UltimateIRS
As far as I remember, yes you can since the cost doesn't specify where the monster ends up. You can tribute tokens as long as a card doesn't specify send to the graveyard since tokens cease to exist once they leave the field but you can however you them for the action of tributing/banishing itself unless the tokens state otherwise. Having now seen a specific ruling on banishing, it would seem that you are correct.

White Void
From Konami's OCG database itself: "You can banish Monster Tokens or an "Embodiment of Apophis" as an activation cost for the effect of "Unibird". In that case, you will still Special Summon a Synchro Monster whose Level is equal to or lower than the combined Levels of "Unibird" and the banished monster" FairyHippo by all means works. Darj
I love this card already. Cute art, awesome effect, a potentially promising archetype, it even has an outstanding ATK for a card with such good traits. If anything, I wish it was DARK for lol Dark Renewal, but LIGHT has its benefits too. IQuitDolphin
I just realized that this replaces the now deadweight Trick Clown in most Brilliant Fusion-oriented decks. That's pretty cool. I might use this to replace the Clown in my Madolches.

Plus, after using seraphinite to make Pleiades/a synchro, you can banish brilliant fusion as part of the summoning requirement to gain on card economy. The Nyx Avatar
Should this be part of an archetype, it likely won't be a competitively powerful one. However, should it be, I will use it. Though, how would this work with banishing seven cards? I am curious as to how this'll work.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
NGL, this is a lot worse in a world with 1 upstart and 0 chicken race.
