This is a The Takanaba Incident: a well-intended scientific breakthrough taken too far and, through human error and pride, a catastrophic event. Named after the eponymous professor, Fumio Takanaba, a scientific endeavor to eliminate cancer and countless other diseases through the use of hyper-engineered Viruses had taken place at the Neo Tokyo University, in the colony city of Neo Tokyo naturally. These viruses had been mutated and effectively programmed by the good professor to invade and destroy cancerous and otherwise diseased cells in a sort of kamikaze-strike. The viruses expend what energy they needed to sustain themselves to destroy the hostile cells, self-destructing in the process. When the ordeal was over, the patient was effectively cured of cancer, after a day or two of being sick. However, due the impatience and lack of careful checking, a few minor errors destroyed the project. The experiment failed, and the entire lab was turned into a bio-hazard. Due to the necessity for a small amount of plutonium needed for the product to be successful, and inconsistencies in the formula, the lab was turned into a radioactive wasteland. The plutonium reacted poorly with the mixture, changing its state of matter to a gas. The volatile substance reacted poorly with other radioactive elements being illegally stored in the lab, creating the most toxic air the world had seen, since Chernobyl back in the ancient days. The radiation than began to leak into the city, before it was contained. Instead of fighting off cancerous cells, it began to create them. Cancer rates in Neo Tokyo sky rocketed, creating the opposite of the intended effect. As for the people there, very few survived. After a few days, those who had been near the event suffered "CSS" or "Cell Suicide Syndrome." Their bodily cells began to kill themselves off at a rapid rate, with no known cure. Far and few between were the survivors, and unlike the unfortunate victims of "CSS," they had a different reaction. Their cells began to undergo mutation, through a painful process known as "CMS" or cell mutation syndrome. This process caused the body so much excruciating pain, the patients would suffer months, slipping in and out of consciousness as their cells underwent a metamorphosis. 

 

Survivors of these events were changes, physically and mentally. Their bodies were morphed, usually enlarging. Their cells also obtained a 'meta gene,' for lack of better terms. Survivors of the Takanaba incident were given unique powers, unknown to most of the world. Recently, the victims of this incident have began to show themselves, be it good or evil.

Rules:

1. All applicable YCM rules (especially the Advanced Clause) apply.

2. Don't be a jerk face, especially when criticizing other apps.

3. This RP will be fast paced. There is a posting limit of 7 days. If no post is made in 5 days, we will take control of your character from you and use them to see fit. However, the real world is limiting. If you cannot meet the post requirement due to an event that comes up, notify either Kyng or myself via PM, and accommodations will be made. Failure to notify us will result in the loss of a spot in this RP.

4. Kyng and I are the owners of this, and as such, we reserve the right to take control of your character if we deem it necessary for any reason.

5. There will be limited acceptance into this RP, and as a result there will be competition between you and other members for spots. You may ask for criticism from us, or the criticism thread (Where I am a judge), but official acceptance will not be issued until a later date, depending on the speed apps get to us.

Neo Tokyo is a floating city, in the year 20XX. Humans have many sky colonies, the biggest being Neo Tokyo. The world below is slowly dying out, and more and more sky colonies have started surfacing. There are teleporters all around the city, and after paying for their surface, they transport the people between colonies. Long distance travels require you to stop at teleporters along the way. There are also teleporters to the ground world.

 

Neo Tokyo is twice as large as the ground Tokyo, and has many large buildings. The night is usually illuminated by the many neon lights on the multitude of buildings. However, certain areas are uninhabited. The large zone that was once the Takanaba lab is now a barren wasteland, and has large amounts of radiation from it. There are also many protected forests, that are vast and dense. They provide the oxygen for the artificial atmosphere that surrounds Neo Tokyo.

Alice stands at an amazonian 5’8. Her blonde hair falls back to her legs, and is usually tied in a ponytail that runs down the the middle of her back. Her attire is a thin pink leotard with thin gloves. She has a set of pink boots that go up to her knees, and pink thigh highs. She wears a light pink mask across the lower half of her face. Usually only her dazzling blue eyes are revealed. When using her psychic powers, her change from blue to light pink.

