I probably had issues with Mallow's trial b/c I chose the Water starter, but still beat Lurantis anyway (think I had to resort to using Trumbeak or something, which is now sitting in box doing nothing at level 21-ish.)
 
To be fair though about Butterfree, it does fine in-game, but otherwise it's still going to be outclassed by other Bugs.

For side stuff now, just trying to beat the E4 with the 'mons I said I would use back then, but didn't due to availability and later finding out that their speed sucks and/or being postgame. 
 

Probable team for Sun:

• Primarina (Well, I kept true to this for the most part, even if I'm keeping him in Poke Pelago while his son is going up the ladder)
• Lycanroc (This one went through, even though IVs were somewhat bad)
• Kommo-o (Training one now, but not used)
• Espeon (Kept true to this, even though I bred it from my starter and its speed IV was hideous.)
• Mudsdale (Kept true to this, even though old one is in Pelago; I have a new Female one at level 80-something with Adamant and perfect Attack IV)
• Alola Ninetales (Haven't used)

Side options

• Lucario (Would've used if Riolu were available in an area NOT accessible post-game. I have one now, and he is doing wonders [think I might want a mixed one to use Aura Sphere and Flash Cannon, b/c no Iron Tail and I didn't breed for Bullet Punch like my Gen 6 ones are])
• Vikavolt (Maybe used if area where it evolved wasn't late in the storyline; that, and if it weren't slow as hell)
• Type-O / Silvally (Postgame, so not used)
• Incineroar (I have one now, but not used in-game; probably because I got this one later on.)

 

I kept my promise on four of the 'mons I wanted in initial team, but two were switched out due to availability and other reasons; think Kommo-o went out for Solgaleo (I did have plans on using it later) and Alolan Ninetales switched for Jolteon (well, both are Kanto 'mons, so suppose it works and I do like Jolteon anyway).

The last three are for Evolution purposes. Now to get the Fairium and Dragonium Z. Icium Z is on the way to the E4, and that just leaves... pokemon exclusive Z crystals.

I recommend grabbing a Ditto and breeding a bunch. Gives you the 20 breeding if you need it for the IV checker and is more enjoyable imo.

Just caught Lunala in Moon.  No, I did not nickname it "Nebby."

 

Took me only two tries to get a Timid nature. Which is good enough I suppose.  Haven't checked IVs yet.

I'm about to catch Lunala, however, I was unable to catch any Dratini. (Lousy 10% appearance rate). Anyway, I'll wait until tomorrow. Since I'm playing Moon, it makes sense.

How many times have you tried going in and out of that cave in Vast Poni Canyon? (It'll be tedious to do it multiple times, yes)

 

Given you're about to get the version legendary, that means you haven't gotten to Poni Grove or anything past that (though to be fair, Gauntlet and Meadow both have a 10% chance to find it; others are either 'karp or Barboach). Or if you really want one and don't want to wait, could try looking on GTS (but don't be surprised if you get kids there asking for unreasonable stuff) or get lucky at Wonder Trades.

(At least I found my AS cartridge, so suppose it'll make it a little less stressful to finish the dex [imports]. Only things I'll still need to address are Lunala [i have a Cosmoem all ready to evolve; just need a Moon player or wait until I buy the game on my own and trade with self] and Pheromosa*).

 

* as I will be using it for Battle Tree/stuff, I want one that has an ideal nature and IVs where I need them to be. (Can't trust people on GTS)

Probably around 10 or 15. Battery issues. 

 

I So I decided after I beat Lusamine and got Lunala, which I did, I'll go back and try again. And I caught Lunala in a Dusk Ball. Seemed appropriate. When I get Sun, I think I'll catch Solgaleo with either a Quick ball or a Timer ball. Save Master Ball for Necrozma.

Ehh, I don't know about that. With the special QR codes provided you can get 2-3 scans a day. I mean if even just 35k people did 2 scans a day we would be at almost 500k right now..........

I alone am already going to have 17 scans by the end of the day............

Okay, we all know the Kahuna's are supposed to be Alola's Elite Four. We know Hala and Olivia made the cut no problem, and Nanu couldn't make it so he told Acerola to go in his place. That covers three of the island kahunas, which leads me to the fourth, Kahili. My theory is because Poni Island didn't have a kahuna after the passing of Hapu's grandfather, and Hapu was new to the Kahuna thing, Prof Kukui had to have kept in touch with Kahili to tell her about the pokemon league in Alola.

 

 

 

That's my theory on the Alola e4 anyway.

I did, I was impling that it was possible to do but it isn't now Well it is but you would need more then 3x the amount of people to go ham and do the max possible scans they can do everyday from now till next tuesday.

This is generally agreed to be the most likely thing that happened.

We have no official word. My guess is end of the month is more likely than start.

It's not that he couldn't make it, he just downright refused.

 

"Nanu said maybe he can't refuse a tapu choosing him to serve as kahuna... But he'd be darned if he had to serve as one of the Elite Four just because some guy asked him! So I guess I'll just have to battle hard enough to make up for his not being here!"

I have a copy of Moon now (used, but who cares?); only problem is that the previous owner left some stuff that may need to be moved over. (Basically, starter, Eevee and some other misc stuff; guy only had 12 'mons in his box [well, only up to 'Akala Island])

 

Once I move stuff over, going to reset the game and play as the female character with the name I want.

Just hope GTS kids don't get in the way of the transfer process (basically, sending junk 'mons over to that new cartridge [stuff that you shouldn't have to use GTS for], trade them for the other stuff and then do whatever]. Would be nice if Bank were working for Gen 7, but what can we do?

DAMN GTS kids...... Dont count on it. GTS Kids really are dumb. One bad apple spoils the bunch.
