Not seeing anything I would want, but this is only a very-smaller sliver of the set.

After seeing the latest Official Magic Fiction relating to to this set, I have a theory that if the werewolf Planeswalker shows up, we may have the first Double-Faced Planeswalker that can flip back and forth between both sides repeatedly.

LOOK AT OLIVIA VOLDAREN ALL DECKED OUT IN FANCY ARMOUR

yes i do want a new olivia card

Also, this is some freaking Eldrazi crap over here. https://twitter.com/VorthosMike/status/705965745230864384

I'm not convinced it's Emrakul as the conspiracy theorists say, but I'm not convinced it's not Emrakul.

Yeah, Arlinn being a double-sided planeswalker with flipping on both sides seems almost guaranteed.

Also, this. 1. Seems incredibly good, 2. Art is freaky as hell. Thanks, Nahiri.

Yea, card is sweet and very freaky. Really looking forward to see her.

It does say CH1. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a second checklist card that's either for rares/mythics (on the assumption that these are all uncommons and commons) or for legendary creatures and planeswalkers, and have it look like the Magic Origins checklist card.

The second check list doesn't make a TON of sense if only because the check list already has 24 cards which makes up the difference between SOI and BFZ. It could happen, but having another, super rare check list card for people to try and find doesn't seem like the BEST idea imo.

After seeing the kids in Incorrigible Youths close up, I now can't unsee that; I wouldn't be surprised if it was the start of Emrakul corruption, but there are many other possibilities.

As for Declaration in Stone, it's a great card in terms of being nice cheap removal, and being a flavour home-run.  I quite like it.

Double-faced cards have always been listed ###a/### and ###b/###, so that doesn't exactly explain why SOI is overbearingly large. The miscellaneous extras in booster packs have always been weighted by rarity. A checklist of rare cards would be naturally rarer, in the same way that getting a planeswalker emblem is rarer than getting a token.

I really don't want it to be Emrakul (can't we take a break from the Eldrazi for just a while, based Wizards?), but damn, took me a while to realize what was wrong in that picture. Kids have a few too many eyes, and then some.

EDIT: On second thought, I wouldn't entirely mind Emrakul if it's just her in a Cthulu-esque role. No drones coming to wreak havoc - we've already had enough of that. Just her, subtly twisting the plane into even more Lovecraftian patterns. (Either that, or massive amounts of inbreeding on behalf of the Innistrad vampire population.)

I doubt it is emrakul. Wotc has made it very clear how the brood lineages can be identified, and this has no spongy lattice, nor does this look like the way the vampires were controlled.

This is funked, but it isn't emrakul. And honestly, if it is, they are jumping a shark. Liliana's magic has become progressively darker and darker, perhaps this is just another level? A curse?

Also, Tamiyo's journal has very interesting flavor text. Fiery Temper shows Gisela to side with humanity (or at least, oppose the undead) but the possibility of Avacyn as an antagonist is possible.

It also doesn't have the werewolf chick which was assumed to be a flip walker.

Not sure what you mean by their listing. I bought up DFC since original Innistrad's extra size was because of the DFC (244 vs. 264 w/ 20 DFC) and Shadow's extra size vs. Battle can be 100% explained with them as well (274 vs. 297 w/ 24 DFC). CH1 could certainly mean that we have a CH2, but it feels like it would be super cumbersome to have 2 checklist cards in the set. That could just be me though.

I wonder what happened to our favorite Moonfolk planeswalker.

COOL

Big fan of this design.

Feels like Wizards has been really pushing equipment based stuff for white recently. Pretty cool.

Good point. I have always found it bizarre though that Innistrad was bigger because they added DFCs on top of the normal set size.

I also realised that Garruk wasn't even on Innistrad's checklist card. In all likelihood, Arlinn just isn't on the checklist.

Something about it being a different sheet likely causes it to just be pure extra. Pretty sure the time shifted sheet in Time Spiral block caused the same thing.

No, he is

Third from the bottom on the left.

Arlinn not being on the check list card can mean one of 3 things

1) She is a single sided card that has an effect involving the werewolf

2) CH1 means we DO have a CH2 and it is just for her

3) She is in the next set

Despite my naysaying I DO think 2 is the most likely. Putting her in the next set seems weird since they showed her off before previews even started and that REALLY misses player expectations. Same is true for her being single sided since players REALLY wanted a werewolf planeswalker and not having her be double sided once again totally misses the mark for what the players expect. My MAIN guess for her getting her own check list card is because having a high profile card scrunched up on the list of 24 does a really poor job of highlighting her, which I imagine is something they'd want to do.
