Identity Information
Name: Rena Durand
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Histia, Trikka
[spoiler=Appearance]

Height: 5'4"

Weight: 120 lbs

Has a nose

[spoiler=Personality]

If there was one person who you could count on to always hear their voice, it'd be Rena. A loud person who doesn't ever seem to know the meaning of the word "calm." She has an almost child-like atmosphere to her as she is someone who always going at full speed, never stopping. A being of infinite curiosity, as she knows very little of the world, she is taken aback by most all kinds of sights and scenes. And when she finds something interesting or cool, her excitement seems to know no bounds. A hyper individual who tends to ignore the fact that personal space or the like exists in the first place, and often seems to think everyone loves her, only to be shocked and flabbergasted when they don't.

Furthermore, Rena likes to pretend that she is some kind of hero of justice. Often times spewing random nonsense to go along with such a persona, wanting to immediately take on any opponent that she would designate as a "bad guy" for whatever simplistic reason. She tends to think that she is the strongest fighter to ever exist, and that to insinuate otherwise is blaspheme. While she seems to just be an overall energetic girl normally, this hero persona only seems to come out during times when such a hero is felt to be needed, but even isn't consistent during those times. When someone calls her out on such things or insinuates that such behavior is weird, she tends to become some kind of combination of either bashful or annoyed and wishes to hear no further comments.

Her pegasus, Rem, is her trusty steed and fellow companion. Rem seems to be the much more level headed than his otherwise enthusiastic partner and is very likely the thing that has kept her alive. A stubborn horse that doesn't concede easily to its master's wishes and tends to steer them away from anything that looks impossible or outright stupid. While neither actually speak the same language, they seem to have a mutual understanding and trust of each other. While Rem is not a people's person, (or horse for that matter,) often times disliking most new people he meets; the duo has been together long enough that either is considered as a precious aspect of the other's life.

[spoiler=Bio]

The wings of freedom. The champions of the skies. Valiant fighters who upheld justice, while possessing a certain grace to them as well. These were the qualities of a pegasus knight, and such qualities were often admired. They were a force in Histia that all who sat within their borders could look up to and aspire to follow in their example. Often female in their ranks, it would be no surprise to anyone that a young starry eyed girl would admire such a force.

From as early as she could remember, Rena had always wanted to become a pegasus knight. Always admiring those who could put their lives on the line to bring swift justice to all that would oppose the peace of Histia. And so, she devoted the better part of her earlier life to trying and becoming one such knight. In her earlier years, this manifested in her playing pretend, in order to vanquish the evil "monsters" in the neighborhood. The more she did it, the more like a hero she felt, and soon came to an odd realization that perhaps she really was meant to be a hero of justice, flying through the skies. As soon as she was old enough to, she went on to learn how to fight with a spear in hand. While she was regarded as a raw and completely reckless individual, there was a natural talent that she had that those who trained her felt could be tempered into something great. As such, they continued to train her and when the time came, she was to pick a pegasus to become her mount.

While there was any number of winged horses she could have chosen, she chose Rem. Rem did not enjoy being chosen. He made his dissatisfaction at the girl's overall demeanor readily apparent as he simply bucked her off when she had attempted to saddle up on it. And while there were many other pegasi to choose from, and Rena had the choice at any time, at that point she felt as though she would've lost to it if she picked a different one. And so, for months to come the two went at it. After trying to do any manner of things, whether it be tackle hugging, feeding or getting into a tussle, Rena had tried everything she could think of in order to get Rem to accept her as his rider. However, over the months, the dysfunctional duo seemed to form a sort of mutual respect with each other. Due to this, the pegasus accepted the girl's determination and allowed her to become its rider.

