Dark Advance is a better escalation, Utopia has nutty plays with Clown and Shadow Mist

It only hits face-up Spells that activate.

 

So this hits Monkeyboard and such, but not normal spells and such, so still good, but not as good as it looks.

Damn, you're right, crippling the Turtle Draw Engine is still solid, but I was thinking BEWD got a duster out.

 

Yeh, good, but not broken.

 

Angmar might make Tele-DAD work again? Cause searching E-tele?

 

Other monarch support is nice too.

 

It's not a bad set IMO still, still worlds up from the trash that was DOL2

 

 

Edit: wait a minute, call me silly, but can't Zombiestein negate normal spells? And that only negates face up cards, if it's face up, it must be on the field. So Harbinger should still be able to negate say Reborn?

zombie stein targets any card that's face-up on the field and negates it.

 

this merely triggers in response to an activation and negates/eats it.

 

Not the same thing, this is like Yuki Usagi.

No.37 is kind of meh, but it's a Rank 4 WATER that needs WATER Mats, and the second effect is still solid.

 

No.38 is awesome, at least as an anti-Pendulum card, and the force-attack effect is...well, pointless. It's the third effect that amuses me.

 

No.35 is...WTF? It gains ATK based on difference in LP. It burns the opponent. And it kills stuff with less ATK than it. It's a Rank 10, but still, it's kind of a cool monster.

 

No.84 looks like the inverse of 35 at a glance. And we know these things are going to support 77.

 

Harmony of King's Soul looks pretty neat, if conditional.

 

I'm mostly just glad that the Numbers are at least half-decent.

This card looks really cool. I mean, it bridges the gap and lets every S/T-search-only phantom knight(silent bootss) be able to swarm instead of disrupt if needed for extra material for an OTK or such.

Shade Brigandine I cast you out of Phantom Knights ... but seriously this card is just an insult to Phantom Knights.

Tomb Shield is a rank 4 material and a breakthrough skill for traps (grave effect) during one's own turn ... seems alright, I guess I will add add it to my Phantom Knight deck ... or at least try it.

This set was honestly quite dissapointing for Phantom Knights, even though they got 2 cards and all cards were at least somehow good ... seriously ... not even a grave effect for shade brigandine ... shame on you.

It's easy enough to summon, has great stats, and can be used defensively or proactively as well, so why not?

Also, IDK what numbers TCG has it at, but Wind-Up in OCG could have a nice little boost from this with Double Sharking.

 

That floating ability could Grab Magician and start the s*** show all over. Been wanting to make TG-Wind Ups, maybe I'll finally get to it now.

 

Nekroz could, but idk why you'd give up the best card in the deck for it.

 

Ice Hand is an option. Lotsa fun combos, most meta relevant in TCG would ofc be Nepty atlanteans tho

Ravenous Tarantula is ridiculous, definitely the card I'm most hyped for in the set. Pain Gainer isn't as good, but it isn't horrible either.

 

I see somepotential in Shining Hope Road (instant Lightning) and Tsukumo Slash (shame it doesn't work on your own attacks).

 

More S/T in this set than usual. I blame Phantom Knights.
