Hello, and welcome to YCM forums!

I presume you have several of your old cards saved within the on-site cardmaker, yes? After you generate the image, click on it. This uploads the image to imgur and produces a link below. Copy-paste that link, and its img tags, into your post content and your card should appear in your post.

You may be tempted to upload cards as attachments. Don't. Reason being that attachments get wiped away with time.

Also, most threads in Advanced/Casual Cards are expected to contain cards, either in image or in written format, or they will be locked until negotiated with a mod. Since this is more of an inquiry, I've just moved the thread to where it needs to go.

Finally, points. They're a currency you can earn to spend for little cosmetic things in the Shop. You earn points usually by posting and making threads, (don't spam for a sharp influx of points, though) and points are usually prizes to be earned in contests or used as entry fees.

Have fun, and I'm looking forward to seeing what you post up.

a lot of contest here, you can check it here

each contest differs from another, and they their own rules and such . . .

as for now, no, ycm doesnt support pendulum (yet?)

instead you can try this instead, its called TCGEditor, a program to generate custom cards, also support pendulums

also welcome to YCM, have a good and nice day, hope you enjoy your time being here as well~

With regards to the attachments, I think that we shut off access to members being able to use them altogether a while back, so that part shouldn't be much of an issue. But yes, don't use attachments because they'll disappear after a while.

If the automatic upload feature of the cardmaker doesn't work [sometimes it will fail], then just save your cards to your desktop and upload it elsewhere (either on your own Imgur account or another image host). Same goes if you use TCGEditor to make cards; or if you know how to use GIMP/Photoshop, my colleague Zextra has some templates you can use. The templates can be found here (Pendulums) and here (general S9 stuff); I did the XCF stuff (which may be a bit more updated/customizable; need to update the Pendulum template because some changes were made regarding the ED stuff that isn't Xyz).

We are aware that YCM (Yugioh Card Maker) needs Pendulums, but as YCMaker (the admin) is eternally absent and Falling Pizza (the other one) is nowhere to be found, chances of us getting them by the end of the year (or at all) is very slim.

As for card contests, they vary in content. CC Monthly tournaments are as their name suggests, monthly (or bi-monthly, depending on our schedule; usually mine) tournaments that the CC mods hold with a certain theme. Winners generally receive points, reps and for the grand prize winner, custom member group privileges. There's an explanation stickied in the forum. But yeah, Kana already mentioned that different contests have different rules and stuff (though I did make a note about what needs to be there at minimum; no questions asked).

For the Card Gladiator Arena (CGA), it's basically the general contest version of Leaderboard; which, by the way, technically didn't receive the seal of approval from me, in terms of me actually saying go ahead with it (but Striker brought up to me beforehand anyway). Leaderboard is basically a 1v1 thing that does the same thing.

------

There's a little subforum underneath Advanced / above the contest sections called "Duel Portal". If you are familiar with the site Dueling Network, it works on the same principle except for YOUR designs (and whatever Konami imports you need for your Deck). In a nutshell, the main forum is where you post your actual cards that you plan to add to DP (or have already added) and some other stuff, including card positions in certain formats and whatnot.

The subforum marked Tournaments / Other Formats is for tournaments and whatever formats you want. Much like the TCG/OCG, you can decide what cards should be in your format and host tournaments based on that. You are responsible for maintaining the card pool in whatever formats you choose to host; including dealing with any balance issues and so forth. The stickied pool thread is the one used for official business (though I literally have no clue what's going on in there nowadays).

Most of the stuff in that section nowadays happens in the 2099 subforum. Basically, you have a card pool submission thread to add stuff that people can use, tournaments, some card shops to buy stuff (kind of like the console games / actual card shops) and some other stuff.

If this is too much information, apologies. But it's basically a run-down of CC in a nutshell (I think I need to write a small guide to the section as to where stuff goes; I know a draft version was written somewhere)

----

In any case, if you have any questions regarding stuff in Custom Cards, either PM me or Gadjiltron/Trebuchet MS (as both of us are CC staff). There is also Zextra (as I mentioned), but he isn't here often due to coursework so your best option is to PM either me or Gadjiltron. (This is also who you'll have to PM in case your thread gets locked due to no content).