 

Her build was that of a ballerina, or dancer, graceful, lithe. She was very lean and slender, quite needed for the agility such a pursuit would require. However, the radiation exposure caused a significant amount of hormonal change, resulting in her developing larger breasts, thighs, and a larger buttocks. When not in her outfit, Alice usually wears a pink tanktop and a knee length skirt. Even though she is tall for women's standards, she still wears high heels, giving her an extra 2 inches. She is so accustomed to walking in them, she can even run in them. Walking is natural for her while she wears heels. Her long hair is again, usually in a ponytail when not in outfit. Alice has two pink fans, made of reinforced steel.

Personality:[spoiler=show] Alice is bubbly, flirty, and exuberant. She is very outgoing, and compassionate. She is also highly intelligent, being a college graduate at only 17. However, she tends to be a bit shallow. She has a habit for gossiping and spreading rumors, along with starting minor drama. She is very flirty, but has never been in a serious relationship. She also still holds her virginity, leading many to believe she is just a tease.

 

Alice is similar in combat. Usually she is not one to be getting her hands dirty, but the rare times she does fight, she is infuriating. She taunts her opponents, laughs at them, and even dances around in combat. She puts on a big show of irritating them, usually to distract from how inadequate she is at close quarters combat. She is smart enough to recognize her own flaws, and to find inaccuracies in the enemy's fighting. She is quick to improvise and always seems to have a battle plan. When working with allies, Alice is one of the best partners. She knows all of her allies strengths and weaknesses, and does her best to play to them.

 

Biography: [spoiler=show]Alice was born into a rich family. She  was an only child, and a very lonely one. Her parents were very strict, and she had no friends. They lived alone, in a nice mansion. Both her parents were lab workers, and highly successful ones at that. They created the very first flying car, and sold the invention for billions. Wakahisa became a household name. However, they were both overprotective and paranoid. Alice was not allowed to have friends over, in fear they would steal, or they were just using her. They homeschooled her up until high school. While other kids played, she remained in her lavash room, reading literature. By third grade, she was reading Shakespeare. Her homeschooling was incredibly successful. When she was 10, she was studying dystopian literature at her homeschool. Soon enough, her parents ran out of material to teach. She was only 15, but she was ready for college.

 

Alice’s parents bought her into the nicest college money could get. She majored in Pharmaceutical Chemistry, and minored in Psychology. The 15 year old girl excelled in school, but this new found freedom changed her. She went from a lonely, silent shut in child, to an attention seeking tease. She wanted to be the center of attention. Due to her lack of friends as a child, she was making it up now. More Often than not, people ended up disliking her. She was a 16 year old smarter than some of the professors, and had an annoying habit of correcting them when they were wrong. She also had a great deal of boyfriends in 2 years, but none of them lasting, as she turned down any advances every time. She still made some real friends though, enough to keep her going by. She graduated at 17, and immediately got an internship. A bright scientist named Fumio Takanaba had heard of her, and given her an internship at his lab. Despite being an intern, she was one of the best scientists they had.

 

A year passed, and Fumio began working on a medicine that would save the lives of millions. He had found a solution that fought cancer, increasing the lifespan of those with it by 20 years. He didn’t stop there though. He spent a long time working on this cure, staying up countless nights doing equations, until he had formulated a cure for the disease. He showed his work to everyone in the lab, saying all he needed was a bit of Plutonium and Uranium to finish it. Alice checked his math and found 5 inconsistencies, but he didn’t listen to her. What did the 18 year old girl know? There was no way she could disprove his yearlong study in a few minutes. After a loud argument, he finally ‘gave in’ and terminated the mission. He and Alice stopped talking altogether. However, behind her back he continued to work on the project.

