The Political Compass

So I found this cool website that asks you a number of questions then places you on a matrix like this:

With the US general election coming up at some point, it might be worth seeing who you should be voting for principally. They've even put some of the candidates on the matrix, which is incredibly revealing:

It's revealed here that almost all your main candidates are right-wing authoritarian, most of them very extreme. It also reveals Bernie Sanders to be the most "moderate" of the candidates (closest to the centre). While I'm not from America so I don't have much inside knowledge, from what I understand Bernie Sanders has been portrayed as pretty damn radical (sometimes as a loony) by the mainstream media, but actually he is the more centrist. I could go on for ages about how the modern Establishment has manipulated the consensus, gradually shifting it rightwards to push through their actually very extreme views as moderate, but I won't bore you.

Anyway, if you find this s*** interesting, take the test, it could be quite revealing.

Here's mine, for those who are interested:

Yeah, I'm pretty radical, it would seem.

I found myself REALLY wishing for a neutral option on a few of the questions, so I feel like these results are a bit skewed.

This means I lean towards anarachism and communism, and similar to Gandhi according to the site... But I guess that's ideals that I know can't be implemented. Communism is twisted far beyond the core idea, which is a wodnerful ideal, so can't happen. Anarchy part shocked me a bit, though.

It's funny how in America, the standard response to someone being left-wing is to point at them and go "damn commy, we don't want your type here". Anarchism has just become associated with people with signs shouting things in the street, but there's a hell of a lot more to it than that.

As an American, I always took that as an older generation thing due to witch hunts/modern joke. Like with Raine above, though it came across spammy.

As for the signs, well... despite the results, I guarantee you wouldn't see me doing that, so I guess I'm an example for the better? Vocal minorities and all, though.

Hell, I call myself slightly right-wing, so this confuses me a bit.

Your Political Compass

Economic Left/Right: -5.88

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 4.0

I take it back then, I am not neutral on the authoritarian/libertarian. This is because I am no progressive and am against foolhardy "investment" endeavors. My political compass should look like this then:
