Flash Flyer - Sakura
Judging from that status someone made some time back, most of us did. (I named my Solgaleo something else; not sure on a name for Lunala; probably something in Hawaiian). I will be keeping it on team though for the E4, although in this case, my team is mostly full. Still need to look for an ideal nature; Smogon recommends Timid, but I have a Modest Synchronize user on cartridge (will require me to transfer stuff via the GTS for Timid, because I know I have them on Sun). Yemachu
Yemachu probably c/p'd it off Serebii and his browser automatically posted them in large letters; likely wasn't intentional.Thats one of the reasons I use BBCode Mode. Lets me copy paste stuff without all kinds of weird stuff happening. While I did indeed copy text, it wasn't from Serebii; it was the text I intended to post, but didn't seem to appear. Wanted to keep it while making sure not to double post. On desktop I usually use BBCode mode. But not on phone since the text does not wrap, making it quite hard to correctly place the cursor on long lines (yes I use the desktop layout on phone). Issue should be resolved. On topic of nicknames for Lunala and Solgaleo, I named my Lunala "Nebby" (I know, very creative). The spare Cosmog at Lake of the Moone is currently named "Pew", after the sound it supposedly makes. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Don't worry, it happens and personally not bothered with the large text (it'll do that if you copy off a word doc or something). Probably just that one member who was bothered. As for Lunala, I have that Timid Synchronize Abra on Moon, so suppose I can go either way now. Timid is likely the better nature since it lets you outspeed a number of really important ubers who are in the 90-95 speed tier. Speaking of ubers, Genesect has been moved back to be with them. Flash Flyer - Sakura
Smogon seems to agree with that, so yeah. (Though I rarely do online tournaments anyway due to time and usually lack of viable 'mons b/c of it, so probably wouldn't matter too much for in-game, but it works). Suppose I can evolve the Cosmoem I have on Sun for the Modest/power one (trade with self in Moon, evolve it and trade back)* As for Genesect, wondering why it got moved; I've always remembered it as being Ubers since release (unless the box legendaries were giving it hell among other things) (Then again, someone on Smogon said to stop mentioning the Eons / Diancie for S/M Uber analyses b/c former got nerfed [you know why, and blame Gamefreak for it] and latter isn't even here yet) ===* make sure I put a very common Pokemon for GTS before some random kid snipes it and I'm out a really good 'mon. For self trades trade put the crap Pokemon in first and ask for the good one. Either someone gives you one or you trade to yourself. Win/Win. Genesect has started OU for the past two gens and then gotten kicked out pretty quickly.
Flame Dragon
Double post, but likely important news. The Special Battle rules for Season 2 have been revealed. Season 2 will run from January 17th 2017 to March 19th 2017 and runs on Sun & Moon. This ruleset alters things to allow for the inclusion of Pokémon through the National Pokédex after the release of Bank later this month The base rules for this season are as follows: Battle type: Single Battle Pokémon Restrictions: National Pokédex. Banned Pokémon: Only 1 of the following can be used per team Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-Oh, Celebi, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Jirachi, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Phione, Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, Arceus, Victini, Reshiram, Zekrom, Kyurem, Keldeo, Meloetta, Genesect, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zygarde, Diancie, Hoopa, Volcanion, Cosmog, Cosmoem, Solgaleo, Lunala, Necrozma, Magearna The other standard rules apply, including all set to Level 50 if above that, and you choose 1 Pokémon out of your 6, and you cannot have two Pokémon holding the same hold item. Going to take this to mean the bank update will be going love around the time this starts, IE: the 17th.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yeah, it's important; least for when we can expect to start being able to import stuff. Don't really care about the battle season, since I likely will not have time to do any during the semester. "Be patient, everyone; you'll get your chance at redemption soon" - me to the rest of my legendaries in Gen
evilfusion
Today was a fun day. I managed to hatch a shiny Alola Vulpix that I had started breeding for recently. Amusingly, I didn't even realize it was shiny until I was going through the boxes and suddenly realized one of them had a red star in its status screen. I had placed 18 eggs in Poke Pelago overnight, hatched them all today. And I SOS chained a shiny female Salandit. I tried to capture it in a Beast Ball, to no avail. Wasted about 27 Beast Balls before using a different ball, since this happened shortly before my work shift, so I couldn't afford to spend any more time. Flash Flyer - Sakura
This ended yesterday, but yeah, if you didn't get your FC from the global mission, do it now. As we suspected, not enough 'mons to make it (more than 60% but...) To be fair, I only caught one 'mon off of it during the time period on Sun. I did catch something on Moon (Cyndaquil, but w/e), but forgot to Game Sync afterwards and it didn't go through. FC should go for both games (Moon already has it, but let's see if Sun will get it as well; did Moon first because that one needs the FC more). The second Pokémon Sun & Moon Global Mission is now over on Pokémon Sun & Moon. This Global Mission was to have all players find a total of 1,000,000 Pokémon through Island Scan. Unfortunately, the mission is counted as a failure as only 661,839 Pokémon were found during this duration. As such, the failure reward of 217FC, or 434FC if the game is registered on the Global Link is now available. Would've been 661,840 if I had gotten mine on time, but still wouldn't have been enough otherwise. Probably goes for other players who missed the cutoff. ===Just gotta beat the league for Moon, and main story is over. I've said this in the past but postgame training will be very long/boring; especially if we only have the league as consistent/repeatable level grinding, and level 63-65 doesn't really give much after a while. (I'm not counting Battle Buffet b/c all of them are level 55 and once per day for whatever reason; it is technically repeatable if you leave after 9 turns, yes, but it's tedious.) Would've been nice if they were level 70+ during the rematches [b2W2 are 72-79, which helps a lot], and yeah, more places to train. Split EXP formula is tolerable, but lack of good places to level grind isn't [yeah, you have the Festival Plaza to an extent, but those cost a lot of points]. Hopefully they fix this in the sequels. Flame Dragon
I think the lack of good level grinding spots is made much worse by not having a Lucky Egg to farm. In my Y version I have a full 6 and thanks to the restaurant triple battles I can train up a lot of my high level Pokemon really fast. Or I can just kill Durant hordes which give over 4000 exp when you use the lucky egg.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
That, and the Battle Chateau in X/Y. Sure, you have to pay big money to get high level opponents, but at least they're consistent (2-3 mons helps) and you'll generally get a ton of money out of it as well. Would've been nice if Lucky Egg were farmable like they were last generation (as opposed to being given AFTER you become Champion); I have 4 of them on AS and usually training stuff off Blissey bases or the level 100 guys I have in Secret Base (usually legendaries). Might've helped if we had stuff like Audino or the Blissey lines more available in the wild (outside SOS fights); those gave a ton of EXP.