 

Alice was still in the lab when something went wrong. She heard the radiation warnings go off in the lab. The scientists fled, but Alice knew what happened. She put on a radiation suit from the back and ran to Fumio’s private lab. Inside it she saw what had happened. The plutonium reacted poorly to the mix. Rather than dissolving in, it turned his entire brew into a noxious gas. The gas reacted further with the uranium, creating a very toxic environment. The entire lab was going to become a mix of radioactive gas, and become a major hazard. She heard sirens in the distance, and realized she needed to go. Her suit would not protect her from this mix. However, she couldn’t leave the unconscious man on the floor. She lifted him and slowly evacuated the toxic building. When she finally got out, she passed out. She spent months drifting in and out of consciousness. There was supposedly a leak into the city, and cancer numbers had risen. Alice finally recovered, she felt different. She always had a migraine, and she heard voices in her head. At first, she thought she was going crazy. Eventually, she realized the voices were the thoughts of the patients and doctors all around her. Unable to cope with constant voices in her head, she isolated herself for another year, with Iwao Iwayama, who was going through a similar metamorphosis. Pooling together money, the two bought an apartment.  She spent her time learning how to harness this new ability, turning telepathy on and off. She also figured out she could medium size and weight objects, as well as create Force Fields. In her time spent with the self proclaimed Quake, she wasn’t sure what to think of him. The two were polar opposites, and she could read his thoughts. But as time went on, the slowly grew accustomed to each other. He and Alice formed a budding relationship.

 

Realizing she could help people, Alice immediately started doing just that. She started with petty crime, wearing a pink banana over her mouth, and her ballet outfit. However, she made adjustments since. She stitches her own light pink face-mask, and crafted her own outfit. She quickly formed a name for herself: Esper.

Powers: [spoiler=show]Alice fights with psychic powers. She can move objects with telekinesis, she can read minds, and she can create force fields and use them as an invisible walls/platform. She can only pick up people if they don’t resist, and she can’t pick up anything heavier than a minivan.

 

Alice also has superhuman capabilities. Her speed, agility, endurance, and strength have all been enhanced as a result of the radiation. She can also jump higher, swim faster, and hold her breath longer than the average human.

 

Fighting Style: Alice fights from afar, and usually in a supportive style. She wields two fans that she uses in combat, throwing them, then shifting their trajectory as they fly to their intended target, then bringing them back. The fans really pack a wallop. When up close, they are her go to form of defense, be it using them in hand to hand, or having them orbit her like a barrier.

 

Aside from using the fans, Alice creates invisible walls to protect her allies, or cut off a fleeing villain. These walls function similarly to a forcefield, but break if the attack is too much to block. She creates them to keep enemies away, or to create platforms in air for her allies to land on.

 

Alice also mentally coaches her allies, giving them insights from her observations. Alternatively, she will get into the enemy's head and mess with them. She can also do this to predict attacks before they come. However, if an enemy catches on to her, they can force her out by overpowering her will, or better yet give false information to her.

Equipment:[spoiler=show]

Shock and Awe: Alice wields two iron war fans, them being her primary form of defense and offense. Despite not being bladed, they still hurt like hell.

 

Smoke pellets: Alice carrys a few smoke pellets with her. They are concealed in a hidden compartment on the side of her boots. One small pill creates a 15 foot radius of sulfur smelling smoke. It lasts for a good 5 minutes before dissipating. The smoke cover is very easy for her to manipulate with her telepathy. She can conceal many allies in smoke, or have it condense around an enemy, rendering them blinded by it. She carries 4 of these pellets, and restocks them each night.

Iwao stands at 6’1” with short, scruffy chestnut brown hair that frames his sharp yet round face. A fierce set of green eyes with a pair of strong brows, along with a sharp and short nose helps to altogether give him quite a stern and serious expression. His head is set on a broad and strong set of shoulders that go to show a very strong and muscular frame. Much of his body is heavily muscled, yet lean and refined.

 

When not on the job, per say, he is found wearing slacks and casual wear. He disdains wearing tight clothing, opting for baggy shirts, jeans, and even suits, as he enjoys comfort over much else. His battle gear consists of a combat uniform, with a rigid steel-carbon armoured upper body and crotch-guard, with a matching pair of gauntlets and knee pads, while wearing a polyester battle-dress bodysuit underneath his gear.

