TheMonkfish3000
So, I've been working on my Phantom Knights recently, and I think I've come up with a fairly decent build here. Βyakuya
The Level 4s are actually bad. Fragile Armor's effect is just dependent on your stuff being destroyed, and a +1 draw is not as strong as a Cloak or Boots search. Helm is also bad cause adding during EP is slower than Cloak and Boots, even if it can search either the monsters or traps. You'd be better off investing in x3 of all the Level 3 Phantom Knights since they're more reliable and consistent, and are straightforward in R3 summons. If you do, popping Break Swords upgrades to R4 easier. The key to Phantom Knights is that they need to set up quickly, with an initial Dante to set up their stuff. Speedroids pair very well with the deck; I personally recommend x3 Top, x1-2 Taketomborg to go with for an easy R3 -> Dante without eating your NS. Filling the void for the other replaced Phantom Knights can place in x2 Kagemusha Knight (RotA target and is basically a Level 3 Kagetokage), Mathematician, and probably Crane Cranes. Arma engine is totally fine, though you could cut it down to 1-2 and run a Zephyros with it. The Dark World draw cards are not worth it nowadays since you risk giving your opponent +s. The best kind of draw power is fine enough with Allure and Upstart Goblin. If you filter the deck and send stuff to the Grave, you don't have to worry about draws. Monster Gate is fine, but Reasoning is problematic since a more Level 3 focused build is pretty vulnerable and can lead to unwanted situations. I would replace the Reasonings with Twin Twisters instead. You can minimize the Phantom Knight Trap lineup to just x3 Fogblade and x1-2 Wing. Sword is mediocre and is not as efficient as Wing, because unlike Sword, Wing lingers and is directly sent to the Graveyard, while Sword wears off if it gets Twin Twister'd, which is pretty common nowadays. But you can always stick to 1-2 if your testing proves fine. I really would like it better if you ran more generic traps and things like Mirror Forces for protection since Phantom Knights can tend to be vulnerable. IMO, I would just cut out all the non-DARK R4s you got, because even if you expect Break Sword dying, you have to expect your summoned Phantom Knights die too, since Break Sword can just easily be popped during MP1 and then the rest of the little guys die in battle, so don't get your hopes up when you might be able to get out a mediocre Castel or Gandiva. Cut those, Rhongo, and the Evilswarms, except for Nightmare. Nightmare is amazing. Add Nightmare Shark (Game Finisher), Key Beetle (PK Protector), Rhapsody (Pair with Cloak & Gloves eff for max power Break Sword), Granpulse (More powerful MST than Alucard with a 2.8k booty), Downerd (Converts your fragile and used R3s into a better beater), and F0 (Your out to Kozmos, Monarchs, or anything too big). Geminixxmind
Well I don't typically think its a bad build, but I do think it needs some more work. For instance lightsworns are great in the deck. Raiden is a good option because he has some high atk and can mill twice in one turn so that you cab get your combos sooner. Lumina is also a good card to have to sp another one from grave for a rank 3 monster. Lyla is good for popping back row and def and milling but that's about it. Also charge of the light brigade is good for the mills and adding. And then we can add twin twisters for the three dragged down to the grave and either mirror force or dimensional prison isn't a bad choice. Also it needs a good side deck so I recommend something like anti spell fragrance and mask of restrict to help stop monarchs. Now onto the extra deck. I would add one more Dante, and take out the nightmare for and extra thanatos and possibly add a daigusto emeral to get monsters back if need be.
