Flame Dragon
The move relearner supposedly can learn your Pokémon moves in advance this generation. As such you would only need a "Heart Scale" for those niches. As for Global Trade Station, I barely use it. Others often request Pokémon I don't have, or rather wish to keep. Reasonable requests tend to have already been traded. For which I'm very thankful. Sadly I'm doing my living dex work in Y so I don't have access to it. I normally just throw in a HA Pokemon and wait. I dont see the point in choice items! I think they are overrated. So why are they? They are VERY good. Scarf is the most widely used I think and thats because letting the slower but really hard hitting Pokemon suddenly win speed battles makes sweeping all the easier. Band is likely the next most used since it combos super well with U-Turn. The joke with the Choice items is you need to be good at predicting your opponent's moves and just going U-Turn, U-Turn, U-Turn makes this less of an issue. The same is true of Volt Switch and Specs but that isn't as widely available not to mention special attacks aren't as common in the higher tiers I don't think. Βyakuya
...trying to catch nebby by now. Looking for a timid natured one.I dont see the point in choice items! I think they are overrated. So why are they?At the cost of greatly boosting one stat, you are locked into using only one move until you switch out. Seems kinda bad at first, but using Choice items correctly can land some advantages and surprises. Scarf is the most popular, which can greatly boost Speed which can allow you overcome a lot of high Speed Pokemon. For example , Scarf on Garchomp can outspeed Tapu Koko whereas not having one would make Garchomp not fast, and your opponent may not expect something like that. Band and Specs are meant for giving more power to Pokemon whom are naturally fast or bulky and don't mind the lock. You can even use Choice items on Pokemon that know Trick like Rotom Wash and force them to a move lock. And like what Flame said, switch in moves like Volt Switch and U Turn make use of Choice items as well. Choice items definitely have that drawback, so you expect to use them decisively and only put them on Pokemon if it improves them at all. You can only buy these I'm the Tree as far as I'm concerned. Flash Flyer - Sakura
I really should've planned out what 'mons I would be moving over, but think I have a general idea of sorts at this point. Let's make sure everyone's EV trained and all, because Sun/Moon sort of failed with postgame training. (Time to import power 'mons and knock people out in battle facilities and stuff)
evilfusion
Yay! Honestly, there's not TOO much I actually want to transfer over. I am considering bringing in my 6 IV Japanese Ditto, purely to save me the hassle on shiny breeding, but I might not want to get too far ahead of myself right now, since I'll never be able to send it back to the Gen VI games. Flash Flyer - Sakura
I know I have two 6 IV Ditto in AS, though one is probably hacked/cloned (the Shiny Timid one), but yeah, make sure I think about what I want to send over b/c there's no going back. Hopefully Bank works normally for in-game transfers between Sun and Moon.

I bought the 6 Power Items (16 BP each), and as many M-Stones as I could...which according to my calculator, was 14 (at the large price of 64 BP each). I still need 2 or 3 of them, I think. Βyakuya
I had about 290+ BP after the transfer and I was able to buy am extra set of Power Items, some battle items and Mega Stones. Could have planned to invest more in the stones, but I figured I won't use them too much. Also holy hell the IVs on my Pokemon are all mostly terrible. Good thing Hyper Training exists and that some are Level 100.

