(GigaDrillBreaker)
It's why I said not to make premature assumptions when we don't know a single thing about the archetype it will be a part of. Yeah, that's why people are judging based on this card rather than the support we have seen nothing of.Indeed there's no way powerhungry konami as is would make such a blatantly underpowered card that's from a potentially new archetype without reason IMO. I feel like the potential materials will get effects that trigger when they are detached from Insect-Type Xyz monsters, which would explain the heavy cost to rank up for such little payoff. In that concept they might play similar to Raid Raptors in the sense that they are super focused on stacking Xyz for days to trigger their more powerful effects. But that's just my prediction. For all we know this is just one of those cards that's so bad people think that their must be some higher use for it that we are just to dumb to see, which they like to do from time to time.Or, hear me out... It is pack filler.

BlackBeartic
I want a digital bug archetype now. Hopefully they are better than this tho.
Azuh
While Aroma, Greydle and Shiranui aren't the best archetypes, they're still pretty cool and I am looking forward to what the rest of the Digital Bugs are.I agree, these archetypes have given some of the types which has it received much recently some love. The problem is with these archetypes is that Konami abandons them after 1 set which is lame. Some archetypes cannot function with just 6-8 cards. I see potential, but I wouldn't go that far. It really is sad when archetypes like this are abandoned while stuff like Burning Abyss continues. Lee Cheng Men
A new archetype huh? I think it's strategies focus on destroying Defense monsters.
(GigaDrillBreaker)
Well, yeah; priorities. There are two separate markets for YGO. Competitive, which thrives on things remaining the same (meaning support over time creates gradual change in the metagame) and Casual, where there really is very little need for a constant standard. Would you prefer they give more support to an archetype that is weak by design, or come out with something else new to mess around with?
Toffee.
Here's a silly thought- We get Insects that do stuff when detached as Materials, and can make Rank 5/6/7 monsters in a manner that isn't painfully gimmicky.
