Madolche Support (anti-meta)

Recommended Posts

Hey, it's me again. I'm sorry to bother everyone, but I'd like some help making an anti-meta Madolche deck. I really like those cards and I'd like to find a way for them to fight back. I dueled against the Battlin' Boxers AI in YGO pro, and they work well, but against blackwings, not enough room for planning with their anti-meta game. So, any suggestions, please?

As far as I am aware Madolche's need special summons and their stuff hitting the grave and that so they can't use the main so-called anti-meta cards like Lose 1 Turn, Skill Drain, Macro Cosmos, Dimensional Fissure and the like. Really they seem totally at odds with all the cards I'd regard as anti-meta.

Well, I'm not looking for archetype specific cards, I'm looking for cards that can support madolches and fight back metta and anti-meta.

Madolche Nights and Solemn Notice. And even then, you need a good set-up beforehand. Otherwise, it doesn't work. And when it does work, keeping them all on the field can be a hassle (depending what you play against).

If you want to play madolche anti-meta, main deck 3 anti-spell fragrance. The deck only activates 3-4 spell/trap cards period, meaning most of your combos will come from monsters. Furthermore, the spell cards they activate will be activated all at once rather than each turn, so ASF will help you keep up with Odd-Eyes Magicians, Mages & Pals, Specters, etc.

Speedroid Madolche is the best way to go by far. While Magileine is painfully slow, Tiaramisu is still the best removal monster in the game, basically barring nothing (like...literally nothing). I don't know how many times I've had to say "Tiaramisu doesn't target on field."

Bad players.

Anyway, usually Terrortop > Taketomborg > Anjelly to make Tiara, Leviair, and Chanbara is the 2-card OTK at 8300 damage on board, which is very weak for an OTK but better than none at all. All in all, not very anti meta.

If you wanted to play anti-meta, you can just run E-telly > Re-cover > Nat Beast/Barkion. If that's not consistent enough, play Madolche T.G. (which is also very slow with the new stuff coming out). I topped locals recently with Madolche Mages–don't play it, it's easily the least consistent build–because of ASF. It's win condition against Odd-Eyes Magicians (except the Specter variant, but it still hurts them a lot). If that doesn't do it for you, then just side 3 Pendulum Shift.

Kozmos aren't exactly a problem to be honest, but if you have trouble with them, side a few Ghost Ogres, probably run Armades, and get good with timing Chanbara.

Imperial Iron Wall helps too.

I hope this helps.

Anti-Spell Fragrance in Madolche where 2 of the central cards are Ticket and Chateau seems a terrible idea. Can we not just conclude that a deck reliant on special summoning and graveyard usage can't anti-meta?

So running spells means you can't play ASF? I've used them to amazing effect. You activate ticket/chateau before you activate ASF. By your logic, we shouldn't be able to play it in Pendulum, but some people actually main deck it to win the mirror.

I play 2 Ticket 1 chateau. They are both recyclable and only one is needed for the OTK, which is mostly completed without it anyway.

Trust me, it hurts them way more than it hurts you.