Even so, they're training together was not the smoothest of sailing and they had a look of edges to smooth out before they could ever be deemed a combat ready pair, to aid in their town's pegasus guard. And so, whenever their was an immediate threat to the town, the pair often had to sit out due to being labeled as just a liability at the moment. One such time, Rena had gotten fed up with this kind of treatment, and so she went to Rem. After much convincing of the horse, who was also feeling a bit antsy as well, the two had left after the patrol that had already made their way towards the threat. In doing this, Rena quickly figured some things out. That she hadn't really left home all that much during her life. The second thing she found out was that she, and by extension her pegasus, were lost. Not sure of where to go, and after some bickering between the pair, they have since been flying around Histia trying to find...well anything.

Rena employs the incredibly complex and sound of mind strategy of fly in and stab the enemy with the pointy end of her spear. Wow, complex I know. And you know what this tactical genius does when on foot? She runs at people, and tries to stab them with the pointy end of her spear. And to change things up, sometimes she whacks them with it the shaft, whoa man slow down all this military genius is getting too deep for me.

[spoiler=Blossom]
Identity Information
Name: Tsetseg Altansarnai
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Locris
[spoiler=Appearance]
Image Here

In addition to this, Tsetseg often wears a short, green cloak over her top half
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 123 Lbs

[spoiler=Personality]
A person who does not seem to have a state of calm, Tsetseg is someone who is a regular bundle of energy. She often has an incredibly cheery disposition, not tending to drudge on anything negative, and tends to have a rather simplistic train of thought. She tends to become quickly friendly with anyone who she deems as nice, and thus easily trusting of them. When talking with others, despite her rather fast paced method of talking, tends to be rather slow on understanding what is being said, causing her to repeat either what she's said or others have said in rapid succession before coming to her own conclusion. She seems to not really care much for personal space, and often times has trouble keeping her hands to herself. This extends to objects as well, as she enjoys fiddling around with contraptions and locks, and finds opening them to be quite the fun game.

Tsetseg is someone who seems to be in a constant state of wonder towards most things in the world, constantly taken aback and surprised by even the most trivial of things at times. Due to this, she tends to marvel at such findings. Yet despite this, this wonder seems only transient at best, as her mind quickly tends to go to focus on other things, the only exception to this being hunting. She is an incredibly enthusiastic person, who, while her attention is trapped by something will go at it with all of her being. To this effect, she tries to be helpful to others whenever she can, even when they don't really need help, with both physical and emotional problems. While she is good at telling when someone is down, she is not the greatest at figuring the causes behind it and thus tends to be a bit intrusive in her speech.

[spoiler=Bio]
Tsetseg has always had a penchant for getting herself into some kind of trouble. Growing up, her idle curiosity of the world around her constantly caused her to wander around and interact with everything she saw. And while she marveled at everything she saw, it tended to cause problems from others, such as accidentally startling horses, dropping or spilling things, accidentally causing issues with supplies, etc.. Nevertheless, as Tsetseg's tribe was one that everyone was expected to know how to hunt in, and thus Tsetseg was no exception to this. When she was of age to begin partaking in these, she was given a bow and taught the basic principles behind it before being sent off with a group to see how she would do with it. While there was very little expectations of the scatterbrained girl, she seemed to be far more focused in her archery then anything else she had ever done, and seemed to posses far more skill with a bow and arrow then anyone would ever expect from her.

From the moment that the girl got her first kill onto something, she felt a feeling of joy and was seldom seen without her bow from then on. And while the girl was good at hunting, this only gave her more ways to get herself into trouble. Still having her head in the clouds and being easily distracted, the girl would often find themselves separated from others or having gone out on a hunt by herself, unbeknownst to everyone else. Yet despite constantly finding herself lost or separated from the rest of her hunting party, things would always seem to work out for the best, with the girl finding her way home or finding some manner of beast that they weren't expecting to be in the area. This continued to hold true for most of her life until one day.

