-kyo-
normal spellTribute 1 monster. Select either its ATK or DEF and gain that many Life Points, then add 1 monster with the same name as the Tributed monster from your Deck to your hand. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Soul_Guide could you use this with harpies and maybe buster blader?please discuss

IQuitDolphin
"harpies and buster blader" wut. ---- Yeah, Hieratics seem to be the way to go with this, since they can gain so much advantage off of tributing themselves. Getting another Tefnuit and Su while getting a chunk of LP is pretty cool.
goodfusion
It seems like a cross between Generation Shift and Mystic Wok. Being a Normal Spell does mean you can't chain it stuff, but it does make it faster than if it were a Trap. I guess it would be best in decks that get off effects when Tributed, such as the aforementioned Hieratics.

IQuitDolphin
Well, searching a Harpie doesn't do much since most of them are better on the field than in the hand. Simply searching them out just makes them rot in the hand for a turn and hardly advances the goal of the deck. Buster Blader is just a weird example.