[spoiler=Personality:] Iwao has a very calm and relaxed demeanor about himself, yet is a hard-working lad. His poor growing up and his large ambitions had him strive for goals that he longed to achieve. Naturally, he has a steel resolve and a serious perseverance, though often he does not know when he should quit. He is a little dense and simple, but a lad of virtue and integrity. He is inherently friendly and trusting, but enjoys smaller companies over a large crowd of people. However, his lack of knowledge remains his biggest shortcoming.

 

In combat, Iwao is a front-line bruiser with incredible power to slug against the enemy. He isn’t above throwing taunts every here or there, nor is he above frustration and anger, however most of the time he does his best to remain composed and steadfast. Very core to his combat mentality is his objective-based mentality. He seeks to complete his tasks to the book and efficiently, though his abilities tend to render much of that task rather difficult given to how much collateral damage he can dish out. He is a largely independent fighter given his power, with limited support abilities, however he is not against working with others and will gladly cover one’s back should the occasion arise.

[spoiler=Biography:] Iwao was born into poverty, and worked from a very young age in order to help put food on the table. Most of his youth was doing just that - going to public school, and then heading to work. In his younger years it was paper rounds, but it soon grew into more manual labouring and then later even carpentry. He was doing more than his share with a shrug to it and did what he could to provide for his family with his parents. It was a hard time, he never really got to have much fun of his youth as the majority of it was spent working, however he did manage to make some work friends from it all.

 

Soon enough he was hitting the gym on the regular in between working, and being at home, and he was building quite a Herculean figure for himself. It would come to good fortune that the gym’s owner had a notice board ideal for his clients, as Iwao would come across a job position in the security sector. Being in great shape, he began to work as a bouncer, the pay significantly better than before. Things were looking up - he then pursued examinations and qualifications to put himself in a more employable circumstance, and landed himself as a security guard at the Neo Tokyo University, in particular the Science Wing.

 

This lead to the placement as a guard for Professor Fumio Takanaba’s private laboratory. It was a simple task, just make sure to keep out anyone who does not belong, ask no questions, give no answers, and receive a handsome lump of money. By now, living on his own, this meant he was making himself a nice nest egg - the simple lad needed little outside of his essentials, his gym membership, and a bit of luxury. He couldn’t complain, the pay was sweet and the job was easy. Though it got difficult at time dealing with paparazzi trying to snoop and steal secrets, Iwao had occasionally got into the wrong side of the book on that matter, but all seemed well honestly.

 

Of course, he was there when everything went wrong too - how was he supposed to know? He didn’t ask questions, so he wasn’t aware of the radioactive threat that set inside the laboratory. The alarms going off, and he went right to work getting people out of the laboratory as quickly as he could - but unlike others he wasn’t expected to be blasted with gas right into his face. The viruses struck him with full force and, while certainly clearing him of any colds or bugs he might’ve had, had a serious side effect. Choking into unconsciousness he woke up in a hospital ward in a state of serious pain. The viruses had since mutated in response to the their host, and peculiarly adapted strange traits - in particular, they reinforced Iwao’s muscle mass and density as well as his skeletal strength, but besides that had the strange effect of causing his body to be able to generate powerful shockwaves. It seemed the pain was a result of the young man’s body along with the symbiotic viruses developing an immunity to this effect.

 

Iwao was widely a nobody, irrelevant to the world, but after leaving hospital his newfound conditioning lead him to a realization of ability and responsibility. Unable to contact the good Professor, he was contacted by Alice Wakahisa. The two, on a whim, got an apartment and took a year to develop and master the growing potential and power inside of them, and soon Iwao managed to discover a use for his power, which he managed to do so under the mantle of Quake, a doer of justice and an engine of destruction. The press would come to his antics, and his popularity began to soar. He wore no mask, for it seemed that Quake would soon take over as his identity, with his life as Iwao sitting on the back bench, a life only Alice would really come to share regularly, to the extent that the two now share a budding romance between each other. Working with her as Esper, the two broke out as a crime fighting duo, a team the press comically called “Psychoquake."