As her tribe was under the large umbrella that was the Hati tribe, in spite of being nomadic they still traded with other civilizations at the village of Saz. As such, they frequented the village often in order to give surplus of animal meat or parts of value in exchange for other goods. Accompanying the traders one day, Tsetseg went with them into the village, and this having been her first time that she had been able to thoroughly explore the village she found herself absolutely in awe by all the different kinds of people and products there. Wandering about, the girl continued to browse and look at just about everything she could, until she found a group of merchants that she found to look interesting. Following behind them to see what they were up to as they had left the village, the girl continued to tail them until night had fallen. It was at this moment that she realized that she was no longer with the people she had come with. To make matters worse, she hadn't actually any idea where she actually was. However, thinking that everything would likely work itself out, the girl simply picked a direction and walked in it, wandering about the continent.

[spoiler=This exists]
Name: Shiro
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Birthplace: Pelinna Region
[spoiler=Appearance][spoiler=Human form] eX0pxtt.jpg
Height: 5'2
Weight: 120 pounds

[spoiler=Frog Form]XFzOHNi.jpg
Height: 6'2
Weight: 345 pounds

[spoiler=Personality] Shiro is a man of action, one that tends to let his actions to do the talking, both on and sometimes off the battlefield. He rarely opens up about his past, preferring to keep the conversation about others. He is a helpful person, wishing to help everyone around him, maybe a bit too much, as he will actively ignore his needs and health to help others. He is deeply loyal to those that earn his respect.

His years of being a slave has hurt his self esteem, as he thinks rather poorly of himself, asserting that he is not very attractive nor ever does anything worthy of praise. He is also has a hard time being around or trust people from Palaea, as that was the land he was enslaved in for many years.

He has a great appreciation for nature and wildlife, often befriending the animals. He loves being among nature and will always do his best to stay near it. He also loves the water and will sit in it whenever he can. He is a hard worker though, making sure things are finished before going to frolic with nature.

[spoiler=Biography] Shiro grew up as a curious young tadpole/child in a hidden village deep in the Pelinna Region. He was always told he wasn't able to leave the village, because the outside world was harsh and wouldn't accept Proteans. He was, however, a 7 year old child, and he managed to sneak away to explore the city of Ithome.

He had a grand old time exploring the city in his human form, and 'learning' about humans. However, a thief stole from a vendor he befriended, and Shiro took on his frog form in order to stop him. Seeing a way to get rich quick, several travelling merchants quickly set a trap for him, capturing the young boy and loading him up to sell as an exotic pet.

After a few months of travelling, the merchants found someone that was willing to buy the transforming frog, a rich family in Palaea. For the next ten years, he lived in misery, being a large performing pet, not allowed to take his human form or speak lest he get whipped and go without food.

One day however, perhaps because of the way the family mistreated their entire staff, a young bulter released Shiro, asking only to be allowed to come with him as he ran away. Shiro took the young man's offer, running away with him. They traveled together a long time, getting very close while trying to find Shiro's homeland.

However, one day, they were ambushed by bandits, an encounter that the bulter did not live through. Heartbroken, Shiro managed to fight his way out of the ambush, only to learn his home was just a mountain climb away. With a heavy heart, he headed home, spending the rest of his time defending it from any humans that may stumble their way close to it.

So far the new characters look good. Shouldn't really need any changes aside from the ones I mentioned before in skype.

Also Aez and Elly have decided not to be part of this RP any longer, so I took out their character information on the roster.

New IC post is also up!

[spoiler=LORE: Garou Regiment]

rm8md4.png

“Carpe diem. Carpe noctem. Carpe uictoria.”

img_mouseover3.jpg

House Balfon bears the epithet “Sword and Shield of Galtea”, and if that is true, the Garou Regiment is the sword in said title. They are known for their prowess in battle, and their presence on the battlefield invokes courage in allies, fear in enemies, and inspires soldiers to fight harder to impress the legendary 31st regiment. But to understand the reputation they possess, you have to go back to the beginning, to a humble farmer who lived on the outskirts of the Vinuvian Forest.

