Here at the Academy, we specialize in cardmaking and contests, the heart and pride of YCM. The Academy is separated into four different houses, each led by a talented cardmaker and contest manager. [spoiler=[color=red]Falzatian[/color]]The Falzatian House is a house that takes high pride in cardmaking. Known for being the most wanted house in the Academy, acceptance into the Falzatian House is almost slim to none. The spirit of the Falzatian House is Falzata, Emperor of the Flame. The element is FIRE and the House Card is Hino-Kagu-Tsuchi. [spoiler=[color=blue]Aquian[/color]]The Aquian House is the most versitile of the houses, known for their well-balanced contests and very creative cards. Notorious for being the beauticians of the Academy, Aquians hold high regards in fashion. The spirit of the Aquian House is Aquia, Empress of the Water. The element is WATER and the House Card is Gogiga Gagagigo [spoiler=[color=green]Ventian[/color]]The Ventian House is notorious for their speedy cardmakers and quick contests. Each member of the Ventian House is able to make a well-balanced and grammatically correct card in under 5 minutes. The spirit of the Aquian House is Ventios, Empress of the Wind. The element is WIND and the House Card is Yata-Garasu [spoiler=[color=brown]Terranian[/color]]The Terranian House is the most hardcore house of the Academy. Known for their powerful cards and their rigorous contests, only the best of the best make it into the Terranian House. The spirit of the Terranian House is Terros, Emperor of the Earth. The element is EARTH and the House Card is Enraged Muka Muka {SORTING INTO HOUSES}Being sorted into a house is done by me, your Headmaster. In order to become a part of the academy, you must PM me if you would like to become a Council Member or a House Member (see sign-in sheets below). I will reply to you back with a list of 4 tasks, depending upon what you wish to sign up as. You will select one of these tasks and complete it. Depending on which task you complete and how well you do it, I will put you into your respective house. As of now, I AM NOT accepting any students. I will accept students when I get my Council of the Academy constructed. {COUNCIL OF THE ACADEMY}The Council of the Academy are the leaders of the school, literally the BEST of the BEST. These are the positions you can apply for: Co-Headmaster- This person will be in charge in my abscence. All Coucil Members will report to this person with issues regarding the Academy, who will then in turn report them to me. This person will also keep a record of all Point transactions at the Academy alongside the Keeper of the Cards. This spot is limited to one person. Orchestrator of Contests- These people are in charge of creating the Academy Games. The Academy Games are a group of contests where the house will work together to compete against other houses. More information on this when the 1st Academy Games occur. This spot is limited to 3 people. Keeper of the Cards- Probably one of the most interesting jobs on the council. The Keeper of the Cards keeps a record of all the cards created during Academy Contests (these are different than the Academy Games). This person will also keep a record of all Point transactions at the Academy alongside the Co-Headmaster. Please note that this job will take up a lot of time, so I need someone who has the ability to be on everyday or at least 5 days of the week. This spot is limited to 2 people. House Leader- This spot has the most involvement with the Academy on the Council. The House Leader keeps a record of all the members of their house. The House Leader is also in charge of creating contests for their house only. Also, the House Leader must create a logo for their house. This spot is limited to 1 person for each house. {SIGNING UP AS A STUDENT OR COUNCIL MEMBER}Signing up as a student is actually easier than signing up as a council member. I am ONLY accepting Council Member sign-ups until further notice. {RULES OF THE ACADEMY}Having a seat in the academy is a privilege that can be taken away. If you violate any of these regulations, you will receive a Neutral Reputation warning first, then suspension from the school for a set amount of time. If you violate these regulations 3 times, you will be expelled indefinitely.Participate in ALL House ContestsListen to your House Leaders and the Council of the AcademyBe active on this forum, at least on 3 times a week Having a seat on the Council of the Academy is an even greater privilege that a lot of people wish to have. Once this position is taken, it is never given back. You may sign-up as a student, but not as a Council Member.Report all odd activity within your house (if you are a House Leader)Do as I sayStay within your task. Do not do another person's duty unless given permission to. If a House Leader is absent, a Council member will replace them until they return. If they do not return, I will search for another House Leader.It is as simple as that. Here are the basic guidelines for the Academy:No flamingBe supportive of other studentsBe active with the AcademyNo spammingFollow all basic forum and Club and Organizations rules {THE ACADEMY GAMES}The Academy Games will be held once a month and will be run by myself and the Orchestrators of Contests. We will handpick 1 person from each house and that person will represent the whole house in the Academy Games. The Academy Games are a series of contests, running the course of anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month. Myself and the Orchestrators of Contests will create the contests to test your creativity, cardmaking skills, OCG, and overall skill. This is how the grading system works:50%- OCG20%- Pic Quality10%- Effect (over/underpowered, playability)15%- Does the name, pic, and effect match?5%- Overall wellness How well you do during the contests will earn your house House Points. These House Points help determine the Leading House at the end of each month, which will receive something nice from the Council. Each contestant will also earn Contestant Points, or CP, which can be spent for things in the upcoming Y.G.O.A.F.T.C.M. Shop. The person with the most CP at the end of the Academy Games wins. {POINTS}Here at the Academy we use what is called a Point System. You receive 100 Member Points, or MP for being part of the Academy. MP cannot be given to another person and will not be given to anyone with the expulsion of a Member of the House. If you participate in the Academy Games, you will also be given Contestant Points (CP) in addition to your MP. CP can only be used during Academy Games and only at the Academy Games Section of the upcoming Y.G.O.A.F.T.C.M. Shop. Each Contestant will start with 0 CP at the start of the Academy Games. This can increase depending on how well you do during the Academy Games. Points CAN be taken away (MP and CP) or given depending on what you do or how well you do something. Only I can give Points to members and Council Members, but the Keeper of the Cards keeps a record of all the Points. {OTHER THINGS}In order to recognize that you are a student or member of this Academy, please put the Academy logo somewhere in your signature.
