Pendulums for "weaker/older" archetypes?

Recommended Posts

i'm not saying it for the summoning power, i'm saying it for the versatility. ice barriers actually have a lot of powerful cards, and with medallion they can even search almost any card they need on a whim, but they lack (for lack of a better word in this context) versatile monsters and can't really replenish advantage all that well from what i've played and built of them, and pendulums could bring that to the table. for an example, look at Ariadne, both it's effects grant new power to counter fairy decks, and they don't even need the PS, that's the kind of thing i'm thinking of with ice barriers. ultimately, yes, i'd like them to be able to utilize the PS mechanic, but i'm perfectly fine with just giving them new effects without the ability to use the full mechanic.

I would be interested in seeing 4 good ice barrier main deck monsters.

I would be interested in seeing 4 good ice barrier main deck monsters.

2 of the generals, gantala and grunard, one has double summon effect, the other rebirths an ice barrier each end phase, and that one ice barrier that has the shogun shien effect makes your opponent only able to use one spell/trap per turn, and the monk one that protects from spell/trap destruction. in just about any other deck they'd all be amazing, but it's ice barriers.

a double summon in anything but ice barriers would be above good (satellarknights and monarchs for examples) the end phase summon might be slower than current decks, but you're still guaranteed at least one extra monster during the end phase. medium is fragile, but can help shut down pendulum decks when combined with dai sojo.

on top of those monsters, you've got prior, who summons ice barriers from grave and strategist who let's you draw. not marvelous, considering how fast the game is now, but not bad either.

but again. i'm not saying that ice barriers as a deck are great, or even good right now. i'm just saying that with some decent support (one or two new cards), i can see them becoming tier 5-4. and one or two pendulums might do that for them.

JS, Tier 4-5 don't exist, sheerly on how tiers work.

...you know what i meant...

just saying, they need something to make them better, and since we were discussing what decks pendulum cards might help. this deck came to mind.

What about Agent pendulums?

OH GOD I would DIE to see konami put pendulums in the agents there is so much, and I mean SOOO MUCH they could do to help agent because with master hyperion being an damn well good boss monster but is surprisingly underated, they could make at least one of the pendulums search him out and for the other(s) give a little support to the archetype, like recycling the banished cards to creat more synchro summoning or something like that

Name the pendulums after stars since the monsters are planets.