Bregor Vale, known to the history books as the Swordsman of the Forest, was raised the son of a farmer. He grew to despise the job over the years, and would often look out over their pastures and into the Vinuvian Forest, where he saw many strange and fascinating things; shadows he couldn’t explain, figures that would be there one moment yet gone the next, and noises from creatures he couldn’t identify. No one ever dared to search deeper into the forest in search of what was responsible, in fact, Bregor noticed that not even the animals ventured into the arcane place.

At this point the stories begin to vary. Some say that Bregor himself traveled into the forest, where he encounters a pack of wolves that catch his attention because they are the only animals brave enough to enter, some say that he’d never personally stepped foot into the forest, but saw the wolf pack entering the forest one afternoon while he was farming, and others outlandishly claim that a pack of wolves attacked his farm and dragged him into the forest with him fighting the whole way. It’s impossible to tell which of these is correct, but one thing remains constant in all the stories: the wolves.

Bregor was fascinated by the wolves that lived in the forest, and he studied them for years. The way they moved, or how they flawlessly worked together without making a sound, the confident but cautious strut. And so the day that bandits, roving the hillside, attacked his farm, Bregor picked up his great-grandfather’s old sword, and channeled all of his knowledge of wolves into fighting them off. According to legend, the bandits never knew what hit them. They were slowly picked off from the shadows, one-by-one, and when Bregor came upon the leader, his measured, quiet and calculating strikes left the man spinning in place to keep up.

Such was Bregor Vale’s first taste of battle, but it was far from his last. He had found his true passion that night, and a farmer he could no longer be. The Galtean military had been recruiting, bolstering their numbers as tensions with other countries rose, and Bregor gladly left his farm behind to join their ranks. (*1) His trail becomes hard to follow for a few years at this point, and historians disagree on where he ended up, but most can agree that he never quite made it to the Galtean army. Some hypothesize that he lost his way traveling and accidentally went northeast, into Pontus, while others say he went South, to Naupactus, hoping to find a Galtean knight to join. Regardless, we know for certain that he ended up in Locris within a few years.

It is unknown why, or what he was doing, but during his time there Bregor resided with the ancestors of what came to be the Hati tribe. He studied with some of their most skilled myrmidon, and gained notoriety among them as the “Wolf Swordmaster” because of his unique style. (*2) Near the end of his time in Locris, Bregor came across a fight between an unidentified tribe and a group of highly outnumbered outsider, and he intervened. He fought the chief of the tribe in single combat, and when he defeated him, he ordered the tribe to leave or they would be next. Then, he brought the outsiders to the Hati, who treated their wounds.

The leader of the outsiders, Regimond Balfon, offered Bregor a place in his Father’s court for his aid. Bregor took his offer, and traveled back to Galtea with Regimond, where he served as a soldier in the Galtean army. But it was not a thing like he had imagined years before, and Bregor thought of most of the soldiers as inexperienced and too happy to sit on their rumps and do nothing. He raised his concern to Regimond, now the Lord of House Balfon, who said if he thought that lowly of them, did he believe he could do better himself? Bregor thought long and hard on that, on what he would do if he was in charge, and eventually came to the conclusion that yes, he could do better.

Lord Regimond offered him the ability to handpick the soldiers he would like to serve under him from his most elite troops, but Bregor turned him down, instead asking to see the recruits. He spoke with each of them one-on-one, in secrecy without them knowing what he was there for, and challenged each of them to spar. From those recruits, he didn’t choose the best, but the ones with the best ethic and most potential. (*3) With his hand chosen recruits, the swordmaster founded what would later become the 31st regiment.

He trained them in many tactics ahead of the time period. In an era dominated by cavalry and heavily armored men from the Knight Academy, Bregor taught them to be nimble, balanced, and cool-headed as a wolf. Taught them how to fight in the middle of the night, when you had to rely on more than vision, and that the greatest battles were not the ones written of in the history books, but the ones that the enemy never even saw you coming.