Shiny Alola Ninetalea is somewhat easier to recognize. Luckily(?) the only way for Moon to obtain Alola Vulpix is through trading and breeding. In both which cases you own it, so you don't accidentially knock it out bacause you didn't notice the sparkles. Is it a good one, or just for your collection? Also how long did it take to S.O.S-chain for that shiny, while training my Pokémon, and searching for hidden abilities, I have created some (I think) reasonably chains; haven't encountered a Shiny that way though (all my shinies (2 Alola Vulpix (1 of which became a Ninetales)) come from eggs). In other news a patch should currently be available for Sun and Moon, solving some issues that occur during online battles.

Yea, having a high EXP yield Pokemon in the wild to SOS train against would make level grinding super easy. In other news a patch should currently be available for Sun and Moon, solving some issues that occur during online battles. Curious that they put out the patch now and not when the national dex goes live in a couple weeks. I mean, the game doesn't have Dex entries for it and it would be wrong for them to not get some. Urayne
ive found acual refrences to the possible sinnoh remakes in this game due to this video: https://youtu.be/B_O3sV6Qajc
Flash Flyer - Sakura
I'll be surprised if they start announcing plans for Gen 4 remakes now; usually they wait until even number generations to do so (1st generation being the only exception thus far). If anything, still waiting for Bank to be functional for Gen 7; will save me a lot of time and pain having to transfer 'mons via GTS and risk getting them swiped. Granted, I will still need it for trade evolutions, but least other stuff can be moved. Hopefully Poke Transporter will still work for moving stuff from Gen 5 to 6; otherwise I'd better start transferring stuff right now, or else they're stuck in White 2 forever. ~British Soul~
From Serebii;A brand new patch has been released for the Generation VII Pokémon games. This patch brings the game up to Version 1.1 and provides a few updates. The patch is 296 blocks to download. These patches are required to go online on your games and required to participate at official events. This patch fixes the previously announced glitch with the moves Z-Parting Shot and Z-Memento on Battle Spot and a glitch in regards to the winner of a game if Rocky Helmet knocks the opponent out when you're knocked out. It also fixes the glitch where a Pokémon wouldn't learn a move when it evolved such as with Kadabra and ConfusionNote: Battle Videos from Version 1.0 cannot be watched in Version 1.

I'd hardly say we have a pattern. We have 4 gens since they started doing remakes and 3 of them have it. You can just as easily argue Gen 5 suggests a switch to a 2 games per Gen. Honestly, I'd expect news about a new game in a few months since they announce in Q1 and the games come out in Q4.

It's a 4 IV Timid with Snow Warning, in a Luxury Ball, which is what I wanted. I have a 5IV French male Mamoswine that is nice both for IV breeding Field group, and applying Masuda Method. I got the Salandit in a little under an hour. Started at like 1:05, found it by 1:50. Shift started at 2. It's got a Hardy (Neutral) nature, but 4 IVs. I was using a Sylveon, naturally. Also, this morning, hatched a shiny Sandshrew in 4 eggs. Sadly, it was the only one that DIDN'T have Slush Rush, so he's probably just going to be a trophy. Generally, I've prefer breeding shinies, as you get better and more usable results, but SOS chaining isn't too bad.

Mine only has speed and special attack maxed out, though bottle caps can solve that. The nature, egg moves and ability are what I wanted for it, and the Moon Ball's particles fit quite nicely with its shiny sparkle. Though I'm tempted to breed another one in a Love Ball since I got a good Japanese one. As for "Sylveon, naturally", why would you consider it that way? It doesn't have acces to false swipe and entrainment as far as I am aware, and it is weak to poison. Am I missing something which makes it a prime Pokémon for S.O.S-chaining? I usually use Pangoro. When in pursuit of a shiny Salandit, since ONLY the female evolves, and it's got a 1/8 female-to-male gender ratio, a Sylveon's Cute Charm is ideal for upping the chances of encountering a shiny female. It's for this reason that I'm not bothering to try to breed for a shiny Salazzle - the odds are stacked against you. Can't deny it was a tremendous hassle, due to the frequency of being poisoned, burned, or just reduced in health, but Sylveon is immune to Dragon Rage, for whatever that's worth. And I didn't need Salandit's hidden ability, so I didn't need a means of checking the ability (although Skill Swap can do in a pinch). I wouldn't use Sylveon for regular SOS chaining unless I'm specifically hunting a female with a hidden ability.

evilfusion
Is anyone even looking forward to the gen 4 remakes? Is there any official confirmation whatsoever that they're in development? I don't mean hints or references in the game. I mean actual reports that the games ARE being made. By a source that's actually official, and not just hearsay. Every time there's a new gen or new game, people point at something as defining proof that a version is being remade, but it rarely proves anything, even if it EVENTUALLY is true. I do expect them to make a Gen IV remake eventually, and I love Sinnoh as a region, but unless there's something definitive...it's pointless. I've never been a huge fan of speculation. Sure, some theorizing and such can be fun, but there's only so far any conversation that involves 95% speculation can bring.

Game freak tends to shadow possible remakes and games, even though the shadow marks tend to be well hidden.
