For all intents and purposes, the Frog engine is very potent in this deck due to general synergy, as well as unlocking the battle immunity of Cat Shark. The most ideal play using them is from the start, and it involves having Swap Frog as well as another Frog/Ronintoadin in hand alongside Rank-Up-Magic Astral Force. This combo lets you ditch the Frog/Ronin to SS Swap, who then mills a Ronin/Frog using its effect. By bouncing itself back, you can then NS it, milling another Frog/Ronin. (Ronin ideally UNLESS you already have 2 in grave.) At the end of the play you should have 2 Ronin and 1 Frog in grave. You then banish that Frog to SS Ronin and then make Sky Cavalry Centaurea using it and Swap. You then Astral Force it into Bujinki Amaterasu, who then detaches the Swap attached to it to SS the Frog banished for Ronin (preferably another Swap, who can then mill your last Ronin.) You then SS the other Ronin by banishing the Swap you detached, and make Cat Shark with it and the SSed Frog. Cat Shark is now immune to battle, and can buff Amaterasu in a pinch to overcome battle. From there, you can quick-play Amaterasu during your opponent's Draw Phase/Standby Phase to grab back the Swap you banished.

From then on, you use the Burgesstoma in order to begin amassing advantage and help to defend Amaterasu and Cat Shark, until you can supply the means to begin spamming Burgesstoma Opabinia, who will then help oppress your opponent whilst helping you to build resources. Xyz Reborn is there because it synergizes with the Burgesstoma Xyz, and can also bring back the likes of Amaterasu as well. You will typically work towards ending your opponent through the use of Burgesstoma Anomalocaris and his constant popping.

In terms of the Burgesstoma, Canadia is best at stunning your opponent, with Dinomischus being second best, only because of the discard cost holding it back. Marrella and Leanchoilia are only run @2 because the mill from Marrella isn't that great beyond filling your grave, and Lean is better suited towards recovering Frogs so you can use Ronin more. Olenoides is a must-have @3, as being able to hit backrow is quite useful to Burgesstoma. Pikaia is draw power, and that's always nice when you can spare a Hallucigenia or Marrella, or a better one if desperate. In all, you should always try to find the best time to use your Burgesstoma, so as to monopolize on their SS effect. Without Aegis of the Ocean Dragon Lord they're quite vulnerable until you get Opabinia, who makes Burgesstoma plays incredibly stupid.

Ultimately, the deck is pretty damn fun, and can pull off some startling disruptions if used right. Cardcar D is used in case of backrow heavy hands, or if you can afford to skip out on a turn for more draw power.