When the 31st regiment fought their first official battle, it was marked down as the most one-sided fight in Galtean history. They executed the guards of the encampment, and then forced them to surrender when they were dressed for bed, and brought them all back as prisoners. Not a single casualty on their end, and it marked the beginning of a reputation that prevails to this day. They became known to enemies of the kingdom by many names. The wolves of Galtea, the Night Stalkers, but the name that stuck the most was the Garou, or “Wolf Folk”, and eventually Bregor’s men convinced him to adopt it as their official title. (*4)

The Garou Regiment, 31st regiment of the Galtean military, only grew more famous from that point on. Bregor was not always the leader, but he passed the reigns onto his most trusted soldier, who kept it going just as strong as the Swordmaster of the Forest once had. (*5) They evolved over time, as well, to stay relevant. Still the most shrouded in mystery, the Garou regiment slowly came out of the shadows more often for direct combat. They still choose the stealthy route when they can, but it is not as common. They also have adapted their sword style, and each member is unique in the way what they are taught in the regiment mixes with what they learned elsewhere to culminate into the dangerous sword styles they use in battle.

“Careful, there’s wolves about.”

Footnotes

1) Some say that his farmhouse still stands to this day, but the Vinuvian Forest has expanded since he lived near it and where it would have been is now inside the forest.

2) They also say that he resembled a wolf. It’s unsure if they meant the way he moved, or his personality, or even if he wore a wolf’s head hat around them.

3) “Some are born with skill, but that’s not important. It can be learned. Determination? That's nature, not nurture. A skilled opponent isn’t half as terrifying as a determined one.”

4) Though they were officially called the Garou regiment, the original group still affectionately referred to themselves as “Bregor’s Boys.”

5) Bregor’s fate is the most contested point of his life. Some say he was killed in battle, while others say that when the effects of time had slowed him down, Bregor ventured into the forest to see the wolf pack he had watched as a child one last time. There’s no facts to back either of these up, and many treasure hunters have lost their way in the Vinuvian Forest hunting for his house and spreading rumors that his lost belongings are in there.

  • 3 weeks later...

I mean we're still accepting. It's not that I'm lazy and forgot to change it to NA (though that's an understandable assumption on your part). I decided to emulate the Fire Emblem games in that there is a constantly expanding cast.

Yeah, if you still want to join, feel free to post an app. Keep in mind, you'll probably have to make a few changes to it before it's accepted, but that's a process everybody had to go through.

[spoiler=Cielacanth]

“Bearing this name…perhaps even from birth, I am cursed to carry the weight of my family’s shame.”

Identity Information
Name: Ciela Celestinia/Mirrahel
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Birthplace: Miriam, Galtea.

[spoiler=Appearance]
yPLdxPt.jpgEmrakul has left the scene, don't bother pursuing her. 163 cm in height, and 54 kilograms in weight. She’s quite frail compared to most people, and her body is unsuited to physical labor. Despite her family having lost everything though, she still somehow managed to keep her appearance up and tidy for the most part, giving off a certain pampered vibe to her. Also, not too important, but she's pretty flat. The lumps of meat in the image above are just your imagination acting up.

[spoiler=Personality]
Whether one knows her true identity or not, Ciela would look like she is a spoiled, haughty brat that acted somewhat immaturely considering her age. She’s inconsiderate to a degree, although it’s rarely deliberate, and quite insensitive too especially regarding personal issues. Often talks in a condescending or generally irritable tone, which at times makes her presence unwelcome in groups.

However, truthfully she is trying her best to change the above behavior ever since she ran away. As she was born in a condition that resulted in the above unpleasantness however, at times her efforts can be seen as minimal as she already is too used to be someone described on the previous paragraph, even if it is against her wish. It makes her look like she’s someone that is hard to approach at first, but once one manages to get over the barrier that is erected around her, they will find that she has a friendly side.

However, an issue she has that somewhat prevented her growth is her lack of perception for what kind of person she should strive to be in the future. Lacking a concrete goal in mind due to her short-sighted thought and sheltered mind, at most that she could think of is her desire to be genuinely respected and the desire to finally have associates that are truly close to her, unlike her "family". Yet, without any ideas on what she should do, her journey so far could be said as meaningless to her growth.

