Astro Dude
Okay show of hands, who here has or has had a Gamecube? ... Okay, who here has heard of Yugioh Falsebound Kingdom? ... Okay, Apparently you all need to be properly educated so LISTEN UP! Yugioh Falsebound Kingdom be the only Yugioh game for the Gamecube and it takes a rather different approach from the traditional card game. Allow me to set the stage. There are three story modes. The first two focus on Yugi and Kaiba. In Yugi's story, He, along with his friends Joey, Tristan and Tea, are invited by this company called SIC to test out a new game terminal that looks just like a duel disc. They try it and as usual well, you watch the anime so you know where this goes. Yugi, in his alterego, assumes the role of main hero after he and his buds are seperated, but he is joined by some old friends and is ready to take on this world as a leader of the resistance. Seto Kaiba and his brother Mokuba go through the same thing except they work for the empire until they brand him a traitor just for talking to Pegasus. Yugi's teammates are as follows: YugiShimon MuranFizdis (You know...The Egyptian servant girl who was also the Big Lipped Alligator. Basically my favorite character to play as despite her stats being crud (4/10 everything at lv 99).TristanBakuraMako TsunamiJoey (Until he turns evil but goes back to being good).Mai ValentineTea (Same deal with Joey but we get her back first)Espa RobaBosses include Secmeton, Kepura, Yami Bakura, Seeker, Arkana and Strings. Kaiba has the following as his servants:Seto KaibaMokubaMarthis (For only three missions, after that he is never played again)BonzWeevilRex RaptorPegasusLabyrinth RulerIshizu Ishtar. The final boss differs for each story. Yugi and pals face off against Obelisk the Tormentor, while Kaiba and crew fight Slifer the Sky Dragon. "But wait" says FlameDragon "What about the Winged Dragon of Ra"? Well that's where story 3 comes in: A short campaign starring Joey Wheeler and his band of bandits known as the Black Dragon Squad. Who also consist of the peasant and the kid who are named Jusell and Malairuka. I wish Yami Marik was the final boss of this but Joey can't use Ra. And the final battle was Joey vs. Kaiba. Gameplay is more of a strategic RPG. Basically they're like endurance battles more than anything, except, they're on a time limit. All you need to do is have your troops capture enemy forces. For a list of cards, go here: http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/List_of_Yu-Gi-Oh!_The_Falsebound_Kingdom_cards For acquisition, get the guide. Also, a few of the female monsters are seen in their uncensored glory. For the most part, with the exception of Scott and the guard guy, most of the portraits seen in game come from games of Yugioh past: Forbidden Memories, Dawn of Destiny, Eternal Duelist Soul but mostly from Stairway to the Destined Duel. Some music tracks come from Duelist of the Roses. In any case, this game is great for those who like Yugioh, so come on, join in and tell me what you think. Ryusei the Morning Star
God I love this game, I wish YGO had the three blue eyes names as well too!!
~British Soul~
I remember having to use a walkthrough to figure out how to get the bloody Moisture Creature.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Hell, I still haven't gotten Moisture Creature even after doing it multiple times.(Although I gave up after a while because it legitimately pissed me off) Now I just wish I had Kaiba and Joey used their actual aces, as opposed to forcing Yugi's Magicians on the two of them. ~British Soul~
Yeah, Moisture Creature can be a pain in the ass to get because it's not in a set position as well as being time consuming to obtain. I know it took me a couple of tries myself.
Lonk
As cool as the game was, the biggest flaw in it was the fact that subsequent playthroughs don't bring up your recruitable monsters and characters up to par, which makes trying to raise them incredibly painful and tedious. It could be considered like Fire Emblem pre-Awakening in that regard, but I'm not fond of how even creatures you encounter that you can recruit start at something like Level 1 and everyone else is like Level 40. mitchermitcher
O damn, how nostalgic. This is like, one of my favorite Gamecube games. I don't think as a kid I ever finished it but I sure as hell played through a decent chunk of it. I was really excited to find out that thing that allowed you to play as Kaiba or Joey or something(or were they just selectable in the first place I can't really remember). This track makes me remember fun stuff.
~British Soul~
@Mitcher: Yugi/Kaiba were the default campaigns, Joey was the one you had to unlock (after beating the others).
Astro Dude
Oh man, guys. Looks like I got a winner. I have the game too, beat it multiple times, First off, no, the game does not have permadeath. You character comes back, just at half health for all three of his/her monsters. Second, I kinda agree for the most part about Moisture Creature. This should help