 

Combat Information:

[spoiler=Powers:]Iwao has a reservoir of seismic energy in his body. He can infuse seismic energy with physical attacks, releasing seismic waves upon contact through punches and kicks, and absorbing seismic waves to make himself stronger. He is also able to generate shockwaves, channeling them through his strike-points or even launch them through his gauntlets. The longer he channels this seismic energy, the stronger the shockwave he can release - he can level a building if someone is stupid enough to let him charge enough power.

 

Similar to most others directly affected by the Takanaba incident, Iwao has developed superior human conditioning. He is able to wield superior strength compared to most, and further enhance this through manipulating his well of seismic energy. He is also significantly faster - his favourite mobility technique is a Super Jump, which by using seismic energy he can leap an enormous height and distance. In terms of endurance, his immunity to his own power keeps him from damaging himself, on top of the enhanced condition the viruses inflicted upon him.

[spoiler=Fighting Style:]Iwao is in the front of the battle, taking the hits and dishing them back. It is difficult to ignore the threat he poses, and thus does attract attention and aggression fairly well. He mostly serves as a hyper-powered combatant, using melee abilities in close quarters to incapacitate his enemies. He has minimal ranged ability, able to deal shock waves through the air close to him to distort travel patterns and disrupt movement, as well as slam seismic power into the ground to trigger quakes and fissures to trip up and throw off his enemies stance on the ground. He has a difficulty with flying and aerial enemies.

 

During the rare occasion, Iwao can also serve as a siege engine. Able to charge power, he can later unleash it onto a target. Not too ideal in combat, it mostly helps level walls or barriers stopping him reaching his target.

He stands at the height of 5'4 and weighs 150 pounds. His hair is a bright orange while his eyes are the same shade. He is skinny, only starting to develop muscle, although he is trying to work out and bulk up. His skin is a nice tanned color.

The suit covers most of his body, acting as an armor. It is painted gold and black. The mouthpiece is retractable, allowing him to instantly cover or uncover his mouth.

 

 

 

[spoiler=Personality]Menra is a shy and quiet boy. He gets flustered easily when he talks, often stuttering. This gets even worse when has to talk to a beautiful girl, hardly able to get a word out. He is very loyal to his friends, and will fight for them with all he has. He is also very humble and thinks lowly of himself, almost to an unhealthy degree, often letting others take credit for things he has done simply because he doesn't believe that he deserves the credit. He cares very much what others think of him, and does his best to please everyone... even though he will more than likely fail to do that.

In his costume though, he is much more confident, able to hold a conversation without stuttering. He even stands up straighter, and is liable to spout out corny lines. He still has an issue with beautiful girls though, reverting back to a stutter. He still is that humble and self loathing spineless coward in the end though.

[spoiler=Powers and Abilities]He has super speed, able to break the sound barrier. Going that fast, however, wears him out quickly. He has enhanced sense that can keep up with his speed, allowing him faster reflexes and thought process. His speed allows him to hit fast, and momentum allows him to hit hard. Do not confuse this for strength though. He is actually even weaker than an average human, his strength being sacrificed for speed.

[spoiler Appearance] Akira is almost unhealthily skinny and has very, very little muscle. He is pale skinned and tans easily, but he doesn't burn. He has ocean blue eyes framed by wire thin glasses that just manage to make the dark bags under his eyes look not as bad. He has dark brown, almost black short straight hair that almost reaches his eyes in the front and neck in the back; no matter what he does with it, it always greasy and unkempt. He is nearly 6 feet tall at 5'9" and has long, thin legs and his arms have scars along his forearms and his fingers are calloused; with short, trimmed finger nails.

