Symphony of the Night

Basically a Pantheism for Vampires, though it has  hard OPT in both effects to avoid its abuse like the former

[spoiler=Lore]Banish 1 "Vampire" card from your hand; draw 2 cards, then you can send 1 "Vampire" card with a different name than the banished card from your Deck to the Graveyard. You can banish this card from your Graveyard; reveal 2 "Vampire" Cards with different names from your Deck, your opponent randomly picks 1 for you to add to your hand, and you shuffle the rest back into your Deck. You can only use 1 "Symphony of the Night" effect per turn, and only once that turn.

I think this would be an actual good starting point for Vampires as there most current problem right now is there speed and consistency. I mean lets face it Vampire Sorcerer has exact same effect as Goblin Zombie in terms of searching which makes the Vampire Deck have to rely on the initial presence of 1 of those guys on the field in order to get their searches... That is just unreliable: you are finding yourself cramming 3 Sorcerer's and 3 Goblin's just to search, when in actuality the deck could use the space for techs and variating plays.

The banish, Draw, and send effect: compliments the deck nicely as you could dump Vampire Sorcerer or Vampire Grace who don't mind being in the grave all that much, or dump a Level 5 Vampire to set up for Vampire Duke plays. And the Graveyard effect is pretty straightforward and balanced, but most of what you naturally would be picking for your opponent to pick at random is between Vampire Duke, and Shadow Vampire as those guys are the play makers of the deck.

I wouldn't mind Vampires getting this. They need it badly like a quench of blood.

Ohh actually that was an oversight and putting words from my mind into the card on my part... Glad I accidentally contributed.

Pandeity didn't actually make opponent choose at random though. It made the opponent choose the card outright, but the thing Monarchs had to make up with that is Tenacity and the selection of multiple copies of the cards that they need which was also pretty dumb on Konami's part, because you can make at least 1 of their choices null and void, if not, all choices.

So the random selection that I accidentally suggested you to put in this is actually a better make-up as you don't have to rely on your opponent's stubborn nature (random is good thing in this cards case; I mean it is 50/50) to choose the less optimal choice if you were put into situation where your ran out of good Shadow Vampire targets for whatever reason.

Ohh and one last thing, before I conclude this: *Symphony

I know that breaks Advance Clause, as it doesn't really provide an opinion for the card, but I exhausted all that I had to really say, and didn't really consider the misspelling at the time; but now it sort of bugs me. XD

Hmm... Let me think of else to say to meet up to Advance Clause.... Ohh here's one: I wish TCG allowed Vampire Orchis and Vampire Koala to be considered a part of the "Vampire" archetype. Just for fun deck options or variating Vampire Decks.

Didnt realize that either i will correct that immetidately

The problem is they dont contribute with the deck in any sense, and i think vampire vamp includes them (not sure though)

  • 2 weeks later...

Its on the top of the topic, i said its basically ripoff of pantheism, but its something most archtypes need (not as unrestricted as the original though). Especially if the main searcher (sorcerer) relies on your opponent to trigger.

As for why, its my way to say "This is how pantheism should have been made" (with the rstrictions)
