This is why I bought the 32 GB sd card for my 3DS. Games don't get big enough for it to ever fill up.

I only have the 2 GB card that came with the 3DS, but I don't download too many games so I don't think it'll be much of an issue. Need to check how much space I have left before I download the demo, otherwise I might have to buy a bigger card.

There is a new trailer. Little new information is show. The names for the ghost and fighting type Z-moves are revealed: "Never-Ending Nightmare" and "All-Out Pummeling".

 

It is also implied there is at least one other trail captian. A character named Ilima says " And my trail…" (s)he is not shown however.

I saw this on facebook earlier (I never knew about this as I never rematched the E4 in Black/White);

In Black/White, when you rematch the E4 member Shauntal, one of the things she says is; "The Trainer's thoughts joined with the Pokémon's mind, and a lustrous Aqua Ring unfurled..." The reason I'm bringing this up is because it was possibly hinting at Ash-Greninja.

Out of those, Munchlax is going to be the most useful in my opinion since it's built to gain cash & catch other pokemon.

Speaking of Ash-Gren, has anyone drawn attention to the fact that this means Greninja can have 3 different abilities now? Curious if Greninja is special or if we might see some other Pokemon get a new ability.

 

 

Anyway, CoroCoro goes live in 4 days so it should leak in a day or two. Curious what we'll learn about Null.

I'm not too surprised Greninja has a third ability now; they would've probably needed to if they want to incorporate the concept without making it sacrifice an item slot (though that goes against the grain of how it transformed anyway, if it did require an item). Could be to promote its status as the #1 Pokemon in Japan (wonder why they don't ask Western viewers what ours is; we probably have a different opinion), but we'll see.

 

As for the Shauntal quote, I don't remember seeing it; either B2W2 doesn't play that, or I never saw her say it whenever I rematched.

Nintendo loves throwing in "The trainer bonds with their Pokemons!!" for emotional connection purposes and Greninja can't learn Aqua Ring

Although, since trainer-pokemon fusion and stuff was pioneered in Gen 5, it could have something to do with that

I just remembered something, and realized somethimg. Remember how in Gen 2's post game there was a Rocket Grunt with a unique way of speaking that didn't get the memo Team Rocket was gone? He shows up in Gen 5. You know it has to be him, since he says he was in Team Rocket years ago, and speaks the same way.

 

As for the main thing, wasn't there a guy in Gen 6 who wanted to make a Pokemon dancing team? Perhaps that is the orgin/inspiration of some of the dancing-related stuff in Sun and Moon....?

 

 

 

Also, I'm sure this has been mentioned, but I doubt we'll get a Game Corner in Gen 7, given we haven't had one since Platinum, and even ORAS removed it all together.

Okay, just ignore my dumb question for a smart one:

 

If you beat the trial captains, would they give you some proof acknowledging you beat them? Like the badges from the first 6 generations?

 

Gotta have proof to show them to the Kahuna.

 

Now that I think about it, the Trial Captains can be like Gym Leaders and Kahuna's are like the Elite 4.

I would assume that they would give something to prove that you have passed the test, yes. What those are (if any), we don't know.

 

But yeah, so far, it doesn't appear to have a standard league and is instead more/less island challenges (not 100% confirmed, but it's getting more likely).

Badges are one of the more iconic elements from Pokemon. I'd be really disappointed if we didn't get something like them in Sun/Moon.

I am not saying that foreshadowing Ash-Greninja didn't happen, since that seems totally reasonable, but the munna thing is absolutely, positively, 100% definitely a coincidence. With hundreds of pokemon it was inevitable that one of them would be pink with a flower pattern.

To be fair, I'd also consider the Shauntal line to be a coincidence as well.

Yeah, I'm not convinced they were planning so far ahead when they wrote that Shauntal line. As for Munna, I believe it's more likely they simply remembered this line from the original games and decided to make that mon real.

These are pure gold early Bronze Age necklaces, mainly found in Ireland. Into the Iron age they more more frequently silver and had more uses. I haven't the slightest idea how this relates to alchemy like Solgaleo does, but the idea that Lunala might also be about gold like the Lion-that-eats-the-Sun Solgaleo, rather than silver as I originally assumed, is super interesting.
