Shradow
"Today we announce the upcoming release of a downloadable demo for samurai-centric, dark fantasy action RPG, Nioh. Developed exclusively for release on the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Alpha Demo for Nioh will be available for download and play via the PlayStation™Network Store only between April 26 and May 5. Aiming to challenge players in a unique way that heightens their sense of accomplishment, this Alpha Demo will offer a rare chance to experience the deep and authentic samurai combat of Nioh and allow access to special rewards! Limited to those who play through the demo, this opportunity will allow players to download exclusive in-game content upon the game’s official launch. All players who manage to clear a stage of the demo will be awarded The Overlord DLC from the PlayStation™Network." The game is basically Dark Souls in Japan, but while there are many similar mechanics (Shrines = Bonfires, Amrita = Souls, etc.) the cool aesthetic and unique mechanics such as changing stances to access varying movesets have made the alpha really awesome so far. If you have a PS4 I recommend you at least give the game a try.
Agro
Are the save points better so I don't feel like I wasted an hour of play like I do in Dark Souls?
Shradow
What do you mean by better? I'd say they're spread out about as much as DS1, but the levels have the sort of interconnected shortcuts like DS3. You can level up at them and allocate skill points into the different skill trees, sell items, get these Kodama Blessings which are different types of buffs to things like drop rates, equip different guardian spirits which have different effects and special abilities. I have yet to know if there's any sort of teleport function, there's a couple blank options I have yet to unlock so it may be one of those. I'm also not sure what you mean about wasting time like in Dark Souls. Do you mean dying too much and losing your souls or something?
