Zauls
This is pretty incredible. It's what journalism should be about. The media, through journalists, should be trying to expose the shady and secretive behaviour of those in power, rather than just suck up to them, as is the case in most mainstream media. Investigative journalism is a dying art.

Investigative journalism is a dying art.Keeping in mind they didn't really investigate to find this information, it was given to them and they just organized it, essentially. That said, frequently, to my understanding, media needs to sort of suck up to the powers that be in order to buy time/resources to do investigative journalism and bring them down. Aerion Brightflame
No USA makes me really skepticalx https://twitter.com/mathewi/status/716771686482202625 It's going to happen pretty soon, I think they are just waiting for the proper time. Also the scale of this is so much bigger than I first considered. 400 Journalists across over 80 organisations who managed to keep this secret for a year, and have managed to implicate over 20 heads of state, multiple celebrities, multiple heads of massive companies. It's an incredibly impressive piece of journalism. Now, hopefully the sheer scale of it means that something will actually get done because it's too big to isolate and shut down. However the cynic in me thinks two things; Either a) the public will just forget about it, despite public opinions on a lot of leaders decreasing. Or b) entirely coincidentally there will be some semi-large terrorist attack or equivalent to distract public opinion.
Zauls
So here's an interesting article on how the findings are being presented to us by the media http://anotherangryvoice.blogspot.co.uk/2016/04/the-panama-papers.html
vla1ne
interesting point brought up is that there are apparently very few US targets, none in fact, and for the amount of corruption listed. i get the feeling there's a second side and purpose to this paper. there's a chance that this could get put under the rug, but if it doesn't. then there's gonna be some even bigger interesting revelations coming out in the future. then again, australia and japan are apparently out of the loop too, so maybe there'll be something aimed towards them as well soon. I wonder if this is a likely chain or events or not then from the suggestion of a journalist working on the papers? (Yes, this is me being a bit of an arsehole, but there's a dozen comments, how hard is to actually look at them?)