Flash Flyer - Sakura
All Bank users get a Mewnium Z just so you know.Until October 2nd. Only one per Bank account, or we can get it for multiple games? But yeah, let's see if the BP I saved from Gen 6 (in Bank) carries over, or it's only for XY / ORAS. Judging from evil's post, assuming it does, which is great. ===As for Hyper Training, I'll need a LOT of Bottle Caps because some of them are imperfect, even after I soft reset multiple times for high enough IVs (least for legendaries and all). Don't have a lot of them right now.=== Least I can quietly transfer stuff over between games en masse (sans items, but meh) without having to deal with GTS stealing stuff. The Warden
Welp, I've prepared everything I need to reset my Sun. I've moved all the Alolan mons into my bank with the rest of the living Dex, and I've bred up a Popplio and a Rowlet with excellent IVs (near perfect 6) and the right natures. Now I just need a friend of mine to hold onto my Destiny Knot and I'm ready to go for round 2. And I already have my remade team in mind. Incineroar (starting starter), Decidueye (will breed in-game to remove the exp boost), Primarina (same as before), Alolan Raichu, Salamance, and Mudsdale. The benefit of this is having an intrinsically better team, and also to fill the remaining 3 hols in my living Dex. Cosmog, Type: Null, and Solgaleo (I traded him for Lunala). ~British Soul~
Only one per Bank account, or we can get it for multiple games?I'd assume 1 per bank account. I will say this though, at least those people who missed out on the HA Kanto legendary birds event a while back (like I did) can get them now.Not surprised that all Gen 1 'mons get their HA though, given Machamp w Fissure for example. ~British Soul~
Can't believe I overlooked this.Another HA mon that is more accessible with the update (for what it's worth) is Mewtwo. So for those who didn't participate in a Play! pokemon VGC event from the 2015/16 season are able to get one, despite the fact that it isn't shiny. Zextra
With Pokebank out, I can finally breed my Dream Ball Feebas! If anyone wants one later, I'd be happy to trade some. Now to come up with another Milotic build to use with it...

evilfusion
All pokemon transferred from the Gen 1 games will have their HAs. That's actually clever on multiple fronts. It prevents the Machamp + Fissure thing gaining No Guard. And it rewards players who actually bought and played the VC releases (I did not, because I really can't imagine myself enjoying ludicrously outdated mechanics and graphics, even for nostalgia value) Plus, apparently all Gen I transfers will have a minimum of 3 perfect IVs. Βyakuya
Pardon my out-of-nowhere rage, but after what happened to me after a few Battle Spot battles, I am just so salty and livid that I can't help but splurge my rage here. Seriously, these RNGeesus move missing are getting out of hand, especially since after what happened to me, and it has always happened to me always ening up turning around games at the end. But today was where I drew the line. It was my Tapu Fini vs his Mega Kangaskhan, our last two pokes. Earlier his own Fini lands a Muddy Water on me and lowers accuracy by one stage. I had full health and 2 Calm Mind boosts vs his 0 boost Kangaskhan, but the game shat on me when my Moonblasts missed 3 times in a row. He then proceeded to Power-Up Punch me freely twice and using Return after. I have never wanted to throw my game so bad. I might seem crazy but it isn't the first time. I've had Blizzard miss both opposing Pokemon in doubles IN HAIL, and Muddy Waters, Rock Slides, and other moves have missed when I need them the most. And most of the time it creates a shitty-ass reversal despite me being in favor. funk me for knowing the 5-10% accuracy drawback on these moves despite the competitive applications, but these accuracy drops are more cancerous and dangerous to work around than status drops or status effects. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Don't worry, we can all relate to the RNG being shitty at times, despite the supposed low chance of said RNG doing that repeatedly (i.e. that small 1/256 chance that a 100% accuracy move fails). Hell, some jackass today during Royale got his Quick Claw activated three times in a row [1/10]^3. That's like, what, lower than the shiny encounter rate after chaining like mad in SOS or having the Charm. Or yeah, a bunch of other things related to the AI (someone explain how the hell some random kid can Mega Evolve, use Z-moves or conveniently have access to Alolan HAs that even we don't have on our own [*cough Intimidate Incineroar, Long Reach Decidueye*]). Yeah, I'm referring to the AI opponent as kids [blame Night for this], but in actuality, a lot of them are legitimately kids or those who look younger than me. ===Also note to self, actually be more offensive when using Celesteela to leech off people. Last two losses in Royale stem from getting my kills stolen and being too slow to react (I mean, I had all my 'mons left though). Hell forbid I had to deal with a Trick Room match today [some guy sets up Trick Room, and I only had really fast 'mons], though the AI players were dumb and kept using noneffective moves on each other. I won though, but yeah. On a secondary note, I do have some of my legendaries transferred over; too bad I can't use them to burn some of those AIs, because a few need to be crushed. Just need to import my BP from Bank into Sun, then do breeding projects and I'll have enough to buy Mega Stones/whatever else.
