Flash Flyer - Sakura
Tell me this guy isn't naive about what the hell is going on in the world as of late. Do you want terrorists to get access to weapons that aren't going to raise (obvious) alarms to law enforcement? Yeah, what is this man thinking? Flash Flyer - Sakura
I'm going to assume that it's there to mention how much gun purchases have increased in light of the terror attacks at home and abroad, and why the creator of said gun has a point in doing what he's doing. But either way, not comfortable with this kind of thing existing, even if it only can shoot two bullets.

cr47t
This is just ridiculous. We're gonna need some more security measures. But, for the sake of trying to not be captain obvious, and also for the sake of discussion, what should those security measures be? Discuss.
Just Crouton
Anything that becomes a gun is automatically awesome. Make Swiss Army guns next, please.

(GigaDrillBreaker)
Not saying it is an inherently good idea, but it really isn't as bad as people make it out to be. Those who actually have attained the proper licensing to carry a concealed weapon definitely should be allowed one that is better concealed (under the assumption that concealed weaponry is an ok thing to have at all). But really, the article explains how it doesn't pose much more of a security risk than other compact firearms. Unless the security consists of nothing beyond being patted down, this is hardly less detectable than other concealed weapons. And furthermore, it wouldn't be suited to the mass shootings that are becoming more and more frequent, because it has a magazine size of 2 bullets Yet another case of knee-jerk reactions, really. VCR_CAT
Man, it's almost like the point of terrorism is to strike mass fear and paranoia within a given culture or something...
Shalltear Bloodfallen
Giga has a very good point that as long as its magazine size consists of two bullets it's incredibly unfit in terms of a mass shooting alternative. Where I fail to understand this though is, how exactly is this usefull as a weapon unless you yourself are the offender. You have two shots at best to neutralise whatever's threatening you, and that's counting you being allowed enough time to pull out, and fold it out. And good luck with both if the threat has a gun of their own anywhere near you (hell, I'd wager someone with a knife even has more luck killing/wounding someone with this type of weapon, instead of a actuall gun.) All this is in my eyes, is but further proof of the highly poisonous attitude the majority of U.S citizens have towards guns.

vla1ne
this falls into the range of awesome, but impractical. the most obvious concerns (2 shot clip and difficulty using in sudden situations) have been pointed out, but another large issue is how long does it take to reload? 2 shots from a gun of this calibur are unlikely to take out more than one person, especially if you're not extremely well trained, so where's the mechanism for reloading it? because it's likley that it'll make or break sales depending on the convenience. Lunar Origins
not really meant to take people out. more meant to incapacitate people.
LordCowCowCowCowCowCowCowCow
I mean, ever been hit by a taser, or pepper spray? Both are painful, and potentially deadly and...for personal protection. This isn't all that much different really.Plus the people who would have this are those who are permitted to carry a concealed weapon. Sure there could be people who get them and carry them illegally but...I'm more concerned about those people with a regular gun, than this. And if you're trying to "take out" more than one person, you're already in a situation that you're probably not gonna make it out of if you don't have another means of doing so. epicmemesbro
It feels as though people are overreacting and taking the "invention" from the original context i.e. what led to its creation in the first place. It appears as though its design was so people don't feel anxious if they where to see someone packing heat (lawfully of course). Since people would be allowed to conceal a firearm anyway the designer found it best to make it look like a phone because there are people who feel uncomfortable around firearms.
