True Polymerization

Spell

(This card's name is always treated as "Polymerization".)

Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters from your hand or your side of the field as Fusion Materials. A monster summoned this way has its original effect(s) negated, if any, but gains the effect(s) of its Fusion Materials.

I'm not 100%, but i believe that copying a hard OPT effect means that, even if you used the effect earlier in the turn, the summoned card couldn't use it. Reason being that the effect still belongs to the monster it came from, not to the new monster.

At least, I think that's how Number 69's rulings work.

I simply like the concept. As its name implies, this version of Polymerization takes fusion to a more literal sense.

I'm not sure of the rulings on copied hard OPTs either, but I believe you would still be able to use them even if it was already used by the Fusion Material before. In theory, this is because, unlike Heraldy Crest, this card doesn't copy the monster's names, and thus it remains as a different card.

Yeah, it's how it works. Similar interaction exists with things like Neptune, etc.

Anyway...personally liked how this is a poly rehash akin to fusion substitute but can still fuse from hand or field since technically having the last effect makes it not outclass poly directly.

However, I'm unsure about the specific interaction you're seeking with this. Using this to pseudo-SS stratos-like cards?

Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon + Summoned Lord Exodia + this card = a 3k beatstick that is unaffected by all other card effects and an Odd-Eyes in the Extra Deck for future Pendulum Summoning...  (Rune-Eyes Pendulum Dragon in case you were wondering)

That's just one of many combinations that work with this card.  :)
