Astro Dude
Any pokemon with Cosmic Power and Baton Pass can pass defense to Pheremosa. And I just got Sun three days ago, But in Moon I got all 4 Tapus and am starting gathering Ultra Beasts. I thought catching Tapu Fini would be easy. Man was I wrong. Tapu Fini was Water Fairy so in theory a Net Ball should have worked. But if it didn't work on Tapu Fini, what chance would it have on Pheremosa? ~British Soul~
Playing through moon with this team:- Pacifica the Brionne, level 17- Zapper the Pichu, level 17 (name subject to change)- Digger the Diglett, level 17- Mr Stache the Rattata, level 17- Snowflake the Makuhita, level 17 (don't ask why it's named that)- Blaze Dog the Growlithe, level 17(italics' are final team) The Cranberry Kahuna almost destroyed me (was only left with Pichu and Popplio) if he didn't decide to throw against Popplio.Ofc, I am facing a similar situation with White 2 as I'm not gonna evolve Pikachu till level 42 which is like Aether Foundation part 2 progress-wise. A passed defense boost to Pheremosa isn't going to do much. If your passing boosts you have many better things to be doing. It does work on Tapu Fini. Just even with the increased odds, the Tapu have a catch rate of 3. They are going to take a little to get.

But, Pheremosa has a catch rate of 255(33.3%) so if you put one to sleep it should be real easy to get one in any desired pokeball you want. ~British Soul~
Anywho, so whilst I'm hunting for Eevee on Route 4 (team member #4), I run into a Shiny Mudbray. I'll just grab that then and continue getting an Eevee later. Note: That's my first non-SOS shiny. (cropped up in random encounter)
Urayne
Uhhh pretty sure it doesn't work that way. From what I recall, only females can pass down hidden abilities (or males if the partner is a Ditto). Basically, if you're trying to get a Pokemon with a hidden ability, its parent of the same species has to have the hidden ability too.Guess I'll have to wait for pokebank then. Honestly I think it's a little odd that they don't have catch rates of 3 and that two even have a max catch rate.
Tinkerer
I personally think it's really appropriate to catch UBs in UBs.

Honestly I think it's a little odd that they don't have catch rates of 3 and that two even have a max catch rate.I think the reason for that is because they aren't actually rare. Well in the dimension they come from anyways. And they are only seemingly legendary out side of their dimension.

Flash Flyer - Sakura
You can use regular Poke Balls (as in the standard ones) for the Ultra Beasts if you'd like more of a challenge and really want them like that, but Beast Balls are generally your go-to if you want them quickly. Seriously, Kartana/Pheromosa will be instant capture with them due to catch rate; others may require some prior weakening, but that's obvious. ===But anyway, in terms of Moon progress (and current); just gotta do the Dragon trial, deal with Nihilego/Lusamine, catch Nebby (or whatever I decide to name Lunala), beat the league and main story is over. (There is some overlap between my Sun team and this one [bolded], but yeah)Stardust the Espeon (level 50)Ashika the Primarina (level 44)Harajuku the Lycanroc/Midday (level 55); was an import from self before Po Town.Ash-Greninja (level 47)Edge the Lycanroc/Midnight (level 42); original one I caught at Ten Carat Hill.Kurayami the Absol (level 44)(I technically have a Mudsdale in here as well, but think that's level 37 at the moment. Currently in Isle Evelup doing HP training because I don't have the time to finding fast HP areas. Attack is already maximized, which is good.) ===Also got a Japanese HA Espeon in a Love Ball via Wonder Trade, which is kinda cool. (Bold nature though, and EVs are all over the place). Can't complain though, considering randomness and that I was WT'ing Abra rejects (for Synchronize purposes). Need to get a Timid Synchronize user over, if only for Ditto stuff (and potentially for Lunala in a moment; need to check if I should take the speed boost or added Special Attack; latter can be done since I have a Modest nature one). I know I have two Synchronize users with Timid nature on my Sun cartridge; just need to make sure some kid doesn't snipe it on GTS. (What choice do we have until Gamefreak makes Bank work properly). That, and early transfer one of my Kartanas to Moon if I really need to.

Meanwhile, I am going to give myself an ulcer trying to catch Tapu Fini in a Beast Ball.
The Warden
I just wanted to be done with the UBs. I didn't even weaken them, I just threw balls. The only one who gave me trouble was Xurkitree, as both of them needed 2 BBs each to be caught.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
To be fair, Fini was the one that gave me the most headaches (screw you Aqua Ring), but seems that a lot of people had issues with it too. Other three weren't too much of a pain. But yeah, I just used the Beast Balls for the UBs and was done with it (aside from Buzzwole/Guzzlord requiring maybe an extra ball or so even after some weakening). Probably only one I didn't battle was Kartana (throw ball and gg). Still have plenty left that I haven't used yet. (Also still amused at catching Necrozma in a standard Poke Ball, though that was just me burning time for Timer Balls to work; definitely won't be as lucky on this run). Good luck with catching Fini in a Beast Ball though (at Mr. Spaz).

I don't know how I did that.Yeah Looker will give you 1 Beast Ball if you have none in your inventory. Which can be exploited by having your pokemon hold them. Tedious process but you have an unlimited amount by doing it.Not sure whether this holds true once you have captured all Ultra Beasts since I'm still in the process of capturing Pheromosa (captured a HA Dratini, HA Mareanie, regular Dewpider, HA Riolu and HA Bagon in Beast Balls instead). Which you can repeat so long as you don't have one in your inventory(you can have a pokemon hold one to get around that, sort of).

Yemachu
According to Serebii the Munchlax event is to end next Wednesday (11th of January 2017). If you are interested in it, get it while you still can. It has "Hold Back" ("False Swipe" with a different name), "Celebrate" ("Z-Celebrate" boosts all 'lax's stats by 1), and comes with a "Snorilium-Z" (cannot be obtained otherwise, yet). Flash Flyer - Sakura
Yemachu probably c/p'd it off Serebii and his browser automatically posted them in large letters; likely wasn't intentional. But yeah, going to beat Lusamine for the final time, get Nebby (I can't bring self to call Lunala that, even after the whole storyline involving it), then beat the league for the first time. I set a goal to do all that within a week (least before college starts tomorrow).

I think a lot of people call the box legendary Nebby. Though personally, I feel like Lunala makes for the better Nebby between it and Solgaleo. And honestly, I wanted so bad to have it on my team. Like, not to use, but to just have with me for the last bit of the game.
