bury the year
First official spoilers, hell yes. And we have some powerful ones. Eerie Interlude is pretty much a strictly better Ghostway (can't hit shroud but how often do we see that). Very welcome card, considering the alternative is nearly $10. For those wondering why Compelling Deterrence is uncommon, it's a better Recoil in zombie decks, and Recoil is already very strong. I don't know how often delirium will trigger, and it'll definitely take special consideration when building a deck. Tooth Collector seems like it'd be good in limited but not do much elsewhere: Topplegeist is the same, but I for some reason like it better. Feels like a baby Sentinel of the Eternal Watch. It's also a bit unusual that delirium's appearing in white. Good stuff overall. Art is amazing: it looks like the design of this block is much less digitally-focused than Battle block was. .Rai
I've always loved Innistrad's art direction. Shaping up to be a cool set. Topplegeist is cute too. Tim Burton-y little bastard, knocking down candles and shizzle. It's also a pretty strong white weenie card. I'm very happy with this first bunch of official spoilers. (GigaDrillBreaker)
I keep misreading delirium as domain. Stupid ability words... Really though, I think I said it before, Mindwrack is brilliant. I am honestly madly in love with this card. Like, we just need a good method of reanimation. My inner Sidisi Whip player is squeeling. Tooth collector is a cool cube card.
Poc
Tooth collector's art reminds me a lot of the 90s magic art. It's nice to get away from all the CG art thats been filling recent sets.
Tesability Black
'glances over the cards, then eyes beeline straight to one card' Hey, wait a minute... Oh, holeh, sh!t! Jace really does have a new outfit for once! I damned near missed him in this group of cards! (That's a hell of an effect, though, with the potential to get back almost all your mana depending on what you tapped for it!)
Flame Dragon
Demon looks very powerful. I'm sure he'll end up in constructed. Interlude is cool. Can be very powerful given the right deck. Pore Over Pages is just sweet. It just does so much. Deterrence looks powerful. Collector looks good in limited. Geist seems insane in limited if you can turn him on. The art for the set looks amazing. REALLY digging it. As for the deck lists themselves, they are underwhelming. Its virtually mono-innistrad cards.
heraldry_lord
Oh, holeh, sh!t! Jace really does have a new outfit for once! I damned near missed him in this group of cards! (That's a hell of an effect, though, with the potential to get back almost all your mana depending on what you tapped for it!) Everyone gets new clothes when they go to Innistrad; just look at Garruk and Liliana when they were there. I agree that I like where this set is going. Seems there will be some nice control cards to help compensate a little for the loss of Dig Through Time and friends.
