Call can ditch Dragon Buster Blade/Tuning Magician/Glow-Up)>Pendulum Summon BB, Synchro into Buster Dragon>SS BB in your Grave via Buster Dragon eff From there you can branch off into: >If you have Whelp in your Grave and you have a Fusion in hand, ditch it and Special it and summon Whelp back to Synch into another Dragon>Tuning Magician and Glow-Up are also options Tuning into Abyss is also a great option once you run out of materials if you are left with Abyss and BB. Dealing damage with Abyss summons back a Tuner from your Grave so you can summon another Buster Dragon. It gets better during your opp's turn, if you have Dragon Buster Blade, Dragon can equip to BB to shut down Extra Deck Summons. And during next turn, if BB still lives, Dragon Buster can summon itself as a tuner while equipped and loop the process again. From there additional Synchro Summons like Omega or Xyzs like Felgrand can occur. And this is not even including other potential with the Pendulum Magicians as well, if you summon them. Because of these combos, I think the new BB support is far stronger than BLS, due to being more supported by a consistent and meta engine and can displace more power and combo ability rather than wasting and minusing hard into summoning a non-floatable glass cannon. Though BB has a lot of glaring flaws like its other nostalgia archetype reboots. If you don't open with a good scale, you're screwed since the BBs do nothing in your hand and clog. Often times you'll have a hard time trying maintain consistency and making a good setup if all you can do is Whelp NS or use Call and work off your Pendulums. Additionally, you'll have a hard time in resource management if you -1 repeatedly and cannot muster a stronger field as an end result. Nevertheless, this is a very powerful deck that is cheap and of my favorites of the archetype reboots so far. If anyone has suggestions, particularly to improve the consistency of this deck, please do say.
IQuitDolphin
I feel as though your Magician lineup is too geared for a typical Magician build rather than a BB build. Oafdragon, though its effect is strong, is a Level 6, so it doesn't help create any Rank 7 or Synchro for 8 plays. Ideally, Xiangke should be run at 3 due to it's level. Dragonpulse is mostly useless since you will most likely never need to use its effect, and its scale is redundant. Wavering Eyes is good, but I don't think the deck has enough consistency drawing scales to make it live very often. I would prefer Sky Iris, as it also gives you a Level 7 beatstick for Rank 7 and Synchro for 8, and gives you a Scale 4 for less effort. It's also a dragon for the Fusion. Odd-Eyes Fusion is also an option. Maxx "C" feels best sided. Try shifting to more of an Xyz playstyle. Buster Dragon should be easy to summon, so dedicating your entire deck to bring him out can lead to inconsistency, as I notice a lot of Normal Summons and Engines that can lead to weird hands. Thanks for the advice. I first experimented with a basic Magician engine, and I've added more Xiangke/Destruction Magicians, as well as Odd-Eyes. Through testing, it's been a great breakthrough it making the deck more consistent since the Odd-Eyes are Synch/Xyz fodder and work well with Iris and the Fusion. It works much much better now. Wavering Eyes was originally a way to + in case I faced Pepe or Magicians, but I didn't like it that much. It was only there for that reason and I had no other better cards to place. Oaf is still good as a low scale and works with Wisdom to add back itself to hand for fodder. Everything now works much better, thanks~
