Soul Swords of Revealing Light (MVP1)

Recommended Posts

MVP1-JP031 Hikari no Gofuureiken/Spirit Swords of Revealing Light
Continuous Trap
(1): When your opponent declares an attack: You can pay 1000 LP; negate that attack.
(2): During your opponent’s turn: You can banish this card in your Graveyard; your opponent’s monsters cannot attack directly this turn.
(Note: the first effect technically says “once per declared attack,” which most likely is a way to prevent you from overpaying your LP and abusing other effects.)

Again, thanks for the clarification.

... I think I'd still prefer to use a Mirror Force card, but at least the second effect keeps you from suffering an OTK.

This doesn't really give justice to the "revealing light" name.

Swords of Revealing Light is revealing because it flips monsters face-up when it enters the field, but this did not follow with that part of the flavor.

The cost is a tad expensive. I'd expect it to be less than what you pay with Krebons, even if it is more of a surprise and has a second Graveyard effect.

If you have Astral Barrier, does it mean its illegal to make attacks into direct attacks with it, or that I can just make it a full waboku with the combo?

The Japanese name of Swords of Revealing Light, Hikari no Gofuuken, translates as "Protective Sealing Swords of Light". This card does fit that bill.
