Tourmaline
left arm feels a bit awkward, hair looks good. great usage of the parts though. It's supposed to be a Victorian ball joint doll. Making the ball joints visible with four to six pixels of space per joint was one of the difficulties of the piece. I drew the hair myself. Victorian dolls often have curly/drill hair.
Toffee.
Did you use a G1 Gastly sprite as part of the hat? It honestly looks like it.Regardless, your clever usage of sprite bits just continues to be as impressive as ever.

You know the accessory I"m referring to. It fit too perfectly.
MiracleGhost47
This looks nice. It doesn't have enough black in the borders for it to be considered pokemon-styled, so keep in mind that you should try adding black in some areas if you are going for a specific style. Typically, only transparent objects such as ice or fire have no black.

Typically, only transparent objects such as ice or fire have no black. Before finishing this piece, I looked at splices in other styles. Some very high quality art comes from colored borders. I might have noted in the first post that it no longer looks like a Pokemon anymore. I chose to do that knowing it would no longer look like a Pokemon. Thank you for the compliment, too. Madsen
You're forcing stuff in for the sake of it. Zoom out occasionally and check if your sprite still makes sense and the colors clash with each other enough to tell apart pieces of the sprite at no zoom. Zoom out occasionally and check if your sprite still makes sense and the colors clash with each other enough to tell apart pieces of the sprite at no zoom.During my creation of this, I had been using images of dolls and outfits from the appropriate time as reference. The socks may be redundant, but I'm also unsure what in particular you mean might be forced in. Besides that, I remade the last splice, since the arms being symmetrical were a problem. (GigaDrillBreaker)
I feel that is a step in the right direction for the plant, but in execution the redone hand kinda became a jumbled mess. There is so much going on that it is difficult to discern what exactly is there without referencing the palette swap.
Tourmaline
I feel that is a step in the right direction for the plant, but in execution the redone hand kinda became a jumbled mess. There is so much going on that it is difficult to discern what exactly is there without referencing the palette swap. I was thinking that that might be a problem (the top half is tentacle-heavy while the bottom half is a disembowled Golurk, anyway). This was posted to get input so I can redo it again, since it was all scratched which I'm unrefined at. By the way, did you end up having any thoughts on the doll? (GigaDrillBreaker)
The curvature at the front of the dress seems really odd, with the straight line reaching almost all the way to the left.

Night
It's interesting because my only real note is about the shading, I know you tried extra hard to make it as realistic as possible and while I definitely commend you for it, Pokemon shading isn't as logical. If we're talking about this as a pokemon splice that's trying to be authentic, yeah it doesn't work, obviously. But funk that, it's impressive in its own right, good job. Tourmaline
This is probably my favorite splice so far (I just finished it). The concept is to have this be the opposite to Volcarona's being a moth that represents the sun, so a butterfly that represents the moon. Maybe it's also to celebrate Sun and Moon's being confirmed. This was made using Vivillon, Lunatone, Suicune, Beedrill and Kricketune. The reflective wings/bottom "exoskeleton" and moons were done by scratch, as was all the shading. (GigaDrillBreaker)
I assume you used a large circle brush for the initial shape?
Tourmaline
I assume you used a large circle brush for the initial shape?I started with a Lunatone and a Vivillon sprite separated. I originally wanted to use one full moon with slices out as both wings, but I made two moons instead, then scratched the blue crescents and had the real base for the sprite. Night
I don't even know where you pull this sheet from, completely nuts. I'd love for you to make a video showcasing your process as it's bound to give a lot of insight.

Tourmaline
I don't even know where you pull this s*** from, completely nuts. I'd love for you to make a video showcasing your process as it's bound to give a lot of insight.I'll record myself next time. Most of my time spent spriting is actually deliberation and repeatedly pressing "undo," though I probably have some kind of creative or tactical niche. I do spend many hours per piece, though. I put a lot of work/thought into each of them.
Tourmaline
Alright. I just finished another. Note Saturn behind the sprite, as well as how some stars on the body are much paler than some other ones. I made it translucent/very transparent and gave it an alien look to complement the prior moon butterfly. This was made (on top of a ton of scratching) using the following Pokemon:Florges, Musharna, Giratina and Flygon.
Toffee.
Can I just say that the glass-like/transparent/etc design of it looks funking incredible. And using an upside down version of Giratina's headpiece, for the headpiece off this one, is a nice touch.
