Somewhat standard build, I suppose, only difference is Fossil Dig + Gilasaurus. Still need help on it as it appears to be rough around the edges.

 

Reason I went with Fossil Dig + Gilasaurus is because both are live when drawn, whereas you cry when you draw Blue. It's also more resilient to Maxx "C", so you can still make a Dante without giving them a +1.

 

Kagemucha Knight is meh for the reason it's not very searchable, and wasting RotA on it is bad. Maxx "C" also picks up on it.

 

tbh, Mathematician doesn't seem to add much to the deck, so I may take it out.

 

Mask Change II should be in here, honestly.

Any reason for Dark Hole over Raigeki? Is it for making Terrortop's SS effect usable?

 

I LOVE the way you are using Gilasaurus + Fossil Dig, and although it is a great card turn 1 I feel it could be way too risky late game. How has it been working for you?

I run both Raigeki and Dark Hole :/

 

Gilasaurus sucks endgame, yeah, but I want my opening hand to be consistent as possible, and opening up Fossil Dig / Gila isn't unlikely. I'm also trying to mitigate Maxx "C" as much as possible since letting them draw 2-3 is bad.

 

EDIT: Junk Forward is another option I can look into.

Lack of space is a major issue in this deck, I don't see how to fit it in, and payoff is kind of meh.

I'm personally not liking the idea of Gilasaurus. Like, sure I guess having 1 wouldn't hurt because early game it can be safely used and be converted into a Dante, but you're devoting x3 of them and running Fossil Dig. A far better R3 component that should be considered instead is the x3 E-Tele/x1 Blue/x1-2 Ghost Ogre engine. Because unlike the Gilasaurus engine, Blue Layer can be used infinitely as long as it isn't banished, while it doesn't give my opponent a risky +1 advantage. x3 Gila and x3 Fossil just seems like it's prone to clog errors if you open with multiple copies of it or either at once and it's pretty finite in its R3 ability.Maybe you wouldn't care about it too much in the current metagame, but as a general rule of thumb; I would rather just avoid risking giving them anything at all. I wouldn't care too much if it gets around Maxx "C"; PKs still spam beyond anyway and you can sit on a Dante to wear off the "C". I'd personally drop all the Fossil Digs and set the Gilas to 2.

 

 I think you're going off the deep end with the discard fodder use here. Lightning Vortex just seems very meh. You already got Raigeki, so even if you can net a PK dump, it's still a -2 no more no less.

 

You should be fine with only Dank Law and no Anki. Anki seems a bit pointless because odds are, you will would only resolve Mask Change II once per game, and would prioritize Dank Law, unless you wanted to push for game. But otherwise...Dank Law is just more superior. You'd be fine adding back a Break Sword or Trish if you wish to run Tri-Eyed Dice or Ghost Ogre again.
