Entermate Odd-Eyes Unicorn / Performapal Odd-Eyes Unicorn

Level 1 LIGHT Beast-Type Pendulum Effect Monster

ATK 100

DEF 600

Pendulum Scale 8

Pendulum Effect:

(1) When an “Odd-Eyes” monster you control declares an attack: You can target 1 “Performapal” monster you control, excep that attacking monster; that attacking monster gains ATK equal to that target’s original ATK until the end of the Battle Phase.

Monster Effect:

(1) When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can target 1 “Performapal” monster in your Graveyard; gain LP equal to that monster’s ATK.

Sky Iris searches an unrestricted 8 scale whoooo

This on scale. An Odd-eyes pendulum + Fire Muffleo. Does that even work for the second attack, can Unicorn's boost effect be used twice for the same monster? (sounds ridic)

it can, but you won't be running muffleo because it's overkill and meh

More notably

Odd-Eyes + Sorc + Silver Claw is 21 + 18 + 43, barring any monsters... which odd-eyes snipes

it does a lot for very little setup, especially with iris

i don't get the "too far" or "Odd-Eyes OP" comments

this is a GOOD CARD... that's it

It's not broken, it's not weak, it's good. It has some stupidly strong interactions with Odd-Eyes, but it's not like those don't exist anyways.

And sure, it lets you punch a Dark Destroyer for 2600 damage, in some cases, with another Ppal OE on the way... But that doesn't mean this is any sort of too far.

Joker has a reasonably restricted high scale. This has synergy with Sky Iris, but doesn't stand as a monster. It's just a pendulum spell with a situational NS effect. It was nerfed from the anime, where the Pendulum effect is the same, just worded differently for IRL to make sense.

tl;dr

Good card? Yes, maybe not now, but yes.

Broken or too far? not at all.

Aren't PP also getting a structure deck in the future?

starter deck

quality of cards is likely to be low

Scale 8 is nice since Monkey Beatrice is live

What about Dragonpit, or does him being a normal monster count as him having "strings attached?

The fact that this is a Performapal with a Scale 8, it can now be used to create more insane plays with higher level PS'es, since Joker doesn't have to waste a Scale slot, and Unicorn is super searchable with Sky Iris support and a bajillion other Performapal searchers. Magicians just didn't synch well with the newer Pals.

Well yeah, but that wasn't what I was asking. I was asking about his statement about "It was a matter of time for us to get an 8 Scale with no strings attached to it.", and whether or not Dragonpit fitted his description. I'm aware that Magicians don't fit well with Performapals, and the advantages this card has.

There are still minus drawbacks to Scale 8 monsters.

Like how this is a Level 1 so it most likely won't be back once it gets removed from the Pendulum Scale, and Dragonpit is a vanilla, and I mean it also for its Pendulum effect if it is attempted for generic use rather than the intended deck.

That said, it is definitely worth it.

Then it just means that without other consequences for making it Scale 8, Performapals can just freely search it with possibly Wizard or Monkeyboard and set it in the Scale and PS like normal, only now if opportunities to summon more monsters than before.
