sora's cards [manga]

Recommended Posts

Oh, is that how it works?

I thought it was just stating the obvious.

Indeed it is a searchable king of swamp, which also serves as fodder for wing, considering future support or potential buffs this could be a better fakefur ... or allow fluffals to be run without any edge-imp monsters ... if you would want that.

And the second card is a Suture Rebirth that does not negate the revived monsters effects ... for all that is worth.

[spoiler=Look on the bright side...]

These cards may be poor, but we haven't seen which cards Reiji gave Sora and YURI WILL DUEL NEXT CHAPTER.

HYPE.

... Finally

*is happy that no one realizes that is relevant for an entire 1 fluffal*

Already have King of the Swamp who has the dual utility of searching Poly which is essential to the deck so there's no real point to it.

names are important. It's a searchably Edge Imp X off of dog, which will also likely see a buff if/when it gets released.

But you can just search the actual thing you need instead. The only thing this does is become a searchable Chain, but you don't need that for making Tiger, Wolf, or Sabers. As is there's no point when King does the job and more in exchange for not being searchable.

Chain/Saw.

You're really undervaluing a card that could easily get a buff and be a 1-of tech.

Ideally, you'd want a King of the Swamp to be searchable.

Frightfur Leo is arguably the best Fusion they have, if not, one of the best. Problem is, Saw is painfully sub-par/mediocre, and it's holding Leo holding it back.

I mean yes you could tech 1 but the existing 1-ofs like Rabbit/Cat/Sheep are largely better in that they extend your plays as opposed to shaping them. It needs a buff to become worthwhile in some capacity, because all it does is allow you to summon Leo or Sheep where you previously couldn't, but Tiger/Wolf don't care and are more usual for OTKing.

rabbit is bad so idgi

sheep isn't really a 1-of, last i checke,d more 2-of

It's /1/ slot. Do you really not understand how this could be a good card moving forward and based on what buffs/what other cards get printed?

Rabbit at 1 is not bad, recycling a Sabres so you're able to fuse again or recycling a Bear so you can set up Vendor with a Wings in grave or whatever is a solid use. I prefer 1 Sheep but 2 is more common from what I've seen.

Of course it could be good moving forward, just as Mouse could become fantastic if we got a card that summoned a Floof out from the deck but I'm speaking with regard what does exist, not what might exist or could happen, because they're unknowable factors. For right now, with cards that do currently exist, you'd be making space for it only for rare occasions it's useful in.

rabbit is the worst of the 3, not worth the space really

No one argued right now. You are really shoving your head in the sand in an attempt to say a card is 100% bad when it very clearly has potential. We only have "need" for a single named Fluffal, and we only have need for 2 named Edge Imps, so of COURSE it's not good right now. But it's plai nstupid to insist a card is garbage when it has a lot of ability to age well.

Any Fluffal that comes out in future will be searchable by Dog/Vendor anyway, so its only relevance is going to be replacing Edge Imps. I'm not saying it's 100% bad, of course it could end up being very good if we get more Edge Imps that have accompanying fusions who outclass or compliment Tiger/Wolf better than what is currently available, but who themselves aren't worth running. I just feel like that's a lot that needs to happen for it to become good from this starting point.

Basically my point is the power of this card is too reliant on the idea we're going to get better fusions than the pop 5 or 5-attack ones we already have, and that a card already exists which functions perfectly well in the deck and has both this effect and another which is far more beneficial.

Uh... so basically you're still asserting "but not now!!!"

A card doesn't have to be used on release to be a good card. There are plenty of cards that go into hibernation, ESPECIALLY tech cards like this. It is a good card to have in the pool as-is, and any release would likely give it another effect to make it more live. A good card =/= must play immediately.

You can substitute this card for any 1 Fusion Material Monster, but the other Fusion Material Monster(s) must be correct. You can only activate 1 of the following effects of "Fluffal Patch-Bear" per turn. You can discard this card to the Graveyard: Add 1 "Frightfur Fusion" from your Deck to your hand. You can Banish this card from your Graveyard: Special Summon 1 "Edge Imp" or "Fluffal" monster from your hand or Graveyard.

Happy now?

There's no suggestion this'll even get released though. And with Fluffals being an entire deck at this point it's not like we're in the early days of the archetype, we know what they are and how they work and the issues they have are with bricking which this does nothing for.

It does open up options and have potential further down the road but just saying a card that doesn't as of yet exist could become good doesn't mean it's not bad now, which is all I ever said in that regard. I don't see why it's a bad thing to say that a card isn't currently good for an established archetype that already functions as its own deck and doesn't need it.

There is definitely a suggestion? The collector's pack is focusing on Manga/unreleased Anime cards this time around. Hence getting Odd-Eyes/Ppal stuff from the Manga shown. That's an indication, in and of itself.

ITT: A 1-of tech that reduces the number of bad Edge Imps (saw, potential others) is bad because it doesn't stop bricking.

You keep ignoring that you're not running moer than one, and arguing as if it's in a vacuum where it's be-all-end-all.

A bad card is a card that has no hope. This has hope. People said Doom/Death the Mourning Wind was bad. People said Performapal Swincobra was bad. These are archetypal cards that are GOOD, but people refuse to acknowledge such because they don't fit into a predetermined mold. That's exactly what you're doing.

Don't write cards off as bad/trash when they very clearly aren't. How is that hard to grasp?

I'm not writing it off. I'm saying it's bad now but acknowledging it could become good. You define bad differently than I do apparently, but that's beside the point.

At the moment, you don't need to run any Imps bar Chain/Sabres anyway because King subs in for Saw and will likely be able do the same for all others in future. Yes this is searchable and that gives it an edge in one regard, and it may become a solid 1. But if you don't brick you OTK the majority of the time, and you don't need to make anything beyond Tiger and Wolf to do this in most cases, which is the reason I have the reservations I do about bothering with it.

It's not a matter of defining bad. A bad card is something that is genuinely just not worth it. Like Digital Bugs, though the wolfbark isn't as bad as the others. Cards that have the potential to be good are, by definition, not bad. They may be poor on release, but the potential to age well seperates a card from the chaff, if not its current capability.

you cannot cite an unsearchable card as a reason a searchable 1-of is bad. I know how Fluffals are, and I'm not saying this fixes issues. But being a singleton that doesn't hurt you (it's not like you're running it over a King/consistency card), how can you just say "it's bad move on"? That mindset just encourages less innovative thinking down the line.
