Toffee.
Well my question is, now that Red Eyes is an archetype, why not simply make Black Chick a Red Eyes monster? More Invasive errata's have been done afterall? And how Elemtnal Hero became Elemental HERO? Since, you know, the word "hero" is totally different now that it's in full caps. Hero of the East? The funk is that card? Never heard of it :^) My Ocd largely disagrees with you on that regard. You know what all this is indicative of? Early YGO creators thought that the game had no future, they didn't plan anything. It was a short run buck making scheme. That's why 80% of the banlist is from that era, and why all these stupid logic holes are from that era. They didn't know what they were doing, and largely didn't give a f*** eitherI'm betting this is partially because Ygo's TCG overshadowing Pokemon's at the time, and they just assumed Ygo would follow the same pattern of newer TCG's that are made would subsequently replace an existing one. Ironically, this worked backwords, since this was how Duelmasters died; Ygo was just too strong. Pokemon's TCG was only overshadowed because the anime and the handheld games are more important, rather then the cards, while cards are what Ygo is literally all about. Now this became more an slap in the face later on since as we got more TCG based series(Cardfight, for example), they would almost instantly be overshadowed by Ygo, but this is mainly because the US held onto it more/longer/it had much more time to grow it's popularity/etc. Japan, however, every TCG still exists in somewhat of an equal harmony. ... Magic the Gathering, despite being the largest TCG, has more of a teen/adult following. Ygo has more kid-appeal and it ends up forming more of a lifelong following on players who wish to keep up with the series. At least, that's the way I see it. Azuh
What I don't really understand is that why Konami stopped changing TCG names in cards. The last change was Sky Scout (originally Harpies Brother). And it would be nice if they decided to change Red-Eyes B. Chick into Black Dragon Hatchling