[spoiler Personality] Akira is moderately smart, however will rush headlong into things and make rash decisions; he is also not very outgoing, however enjoys the company of others. Along with making rash decisions, he often doesn't think of how what he says will affect those around him. He is a bit self-centered, but is aware of this and does try to help others; and while he mostly looks out for himself, he would never purposefully hurt another person for his own gain. The thought of hurting others is so far gone from him that he would never consider it as a means to any goal. A bit greedy, and would willingly leave friends and family behind for financial gain. He has a love of books and reading, as well as art. He is agnostic atheist and believes that without proof, any claim should be seriously doubted; he is fine with others believing in whatever they want, as long as they don't go shoving it in others faces. He is not very opinionated, however is passionate about the opinions he does have. If a situation doesn't affect him or those he cares about, he probably doesn't care very much about what's going on.

 

 

[spoiler Biography]Akira is an only child. His dad was almost never in the picture, so his mom took care of him. She never shouted at him, but when he did something she disapproved of, she got a sad look on her face that hurt him to see. They were never rich, but scraped by on his father's income coupled with some money left by his grandparents. He was always a quiet child, sitting reading, absorbing knowledge. He never rebelled against his mom and it never crossed his mind. Through out his school years, he never had many friends or really had the courage to try to make friends with others. He always passed his classes with flying colors, up until high school; of which he had one year of before the events of the Takanaba incident. His mom could never convince him to go looking for a job, as he was always absorbed in his reading. He was at school at the time of the event, taking a math test and was exposed to the toxic air as it seeped through the windows of his classroom. In order to recover from the mutation, he consumed copious amounts of food to give his body the energy to heal. It took some time to get used to how his body moved again, but he knew he could do it, he had to; for his mom, for everyone who didn't survive he would exact revenge on those who caused this horrible tragedy; in the mean time, he would become a hero to save others from having to suffer like he did.

 

 

[spoiler Powers and Abilities]Akira can manipulate space around him, allowing him slice objects around him into pieces. Each piece can survive on its own, as the cut area appears as if a portal was attached to the parts, but it's much more vulnerable. Extremely taxing on the user, to the point that slicing a person in half, then one more slice will leave the user panting. However, he cannot do almost anything requiring more than a mediocre amount of physical exertion. His fighting style is completely reliant on his power.

Courtney stands at 5'5, and weighs 117 lbs. She has short brown hair, that frames a soft, round face. Her eyes are a light brown, but are usually covered by shades. Her complexion is a soft white, and usually devoid of make-up. Moving further down, she has a very lithe and slender build, with not much meat on her bones. It is that of a pear shape stature. Her upper torso is  rather small, whereas her legs are long in comparison. She has a defined taste in fashion, as all her clothes match her natural colors. She is usually seen wearing a black beret, a black chic scarf. She usually wears a mocha colored shirt, with a black corset over it. She also wears black cargo pants, and a golden chic belt. She matches these with her black motorcycle gloves. Finally, she tops the look off with black cargo pants, leading down to black combat boots.

[spoiler=Personality:]If Courtney were to be summed up in a few words, the first would most defiantly be smart, cool, and tomboyish. She is a highly intelligent woman, especially given how young she is. She also knows that she is smart, and although she has a bit of an ego, she uses it to help rather than put down. She is also notorious for being a cool, level-headed person, especially when hunting criminals/spying. She always keeps her composure, and is a valuable asset to a team. Her personality, off the job, is rather tomboyish. Her attitude is that of a 'bro.' She is a champ of the game Baseball, tackle football, and her favorite, Beer Pong . She is riot at gatherings, and fits in perfectly with guy crowds.

 

When hunting criminals, or doing something similar, Courtney changes demeanor a bit. She becomes a cool and confident leader. She is an expert at tracking her opposition. She will often times toy with her opponent, taunting them from the veil of invisibility, and instilling fear before she goes to apprehend them. However, unless necessary, she won't kill. In each fight, she doesn't hesitate to taunt her opposition, often weaving curses in-between her nationalist monologues. Despite her many good traits, she wont fight a battle she knows she can't win. She will use her power to escape if the situation gets dire. Self preservation and her own intelligence are her greatest flaws. She would have very little regrets about letting a teammate take a bullet for her.

