During your Main Phase: You can return this face-up card from the field to the hand. During either player's Damage Step, when a LIGHT monster you control battles: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; that monster gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster it is battling, until the end of this turn.

Anyone remember when this card was limited with people crying for it's head on spike?

I honestly think this card is bound to be problematic in multiples, currently semi-limited in TCG, went to 3 in the October OCG list, stacking multiple honest makes this game incredibly stupid. Like Chronofacts stacking multiple Honests on a CDI is bullshit

Maybe I'm just salty, but really don't think it's a good idea to have at 2-3

To be Honest stacking Honest doesn't actually happen as often as you'd think and it's often unecessary and wasteful to do so. Honest's really amazing for Kozmo but the advantages it gets from it being at 2 are just that you see it more often, unless you're pushing for game (which Kozmo don't struggle with anyway) you'd rather use them separately to guarantee you get 2 Farmgirl searches or whatever. Excellent card atm, it's as good as it's been since Lightsworn, but I don't think it terrible problematic at 2, just a nice extra bit of glue for Kozmo.

I hate this card.

I hate this card.

I hate this card.

I cate this hard.

On Topic:

Card is stupid powerful. I'm not comfortable at all with it being at 2, and DEFINITELY not at 3. It'd be rare enough for my tastes if it were at 1, and if it were at 0, I'd be without much fear against lights.

Doesn't change the fact that I think this thing is the spawn of Satan himself.

Didn't this get weakened somewhat by that ruling Change that It can't activate in Damage Calc?

From what I understand you still can't respond to it with non-stat modulating non-negating chain link 2 stuff, afaik the only difference is that you can activate multiple Honests on multiple chains during one attack now. I think. Don't quote me on that.

I'm split on the card, as I do use it. However, archetypes such as Performage, Lightsworn, and Kozmo can utilize this. Not very fond in that respect, so I can see what you're saying.

Honest stacking is not the card's problem. Seriously. Using 2 Honest on a single attack is game-winning, but using 1 Honest is game-winning, too.

It's overly flexible, affecting any LIGHT monster. There are a LOT of LIGHT monsters in many archetypes. It boosts by the ATK of the other monster. So you are essentially killing a monster and hitting LP directly. That's both offensive and defensive applications. You can use it even when your ATK is higher. You can use it with multi-attackers like BLS, since the boost lasts for the rest of the turn, and not just that Damage Step.

And it's a hand trap, so it can't really be removed ahead of time with removal cards.

I don't care much about this card, but it makes some Decks significantly more dangerous than they already are. It can be played around, but it's still annoying and can steal games.

I remember when Beckoning Light in Lightsworns when this was at 3 in TCG could make my 3k monster end up crash into 9k battle damage when trying to kill a big beater.....

It doesn't happen incredibly often but it does happen at 3 that they can stack. At 2, it is very unlikely unless it is being saved, and even then not being part of an archetype means you'll go through the consistency of the rest of your deck before even drawing of of these some of the time, which is more true as the game progresses.

It takes a little judgment too to decide if you want to connect that bigger damage to OTK right there or deliver the slight push needed in your next turn, or if you deem it hard to win with it and deciding to go for the advantage ways and save it for Farmgirls.

I would have expected back when it was created to see one that either halved the other monster or made my monster gain half of what Honest boosts. Nowadays I'd expect a "decrease to 0" version, which Yuzu got....
