Pokemon Sun & Moon

Actually.... I honestly had thought all this time it was really Miyamoto, but you bring up a good point. He's likely too busy for that......

I doubt him being busy is what makes it obvious that this is a parody account. He can hardly speak English, let alone understand English memes or watch English TV shows. Or indeed, make memes about his upcoming product.

Still, hilarious though.

Does Miyamoto even work much on the Pokemon side of Nintendo much anymore? I know he dealt a lot in the early stuff.

He oversees things from time to time. Basically anything Nintendo has a hand in, Miyamoto will give input in.

He had a hand in Pokémon Bank too iirc.

How did you calc these? Did they release stats?

I basically took the stats off whatever came on in the Japanese trailer (basically a quick pause when the screen comes up, and you should see the Pokemon's level and current HP). Like I noted earlier on, the stats are calculated on the assumption that there are no EVs and either max IV or zero (lower number is if it's maximized; upper number is zero IV). If there are EVs in there, the data may be screwed up.

Haven't watched the English trailer yet, and I know Rai mentioned the estimate for Pyukumuku/Namakobushi's HP to be too high, given the data from that.

(I did say to take the calculations with a grain of salt though. Would've liked to calculate other stats besides HP, but unless they show us the stat pages too in-battle, that won't happen)

Huh. I didn't see any screens with stats.

It may be safe to assume that Pyukumuku is NFE, and also note that it took out a Hariyama, which has a pretty big HP stat. I'm wondering if it's based on percentage rather than points, which would make it amazing

Plus Koffing is a decent Utility Defensive Poison Pokemon. At least to me. I kind of would rather use Garbodor. Though speaking of Koffing, there is something we have yet to mention....

Shiny Pokemon. They increased the odds slight with the last couple Gens, and of course we have the Shiny Charm. Maybe something else will be added?

funk me how could I possibly forget

If you called it, that would be pretty cool. I'd love to see a throwback to Mystery Dungeon, at least Time/Sky/Darkness.

Japanese trailers have HP screens (when they're out in battle). Other stats aren't shown and those you'll have to calculate based on what you know about the other 'mons. For the English one, there was a clip at 1:06 where Minior's supposed base stat is: 120 HP/level 50 (so 45-60).

But yeah, could have an evolved form and Innards Out is probably percentage-based as opposed to doing a set amount of damage. Whatever amount of HP you have left when you get KO'd, the opponent loses that much of their own. Will need to look at it some more.

As for the Team Skull music, yeah, it's ghetto. Probably the encounter music during scenes with them.

Morelull is okay-ish, but abilities aren't that good (well, only Effect Spore is good; Illuminate is crap)

I did its initial calculation based on the Japanese trailer (and assuming it had no EVs in there to make it look stronger); at max IV, it'd have a base stat in the 80s; though still looking at the English trailer again to check if they did buff it otherwise. I ran the stat formula on it; that's what came out.

But yeah, I think I saw someone on Discord mention that it is HP-based.

Dafuq is the Team Flare logo?

Good point. Also, I brought this up in the Status Bar.

There is something that confuses me about Team Skull's Leader and Plumeria..... From what we've seen, it SEEMS like they MIGHT specialize with Poison-Types.....Is Aridos Guzma's ace? Nomrally a Villian Team Leader's Ace is a Pokemon from that Gen. Unless Aridos is getting an Alola Form or a Mega, it wouldn't fit.

The only Gen 7 Poison-Type we've seen so far is Salamandit, which didn't show up at all in the trailer. Plumeria had a Golbat ( likely the stand common Pokemon the Admins have along with their ace ), and the grunts had Haunter and I think Drowzee.

What if they retroactively made this the case? Like, if Alola Exeggutor is its original form, this turned out to be Vileplume's Alola form all along and it somehow got out?

This is what I find interesting about that image, is the fact it's likely going to happen.

...

Or at least, you'd be able to find wild Bellossoms

I don't think Ariados is his ace (Remember, Spinarak was an early game 'mon in GS/HGSS). In fact I'd wager that his ace is a pokemon that hasn't been revealed yet.

You find it amusing how all of the Pokemon in question have some method of being scary/intimidating/etc?

I'd mention that Team Skull is trying to be 2spooky, but I know the skull motif has other meanings to it.
