But you can deny those complaints by comparing it to now. Right now, we actually have a small problem.

Seriously, Why? There is no reason for any mod to be "Hidden" to the general public, especially during a time in which the forum is not running PERFECTLY smoothly, it makes no difference whether or not said mods are known about, all it does is lead me to believe that these "Hidden Mods" do not actually exist. (unless someone else who knows confirms, I will deny the existence of these mods)

I do not see any silent or hidden moderators running around the forums. I just see the REAL mods locking and fixing the problems with people and their threads. Either way, we need more moderators like anomu13 had suggested.

 

Tkill cannot do much on his own. We need another super moderator or two since the others have left us.

I know what he's talking about. Secondary user groups. They're wonderful little beasties that let you give people more power than they appear to have, but it's really discomforting to members once they figure out they exist.

Fair, but I think it is our right as members to know where these Mods that I cannot see moderate (not who they are), so that the public knows how much of this problem that is spoken of does not exist. If you don't find this claim unreasonable, I would like to know where these mods are moderating. (that way, I can get off people's cases about the lack of moderation)

Fair, but I think it is our right as members to know where these Mods that I cannot see moderate (not who they are), so that the public knows how much of this problem that is spoken of does not exist. If you don't find this claim unreasonable, I would like to know where these mods are moderating. (that way, I can get off people's cases about the lack of moderation)

Your concern should not be with the number of moderators, but with the condition of the forum. If you notice a lot of topics/posts that should be locked/deleted, or other such issues not being done so in a timely manner, then yes, there is cause for concern. Personally I have not noticed an excess amount of this in any part of the forum. There is a difference between a user who is new to the forum and unsure of the way things work, and a person intends to cause trouble and create spam.

Letting someone go because they're new is a bad excuse. The rules are in both general and the news, and they SHOULD be in every forum. I can see if it's their first post, but otherwise, no.

Also, DANILUS was the one who "shut down" Card Trade due to it being neglected. It was neglected because no one moderated it, which is what we'd asked for for a long time. YCMaker just locked the forum to stop spamming.

If getting new moderators was as simple as just getting new moderators' date=' the forum would have 200+ moderators right now.

 

It's not that YCMaker doesn't want new moderators, or that he doesn't know we need them, or that he isn't trying to get them, it's that it's EXTREMELY difficult to find good moderators, especially on a forum with this age-range where many of the members are not very mature. You can make all the suggestions you want, but ultimately, if he doesn't see any fit candidates then he can't just make untrustworthy people mods.

 

For those of you who are wondering, [b']the ideal moderator would be someone who doesn't get involved in arguments[/b], isn't concerned with proving themselves or their supremacy, and has a good grasp of what their role is as a moderator. Some of the candidates I've seen thrown out there and supported absolutely do not fit that mold.

When Dan and Frunk worked together it was great. Then we started growing. Nothing was done. No mods were picked. Dan got fed up and left. So more people, and less mods. After a stint of chaos. New mods were picked. We continued growing Frunk, being the mod leader got fed up and left. We had no super mods. Dan appeared because a few caring people HUNTED him down. We got new supers. Dan left again. Now we have TSL and Tkill. I don't see God Kaze do squat. maybe he does, but I don't see it. I talked to Tkill. HE'S GETTING FED UP!

Then we'll be down to TSL. He's great, but it's not a one man job.

Sorry, but, that's kind of the point, is it not? They need attention so they can control the forum and be just another person that can be turned to when a problem occurs. Especially considering there are not enough moderators here as it is.
