OK, in case you haven't seen my profile yet. I'm on a trip (I'm typing on my PSP currently) So I will not be continuing the story until I get back. But I will resume posting when I get back. (Although I will be keeping it bumped)

 

Also, Zerosot, it's fine if you who it is. Just don't anybody who doesn't want to know ;)

OK, so, I lied. I'm not going on the trip till tomorrow, XD. I really just needed a break from YCM.

 

Present:

Falco

 

Phoenix: Fox. I know who you're protecting.

Fox: I-I don't know what you're talking about.

Phoenix: This person. He's your partner isn't he?

Fox: F-Falco.

Phoenix: I'll take that as a yes. And he's the person you're protecting!

Fox:...You are as clever as they say Mr. Wright.

*Lock shatters, chains retract.*

 

Fox: It's true. Anyone with training with the blaster could've shot him.

Phoenix: Tell me. Does this Wolf O' Donnel fellow have training with the blaster?

Fox: Yes. But I'm pretty sure he's unrelated to the case.

Phoenix: (I knew it! I think I've just found out our murderer.)

Phoenix: Trust me, Fox. Falco is not the murderer.

Fox: Good.

???: Hey pal! What are you doing here!?

Phoenix: Ah, Detective Gumshoe. What a surprise.

Gumshoe: Listen pal, if you're taking Fox's case, you might as well forget it.

Phoenix: And why is that?

Gumshoe: We have 2 pieces of descisive evidence pal.

Phoenix: I see.

Gumshoe: Not only that, we got a witness.

Phoenix: (Why can't I ever have an easy trial?)

Gumshoe: You bet pal! Fox's blaster is covered with his fingerprints.

Phoenix: Isn't that natural? After all, it is his blaster.

Gumshoe: Yeah, but it was found at the scene pal!

Phoenix: OK, is that all?

Gumshoe: Nope! The defendant's Reflector was also found at the scene!

Phoenix: W-What! (But I didn't see any Psyche-Locks!)

Gumshoe: That's right pal!

Phoenix: So, you have a witness, eh?

Gumshoe: That's right pal! Well, sort of.

Phoenix: Sort of?

Gumshoe: Yeah, turns out she didn't see the actual murderer. But she saw when he rose the blaster and shot Bowser right in the forehead.

Phoenix: So, is there an autopsy report out yet?

Gumshoe: Yeah, this is it pal.

Phoenix: Ah, thank you.

Gumshoe: Hey! Who said you could have it!?

Maya: You were going to give it to him anyway, weren't you detective?

Gumshoe:...Yeah.

Phoenix: So, detective. What exactly happened?

Gumshoe: It's an open and shut case, pal! The murder weapon is covered with the defendant's fingerprints, and his reflector was found at the scene of the crime!

Phoenix: (Why can't I ever have a trial where my client DOESN'T have a mountain load of evidence against him!)

Maya: Cheer up, Nick! No matter how much evidence there is, you always prevail!

Gumshoe: Well, pal. I gotta go, the precinct has to discuss the case. There's still some people who don't think Fox did it.

Phoenix: Really? So there's some detective that might help me?

Gumshoe: Not if they want to get fired. I gotta get back to the precinct, see you in court, pal!

 

Maya: He's gone.

Phoenix: Yeah, we didn't get that much information out of him though. (I've got to go back to the detention center and ask Fox about this Reflector!)

Present:

Fox's Reflector

 

Phoenix: Fox, are you sure you weren't at the crime scene?

Fox: Yes, I'm sure.

Phoenix: (Still no Psyche-Locks!) Fox, your Reflector was found at the scene of the crime.

Fox: ? That's not my reflector. My Reflector is blue. Here, I have it right with me.

Phoenix: Huh? (Wow, the good detective makes another mistake.)

Fox: You can keep that, I can get another one.

 

Fox's Reflector Updated

Phoenix: Well, I think I'm going to get as much as I can.

Maya: It doesn't look good, does it, Nick?

Phoenix: It never does Maya, it never does. (Of course, I know Fox wasn't at the crime scene, so that's a plus.)

 

Defendant's Lobby

 

Fox: So, this, Miles Edgeworth person is prosecuting me?

Phoenix: That's correct, but try not to make him sound like a bad guy. He's very good a heart.

Maya: Yeah, he even saved me from an assasin once!

Fox: I...see.

Phoenix: (Hey! I did most of the work!)

Baliff: Mr. Wright, the trial is about to begin.

Phoenix: That quick? OK then.

 

Court Room

 

Judge: The trial for Fox Mcloud is now in session. Is the defense ready?

Phoenix: The defense is ready, Your Honor.

Edgeworth: The prosecution is also ready, Your Honor.

Judge: Will the prosecution proceed with it's opening statement?

Edgeworth: Indeed, it's fairly simple. The defendant is the only one who could've comitted the crime. The defendant's fingerprints are on the murder weapon, and his Reflector was found at the scene of the crime.

Phoenix: (Even though I've already disproved that, I'm going to keep my little friend for later.)

Judge: It does seem a fairly simple case. Now then, will the prosecution call their first witness.

Edgeworth: The prosecution calls Detective Gumshoe to the stand.

 

Edgeworth: Name and occupation.

Gumshoe: Dick Gumshoe, Detective, sir!

Edgeworth: Now then, please testify the basic details of the case.

Gumshoe: Yes sir!

 

*Witness Testimony*

 

Part 1: Now, it's obvious the defendant is the murderer.

Part 2: After all, his blaster was found at the scene.

Part 3: Not to mention, his reflector was found there too.

Part 4: And it's definately his! So don't even try to disprove it!

 

Phoenix: (Gumshoe, the clueless detective we know and love.)

Judge: Hmm, it's fairly obvious the defendant did it, but I suppose I could allow the defense his cross-examination.

Phoenix: (Gee, thanks Your Honor!)

(Now, in case you don't know the basics. You can press, or present evidence at statements in the cross-examination. Of course, if you present an irrelevent piece of evidence, you'll get penalized.)
