DeskbotBase-SHVI-JP-OP.png

All "Deskbot" monsters on the field gain 500 ATK and DEF. Once per turn: You can reveal any number of "Deskbot" cards in your hand and shuffle them into the Deck, then draw cards equal to the number of cards you shuffled into the Deck. You can banish 9 "Deskbot" cards with different names from your side of the field and/or Graveyard, except "Deskbot Base"; shuffle all cards from your opponent's hand, field, and Graveyard into the Deck.

I feel like they missed the mark a bit on this. The continuous ATK gain prevents Machine Dupe abuse which is the whole thing of the deck, but the 2nd effect encourages it by shuffling extra copies back into your deck to help dig for the Dupes. They should've made the ATK gain some sort of activated effect, or have some sort of condition for it to kick in. Like, while you control 3 Deskbots or something.

The Last effect is definitely hilarious though. Makes me wonder if we're gonna get more S/T or 009, or if this is the last Deskbot support we're getting.

Holy. Frickin. Sheeeet.

The only bad thing is you'll have to banish the Pendulums from your side of the field, since they can't hit the Gra- You can banish them when they're in the Pend Zones.

004 can force them into the grave, just saying.

Or, y'know, do your machine dupe shenanigans before activating this.

You missed the second part. To reiterate, The second effect encourages more Machine Dupeing, since it shuffles back copies of stuff dead in your hand, and also helps dig for it. The two effects conflict, in terms of Machine Dupe.

The only way to remedy that is to Run something to destroy it like Double Cyclone for some ungodly reason, or run 2 different Field Spells.

You could also set this card over an already active one to remove the boost.

If you mean the shuffle into draw, I'm afraid it won't work since that's 1 whole effect. However on the banishing 9 you certainly can do it.

OT: well this is something. A mass shuffle at the hefty price of 9.

That's what I mean, the ability to banish 9 isn't easy, so chaining MST on that would be devestating

I was just about to think of a way to completely break that last effect for no reason until I saw "with different names".

Plus 005-008 are pendulums anyway so how the hell are you going to consistently drop them in the grave besides 004? I dunno it all seems really stupid. Like I WANT to use it for the added consistency, but now I have to use Inferno Reckless Summon instead of machine derp...

Or we you can try dropping Machine Dupe in favor of something like Inferno Reckless; not like Special Summoning your own monsters is hard to come by in the archetype, and from my experience giving your opponent the extra summons actually has not really backfired that much. It's especially easy since you can SS stuff from the Extra Deck and the conditions for the spell are still fulfilled when your opponent only controls ED monsters.

Geartown died because activating/setting another field now sends the old one instead of destroying it.

Aaaah, alright. I knew Geartown Died when that rule came out, but I didn't remember why.

Machine dupe for life  I'm not a Deskbot Expert so I'll trust you and others with this, but It always looked to me that Machine Dupe was the Heart and Soul of the deck. I'm guessing that 1 or 2 will still be played, at least. Maybe.

Machine Dupe is still going to be in the deck... You use it before you activate this, it isnt hard to figure out.

As it is I wouldnt run Terraforming for this, and might even just run 2 of this. As was mentioned the ATK gain is negligible, and generally a hand full of Deskbots is a great hand to have.