[spoiler=Overview:]Courtney was born to an average household in Montpelier, Vermont. However, she was not so average. From a young age, she displayed the ability to regenerate wounds relatively quickly. Unfortunately, she figured it out too. The young girl had quite the temper, constantly getting into fights with other elementary school kids, fights she would usually win. For some reason, this young girl had monstrous strength. It was joked about that she spent more time in the principal's office than in her classes. However, transitioning through puberty, Courtney changed a lot.

 

It started when she had woken up one morning, and didn't see herself in a mirror. Her parents had had their suspicions, but had never truly been able to confirm she was a 'meta-human' until this day. She got up, out of bed, to turn off her alarm. She went to the restroom to get a shower, and thats when she had the first sign. She looked down to remove her clothes, and she couldn't see them. She looked into the mirror, and couldn't see her own reflection. After the initial 'is this a dream' sequence, she realized this was the real world. She made her way into her parents room, after awkwardly punching the door, as a result of being unable to see her hands, before she finally located them and the doorknob. After opening it, she woke them up with a start. They believed it to be a ghost until they heard her talking, rapidly explaining her panic. It was quite the predicament at first, them being unable to see her, so she had to put her back to a wall, and her father spray painted it until some of it caught on her, temporarily revealing her.

 

They submitted her information and explained the predicament, and within a few hours, the entirely red girl was on her way to becoming a hero, unbeknownst to her. While training under the BMA, she learned how to activate her invisibility at will, as well as deactivate it. It took her an entire month to perfect it though, and she was constantly under video thermal surveillance to prevent her from trying anything. The physical training and conditioning, however, helped shape her personality. Gone was the aggressive, self centered brat. Spending time away, with people similar to her, helped shape her into a much better person. Once her training was finished, the BMA took notice of her power, and the practical use that came with it. They offered, and she accepted in the bat of an eyelash.

 

Courtney resumed her time in school for a bit, occasionally being called to do some espionage, or gather information on supposed commies, since her powers had developed enough for her to become an expert on infiltration. This little side job gave her advanced learning in school. She was doing Calculus in 7th grade, and was an expert with coding. She could even break encryption, making the school very irritated when she overrode the password to listen to some of her music in class. However, she was never revealed to be a hero, nor did she do the jobs she started to crave, such as fighting and apprehending criminals.

 

That was sure to change by college. Following up her young success, she was given a full ride scholarship to University of San Francisco. Her parents were thrilled. However, Courtney knew what it was. It was like her dreams had come true, she was finally recognized enough to be relocated to San Francisco, to hunt the big game, and given a scholarship under the guise of that. When she arrived, she was no doubt transported to none other than the BMA headquarters. A few years passed, and Courtney had become a national figure. Criminals began to fear the shadows, and the unseen. 'Ghost,' as she was now called had taken to the streets.

Her costume is a simple jump suit, fit to her form. It is a charcoal black, with black stripes as accents. It is designed for covert ops, and anti-chaffing material. It is also equipped with hidden pockets, in case the need to conceal something in it arises. A simple design, but very practical. She also wears a black mask to help conceal her identity, since there will be times she is caught on camera, despite being able to fade from the visible spectrum.

Powers: Courtney possesses the ability to turn invisible to the naked eye. By bending the photons around her, she slowly fades, until becoming impossible to detect. Because the nature of her power, anything she is wearing/holding turns invisible with her. However, she can not make anyone but herself invisible, and the power isn't complete stealth. Objects that sense body heat can still detect her, and she can still make noise, and an aroma. Those with enhanced senses can still detect her, at the very least. She can't hold stealth for too long though, as once she takes damage, it shimmers. When she takes too much, it breaks.

Fighting Style: Ghost fights ambush tactics, sneaking up on her opponents, and bringing them down before they knew what hit them. In her tote bag (which is made of Kevlar), she has a variety of different tools to aid her. She has a bunch of USB flash drives that look like pens, perfume that sprays Tear Gas, a lipstick tube that has a concealed Taser, and a napkin with chloroform. She is also proficient in martial arts, namely Savate. She can also use her tote bag as a weapon, due to its material, and weight. It is a whopping 10 pounds without content, and bedazzled with golden studs.
