vla1ne
so...Raidraptor - CallNormal Spell CardTarget 1 "Raidraptor" monster you control; Special Summon 1 monster with the same name as that monster on the field from your hand or Deck in Defense Position. You can only activate 1 "Raidraptor - Call" per turn. You cannot Special Summon monsters during the turn you activate this card, except "Raidraptor" monsters. I love this card. it opens up plays for the deck that swallows nest often can't (in addition to going nuts when combined with swallows nest), and it turns vanishing + nest into as many strix/rise falcons as your birdy little heart desires. in addition to that, it makes mimicry a potential revolution falcon. please discuss, for the glory of the revolution
Blake
It's not better than Swallow's Nest. Nest doesn't lock you out of non-Ruris AND it gives you the option to dodge BTS/Veiler/etc., not to mention Ghost Ogre becomes a free +0 when they do it to your ruri. There are better ways to make multiple Force Strix. hard casting revolution falcon is terrible This is a 1-of tech, at most, and only because Tribute -> Mimicry -> Call can be somewhat Lucrative. ENMaker
It's so shite outside of turn 1/2 whereas Swallow's Nest is going to be basically always live, not lock you out of anything, allows you to dodge things like Bottomless, and even just to push for more damage. And the same name requirement only compounds the problem because Mimicry, Fuzzy, and Tribute are hard OPT, you're likely only running 2 Sharp, and if you don't have something to drop with a Vanishing it's a huge waste. Never mind the others that you run at 1 and so aren't targets, and that Pain if you even have 2 won't work unless you're running rank 1s for some reason. Nevermind, that won't work either unless they survive a turn because you can only summon RRs. Blegh.
BlackBeartic
Xander pretty much covered everything in his post, so i have no reason to repeat any of that. I ran it at 1 combined with Swallow's Nest for awhile just to see if it'd help my consistency (i ran monk at the time so it was also discard fodder if i had monk). Tbh i replaced this and nest with cattle calling. If I can i'll try to add a nest back but for now it's not looking likely.

RR ED monsters have a lot of power in their own right though, force strix speaks for itself by now, blaze clears fields and goes through immortal monsters, revolution breaks walls and floaters, and even rise falcon can force outs due to it's ability to grow insanely strong off of opponent's monsters/wall wiping. and all of them have the support cards of the entire deck behind them (including rank up plays). but even then, it's not like you have to use RRcall if the situation doesn't call for it. I'm simply saying that it can open up a lot of plays in RR (with and without swallows nest) that would be harder, or more complex to do just using swallows nest. also, if you use call on a RR monster like mimicry or vanishing, breakthrough. ghost(to an extent), and veiler are somewhat moot points. you still get 2 monsters out, and neither one (among others) has a hard OPT on the field.so unless you've got enough cards to hit both or hit the end result instead of the starting pieces, neither ogre, veiler, or BTS will make a difference in the play in relation to swallows nest. ideally you'd be saving the effect of the first RR till call drops the 2nd since many RR don't even need to resolve automatically. you're right, there are better ways, but call is capable of doing it in an additional way that can also be searched via the decks own abilities. summoning revolution (or blaze) via mimicry is just a fun thing you can do with call, i didn't mean to frame it as if it were something game breaking. i agree that it's a 1-of, but there's more ways to use it than you're giving it credit for atm.
