epicmemesbro
I know making cards out of Pokemon may have been done several times before, but I wanted to give my take on it. Name: Nidoran ♂ During your Standby Phase: You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Nidorino" (from your Deck). When your opponent targets this card for an attack: They must flip a coin. If they call it right, they can attack normally, otherwise that monster cannot attack. When this monster is targeted for an attack: Destroy the monster that attacked this card at the end of the 3rd turn. Name: Nidorino During your Standby Phase: You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Nidorino" (from your Deck). If this card was Special Summoned by "Nidoran": It gains 300 ATK and DEF, also your opponent cannot activate card or effects in response to this card's Summon. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. When this monster is targeted for an attack: Destroy the monster that attacked this card at the end of the 2rd turn. Name: Nidoking If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. When this monster is targeted for an attack: Destroy the attacking monster at the end of your turn. If this card was summoned by Tributing a "Nidorino" equipped with "Moon Stone": Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's Summon, also, it gains 500 ATK and DEF and the following effect:* This monster can make up to 3 attacks during each Battle Phase, but cannot attack directly. At the end of the Battle Phase: Change its battle position. Name: Moon Stone Equip only to a Level 4 or lower monster. Once per turn: You can negate a card effect that targets the equipped monster. Once per turn, the equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle.y battle.
Flash Flyer - Sakura
Nidoran ♂ During your Standby Phase: You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 "Nidorino" (from your Deck). When your opponent targets this card for an attack: They must flip a coin. If they call it right, they can attack normally, otherwise that monster cannot attack. When this monster is targeted for an attack: Destroy the monster that attacked this card at the end of the 3rd turn.OK Nidoran is slow poisoning, but in most cases, the opponent will likely have that monster used for Extra Deck fodder or something. Though, a ruling question, if the opponent calls the coin toss wrong, they cannot attack Nidoran or at all, period? (I will assume the former) To be fair, about the same level of strength as Zone Eater / Swordsman from a Foreign Land (both of which are extremely bad). Nidorino During your Standby Phase: You can add 1 "Nidoking" from your Deck to your hand. If this card was Special Summoned by "Nidoran": It gains 300 ATK and DEF, also your opponent cannot activate card or effects in response to this card's Summon. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. I'm not as impressed at Nidorino's effect when compared to Nidoran. Assuming you can keep Nidoran alive long enough, you get a 20/19 that can't be chained to, but other than that, it just pierces. Not that it's a bad thing, but just that it's missing something. At least you can search Nidoking, but for it to work as effectively, you NEED Moon Stone also (something Nidorino does not search). Nidoking If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict piercing battle damage to your opponent. When this monster is targeted for an attack: Destroy the attacking monster at the end of your turn. If this card was summoned by Tributing a "Nidorino" equipped with "Moon Stone": Your opponent cannot activate cards or effects in response to this card's Summon, also, it gains 500 ATK and DEF and the following effect:This monster can make up to 3 attacks during each Battle Phase, but cannot attack directly. At the end of the Battle Phase: Change its battle position; it cannot be changed until your 2nd Main Phase. It's delayed destruction, but by the time it reaches your turn, the opponent will have already used the "marked" monster for Extra Deck fodder (and Nidoking will likely be dead). Though, it becomes a triple attacking 2400/2800 monster which isn't bad (though Nidorino has to survive first, but Moon Stone gives it a small chance of living through things). To be honest, you really should remove the "can't change battle position" effect. Considering the effort needed to go into this in the first place, that effect cuts down on any usability Nidoking probably has at this moment. (Then again, Nidoran-M is the offensive form, so feel that its stats should be inverted) Moon Stone Equip only to a Level 4 or lower monster. Once per turn: You can negate a card effect that targets the equipped monster. Once per turn, the equipped monster cannot be destroyed by battle. Considering that a lot of things target nowadays, helps a little bit and grants the equipped monster some degree of longevity. But yes, non-targeting removal exists and certainly battle damage and all that. ------They aren't necessarily bad, but I feel that they are a bit underwhelming (especially with the later forms). I kept most of the metagame stuff out of this reply, but even then, a lot of things can still kill these guys.
epicmemesbro
ok, so I increased the ATk of Nidorino and Nidoking. Nidoking has had his stats inverted. I decided that in order to make Nidorino last longer I thought it best to give it Nidoran's effect that destroys an attacking monster after the 2nd turn that it attacked. Nidoking no longer cannot switch it's battle position from using its effect. Although I was wondering, should I give Nidorino and Nidoking the same effect as Nidoran-M? When your opponent targets this card for an attack: They must flip a coin. If they call it right, they can attack normally, otherwise that monster cannot attack
