Lore: If this card is in your Graveyard: You can place 1 card from your hand on the top of the Deck; Special Summon this card, but banish it when it leaves the field.

 

Arguably one of the best generic-ish Tuners in the game at the moment. It has a self-summon effect, so that's already a plus, and it also gets a lot of support from being both Zombie and DARK. So there's quite a few ways to get this thing in the Grave, and to set up for Synchro plays.

 

Of course, it's not my favorite Tuner, since that honor goes to Yuki Usagi, but that's a story for another time.

I'm still surprised this card was limit-worthy at some point. I remember why, it was no doubt another age.

Nowadays it is ultimately a -1, because it is a +0 revival and Synchro Summoning with it is pretty much a natural -1. That just doesn't cut it outside of being able to use its stacking effect at the same time, and it could probably use something similar to an Emergency Telepor-like effect nowadays....

Otherwise, I personally deem Uni-Zombie the better Zombie-Type Tuner out there and really the only one that is needed. The Shiranui Tuner was a bit short from what it needed to be (and I still haven't seen one pulled at my locals after watching a few boxes being opened for some reason).

 

As for Pain Painter... pff... haha... I guess it works for those obscure Zombie Synchros better than the rest so there's that.

It works very nicely in Burgesstoma as you can use it + Quillbolt Hedgeheg for additional Rank 2 fodder. The deck-stacking can also be useful with Anomalocaris and Back Jack.
