If I don't like Frogadier, I can always evolve it.

Sharkpedo's cool.

I didn't know rocks could be so sassy.

I know Mothim sucks, but I can tolerate Mothim.

Darkrai is ALWAYS welcome.

Snorlax: I'mma eat you, jabroni!

*phew*

I was expecting an overabundance of Generation 1 Pocket Monsters.

I'm actually not really a fan of the Grass Type as a whole: in terms of members of that Type I genuinely like, we have:

1. The Cradily line

2. The Sceptile line

3. The Breloom line

4. The Venusaur line

5. The Cacturne line

6. Ludicolo

7. Phantump

8. Exeggutor

Hey! You're actually taking whole lines into consideration (unlike other people).

There are several occasions where I pick out a particular member of a line (for example, while I really like Dratini, I think Dragonair's stats are awkward, and I dislike Dragonite on principle- it looks literally nothing like the rest of its line. I have the same issue regarding Bellossom, even though I don't like that line at all), but most of the time I will like or dislike an entire line.

My favorite Types, in order from most to least:

1. Dragon. Duh.

2. Dark. I will even look favorably upon lesser Types if they are part Dark. That said, there are a notable number of Dark-Types I'm not a fan of.

3. Steel. Partially because my first Pokemon game was Gen 3, which established that Steel = Awesome.

4. Fire. .|^ Burn, baby, burn! .|^

5. Psychic. I always always ALWAYS have a Psychic-Type on my team. No exceptions. However, there are a few bad eggs . . . *cough* lame pun *cough*

6. Ghost. With only five exceptions, I generally like Ghosts.

7. Water. It's hard not to find likable Water-Types. Every Gen has at least 1 that I liked, to my knowledge. Also, the Type equivalent of chocolate- it goes well with everything.

8. Flying. I COULDN'T HEAR YOU OVER THE SOUND OF MY SWEET WINGS

9. Electric. Nothing, and I mean nothing, is more satisfying in a game of Pokemon to successfully land a Thunder (the lowest accuracy move I have ever run, and I never intend to go lower).

10. Normal. I'm not sure why, but quite a few Normal Types just . . . call to me.

11. Ground. Great Type, but sadly often on Pokemon I'm not much a fan of. However, there are a few Ground-Types I will abide, and then I legitimately like Quagsire, Swampert, Graveler, and the Claydol line.

12. Fairy. Pretty meh thus far overall, only sneaking its way onto Mons I already knew (some of which I like), and brand-new Fairy Types come down to ridiculous or Xerneas.

13. Fighting. Don't get me wrong, I don't dislike the Type as a whole, but most of its Mons are just . . . meh. The moves it provides are awesome, though- I have yet to run a Charizard that doesn't have Brick Break for coverage.

14. Poison. Here we get to where ones I like is the exception, not the rule. I've trained a Crobat personally, Venusaur's line appeals to me, and . . . there are some good moves here, I guess? The only reason it's THIS high is because Chuggaaconroy has shown me how effective a Weezing can be, and because it has a status ailment to itself.

15. Rock. The moves are inaccurate, most of the Pokemon have designs that are misleadingly cool. Still, Tyrantrum's line, Cradily's line, Golem's line, and Tyranitar have proven that the Type isn't terrible. Got a boost in my eyes because Sandstorm.

16. Grass. AAARGH. Just . . . I WANT to like the Type, but so much of it is piddling disappointment. Still, a few good Pokemon, and the majority of draining moves.

17. Ice. I've run a Jynx exactly once, and it was decently good. Every other Ice-Type I've raised felt more like a slog than an enjoyable experience. Sorry, Ice lovers, but . . . no.

I don't actually have an opinion of Bug, having never raised one seriously- they are generally switch-leveled (or backparty-leveled, in Gen 6) when I'm Pokedex-completing.
