cr47t
So the point of this is to make a functioning Monarch with only 1-2 cards in the extra deck, and they would be rank 8s. I got the idea from looking at Ether's effect. (I would side a lot of different rank 8s though.) Decklist(incomplete) 3x Ether the Heavenly Monarch2x Zaborg the Mega Monarch1x Thestalos the Mega Monarch3x Edea Squire3x Ethos Squire3x Tenacity of the Monarchs3x Pantheism of the Monarchs3x Wonder Xyz (Only an idea, seeing as squires would normally turn off extra deck for the turn) I could use some help with trying to get this to work, if possible. Sander
Have fun wasting resources that you can't actually afford to waste. Also you'll most likely will not even get to resolve Wonder Xyz, unless you aim to make some bad moves in your opponents turn for a Rank 8. IQuitDolphin
Have fun wasting resources that you can't actually afford to waste. Not exactly a constructive response, but let me try to expand further on this. The deck is literally just Monarchs with an Extra Deck that makes Domain useless. It's reliant on drawing Wonder Xyz and it's difficult to get 2 Mega Monarchs on the field without it getting blown up the next turn in today's gamestate. The Rank 8 pool is also not good enough to consider wasting your Monarchs in the first place. Overall, an interesting idea, but the deck is inconsistent as it is and adding more inconsistency in the name of techs is bad. Hieratic Monarchs have a much better shot. Ryusei the Morning Star
It all depends WHEN TCG gets harbinger. But agreed with Dolphin, Hieratic Monarchs with a bigger focus on Ultimaya and Zaborg works better Also damn it dude, unblock me

Ryusei the Morning Star
Who, me? I didn't block you :/OP did, um but about Hieratic Monarch, I think the full 15 card extra is honestly fine. Twin Twister is too legit of a card to rely on on the dominion lock when you can do something like stardust Crystal lock return if you play your cards right
Βyakuya
R8 is a waste of an investment. Domain is a powerful card to use since a lot of decks crumble before it. Even if Aither goes off, the key to Monarchs is that you're supposed to be doing a good amount of board removal while being oppressive, and wasting resources to get a mediocre R8 isn't worth the time. I mean sure it would be powerful but the price to pay is not worth it. Wonder Xyz is not consistent enough to pop up when you need it and cannot be a good guaranteed use, and it's hard getting out Mega Monarchs at once if you don't have Aither. That said, run more Erebus and just stick to a better variant build or the standard one.
cr47t
Ok. I didnt really expect this to get more posts after Winter's repost, but whatever. Won't build it as a full Monarch deck, but I'm considering trying this combo as part of a custom deck not fully focused on the monarchs. Would that be any good?
