Hopefully, Bond Between Teacher and Student becomes a real card. - Magician's Robe is just bad. Like really bad. It's likely not worth a slot at all. It's basically there as a starter play, but there is better starting options - Gagaga Magician is seriously starting to look like a 3-of just to toolbox into your R6/7s much easier, other Gagaga's might be viable as well. If only Mancer didn't get nerfed to complete unplayable status. - Dark Burning Magic is EXTREMELY potent. a 1-sided field nuke that rewards you for pulling off a Dark Renewal. FriendOfAlice
This looks really interesting to me, though that may be partly due to my bias towards Dark Magician Girl.
TF2_The_Scout
Why no Dark Magic Curtain to summon DM straight from your deck?

VCR_CAT
You should really be running 3 Dark Magic Circles, and 2-3 Illusion Magics. If you were running the Pendulum variation, I would suggest like 2 Summoner's Arts on top of that; but that's a different deck altogether.
Slinky
On top of what Winter said, all Dark Magicians tend to be either on the field, in your hand, or in your graveyard by turn 2. So Curtain is legit a turn 1 play only, and its not worth it. From my experience, Illusion Magic really is not that great. If it could grab Black Magician of Illusion, then sure, I'd run more. But if I really need the Dark Magicians, then I'll just Rod that Magic. As for Dark Magic Circle, running 3 is not that great, as it clogs really bad. IQuitDolphin
Run 3 Dark Magic Curtain, 3 Hope For Escape. Live life on the edge. Storming Mirror Force feels meh atm since battle traps all get rebounded into deck or popped.
Slinky
Storming mirror force was just something I added, because of reverse space problems. I didn't know what to add, so I just slapped in generic x good trap as a placeholder.

Especially in a Magician Pendulum variant; Rod into Illusion Magic is a +1 play that's fantastic for deck thinning and setting up plays. When you figure out how best it's used; it gets pretty crazy. Dark Magic Circle is a potential +1 with the added bonus of strong removal. If MST isn't too cloggy for a lot of decks to want to run 3 of; then this definitely would be fine.
