Roblox (Then and now)

So if you don't know ROBLOX, it's basically an MMOG that has been around for a long time. I've been on it since 2008 which I think is as old on YCM as it is on there. Also, this is going to talk about what it was like then compared to how it is now. If you're new to the idea of ROBLOX, I suggest you don' read this.

Anyway, it was very different back then. We had two currencies (we still do but they're removing one of them soon), more creativity, and a community more largely friendly. (YCM has that quality, too; it's one of the reasons I like it here.) I don't remember too many details about what it was like, but I do remember how I felt while spending my whole days playing on it. And I felt really super great.

I can't get no satisfaction these days on ROBLOX like I used to. It's changed so much that I feel like it's lost all the luster that made me addicted to it in the first place. Thus, I rarely go on it anymore. There is much more I can get into, but right now, I don't feel like doing that.

Here is the trailer for ROBLOX that was on the home page when I first found it. It captures and expresses what is now called "Old ROBLOX" better than I think I have ever been able to describe it myself.

Discuss.

I used to be pretty into ROBLOX a few years back (I joined in 2010), however I lost interest in it and I now don't play it much. I still play it occasionally to "pwn n00bz" on Heli-Wars: Desert Attack and similar games, and those still work fine. Yes it has changed, for better or worse, but what I enjoyed ROBLOX for 6 years ago still exists and when I feel like playing I am still able to feel comfortable in playing a game I know.
