a Garnet. You can shuffle Garnets back into the Deck with Emeral/Avarice/etc, sure, but that's beside the point. The fact Brilliant leads things up to sheer luck is what bothers me about it.

evilfusion
Seems like it's a risk/reward situation. The reward is amazing, but the risk of teching Brilliant Fusion is that you'll open this and have a ruined hand. Is the risk worth it? If not, cut the techs. The Nyx Avatar
With the exception of the Vylon build I made, I never really liked Decks with Brilliant Fusion. Even with my build, the bricking is very real. You could also bring this card back with Daigusto Emeral, whether it be to the field or into the Deck. cr47t
Why do people run this instead of a different effect Gem-knight in Brilliant builds that would be more effective? Blake
I mean, decks like MaDol benefit so much from the second NS, the clown body, AND the Lv. 5 body + Gravr Fill that they lose their sheet over it. Then decks like Shiranui just use any dead drawn pieces as fodder for ZomMaster or Uni-Zombie. While appreciating the double summon for a turn, the Clown/Snow White access, and the body/bodies provided.
goodfusion
In decks that use Cards of Consonance and also want to use this, I find that Lazuli+Galaxy Serpent is pretty nice as it means you get extra discard fodder.
Kaiji
Probably one of the most powerful "generic" spells alongside instant fusion and a huge factor in me taking Quants semi-seriously due it being able to pair with Alphan amazingly. Without it, given Etele is at 2 and reasoning is at 1, it's one of the few ways you are able to board Alphan the same turn you search it by NSing Blue (or vice versa resolving Blue Layer after consuming your Normal for Alphan). Otherwise you are limited to Grampulse and pass. Yeah I run 1 Garnet under the assumption that you can never eliminate the issue of drawing it + Brilliant in the first place since it is not designed like Blue Layer so you might as well minimize it and play better cards over a 2nd Garnet
