Rainbow Neos

"Elemental HERO Neos" + "Rainbow Dragon" or "Rainbow Dark Dragon"

Must be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Material Monsters and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn: You can activate 1 of these effects. ● Send 1 monster you control to the Graveyard; shuffle all monsters your opponent controls into the Deck. ● Send 1 Spell/Trap Card you control to the Graveyard; shuffle all Spell and Trap Cards your opponent controls into the Deck. ● Send 1 card from the top of your Deck to the Graveyard; shuffle all cards in your opponent's Graveyard into the Deck.

Guys, this card is WAY TOO GOOD, has such high stats, an amazing effect, and really easy to get out fast. PLEASE ban it, Konami.

........Not to contradict my own joke, but although it's gimmicky and easily stopped, we have to admit, the effect is pretty darn great, and he looks cool.

Not to mention rainbows are a pride symbol.

Every time I see this I think of the prisma ruling and I wonder why they can't just rename RDR to Dark Rainbow Dragon and officially errata this to make it consistent with ocg

When using "Elemental Hero Prisma's" [sic] effect, if you reveal "Rainbow Neos" you can only send "Elemental Hero Neos" to the Graveyard. You cannot send "Rainbow Dragon" or "Rainbow Dark Dragon" to the Graveyard.[7]

I don't understand this ruling

I don't understand this ruling

I think I can make a lil sense of it.

Since prisma can only send specific materials, it can't send either rainbow because you need one specific target, and the rainbows are two separate thongs, obv.

Make sense kinda?

It's because Rainbow Neos can use any Rainbow Dragon as material, while Prisma can only copy specific materials.

For practical purposes, think as if Rainbow Neos was written as:

1 "Elemental HERO Neos" + 1 "Rainbow Dragon" monster.

Rainbow Neos in the OCG has the Materials written as Neos + 1 "Ultimate Gem God" monster. Since the second Material is not specifically mentioned, Prisma cannot send for that Material, the same way it can't send any Dragon for Five-Headed Dragon.

The TCG printed it by specifically mentioning Rainbow Dragon or Rainbow Dark Dragon, but it still must rule consistently with the OCG's printing, because that's how the card was intended to function.

Also, the TCG can't errata it to say a "Rainbow Dragon" monster (even by errata'ing Rainbow Dark into Dark Rainbow) because then it implies you can use Malefic Rainbow Dragon, and you can't, because it's not an "Ultimate Gem God" monster in the OCG.

Woah, Blazeman+Awakening = OTK? 1000+3000+4500

That s*** is lit

With just those 2 cards you'd be missing a few pieces as Blazeman can only use 1 of its effects per turn, so you either get a Neos or a Poly.

Alternatively you can have AHL + Neos + Awakening

Summon stratos search Shadow Mist, discard Mist for Awakening to grab CED + Rainbow

Mist search Blazeman, Blazeman searches Poly

You have Blazeman to tribute for Neos and 1800 Stratos on board to pair with CED + R. Neos, or Rank 4 to get value before commiting to Rainbow Neos + CED

-or-

AHL + Poly + Awakening + X card to discard

Summon Stratos, search blazeman

NS Blazeman, send Mist to search Neos

Still have the Rank 4 in this scenario and "x card" can be ignored since you'd be doing this T2" where you are guaranteed to start with more than 3 cards.