She is used to a life of luxury for the most part, so she can be quite picky when it comes to her tastes, although if push comes to shove, she’s willing to disregard this and not complain, especially since her funds are diminishing greatly as of late. Her being a noble brat aside, she is actually is quite interested in the academics, and actively dwells in topics related to magic. She rarely practices magic outright, but she loves reading magic tomes, and she even taught herself healing magic despite it being somewhat of a taboo in society, although it’s simply a reckless decision on her part, fueled by her curiosity. Also, a side that people would not expect from her would be her resourcefulness and quick-wittedness despite her short-sighted planning for the most part. If given the chance, she could reliably figure out ways to get out of trouble, although most of the time she left it more to her intuition.

[spoiler=Biography]
House Mirrahel used to be one of the major noble houses that reigns over Galtea, however it entered a state of decline starting with three generations ago, that led it to lose more and more of its authority. Ciela was born out of wedlock between her father, then-Lord Lucati and a peasant girl that was the wife of his personal cook. As it would’ve been a huge scandal if it spread outside of the inner circle, and that could lead him lose more of his support and influence, Lord Lucati decided to frame both of them for treason, and executed them while taking Ciela in as his daughter due to the pressure from his wife, although she died just one year later, and the reason why he didn’t just dump Ciela afterwards was that she had been officially a member of the family, and whether he liked it or not, dumping her would only mar him further.

As the youngest of his three children, while Ciela did get to enjoy a life of luxury inside of her family’s keep, even having her personal servants ever since she was little, she was never allowed to go outside and interact with the world outside of the keep complex for a reason that at first she could not understand. Yet, as she grew, she started to notice the different way others looked at her, even her supposed sisters and parents. They did not do anything abusive to her, but their glance sent a message to Ciela: her existence was unwanted there. The more she observed, the more she noticed about how much people put a distance from her, and how much they tried to not notice her presence unless she directly addressed them. Being as curious as she was, she tried to dig for information about the reason why, and while no one was willing to answer her at first, one day she managed to bribe her maids to talk, and the answer destroyed the entire image she had on her life and everyone around her.

Just months afterwards, her siblings was killed in a hunting incident, and with a heavy heart her father named her as the successor of the House. At this point Ciela already had little interest in having anything to do with him, but he forced her to take the position as the heir of the family. However, she never got the chance to actually inherit anything. In the span of a month, the king of Galtea made a statement to strip House Mirrahel of its nobility, and he also sent troops to seize the house’s properties, as the news of the extent of the house’s corrupt and decadent nature, not to mention the debts it had accumulated over the years, reached the capital. This, of course, somehow included the news of the scandal involving Lord Lucati. With the threat of imprisonment or worse, he attempted to send Ciela away to House Balfon to carry the Mirrahel’s name, but at that point, Ciela had ran away after stealing as much valuables as she could, on top of one of the finest remaining horses on their stable.

Unaware and uncaring of what kind of fate befell her father and her relatives after she ran away, the short-sighted Ciela realized that street life didn’t suit her at all, and even with her attempt to create a new identity for herself, she insisted on living her life with almost the same luxuries she had in the past, and the funds she stole, as numerous as it was at first, ended up slowly disappearing, but along the way she learned how to swindle some money from others, and by several strokes of luck, she somehow always managed to get away scot-free.

Her journey led her to Histia after a year of careless travels. Hearing some news on a group led by the princesses of Galtea was somewhat nearby, Ciela decided that if she joined them, perhaps she could start actually changing from the side of her she despised, yet the doubt of whether they would even give her the chance lingered on her mind.

• HP - E
• Str - E
• Mag - B
• Skl - E
• Spd – B
• Lck - A
• Def - E
• Res - C
HP, STR, and DEF being E is due to her...subpar physique as a sheltered noble girl, who rarely exercises outside of the occasional riding practice and playing some games with servant girls or her siblings. SKL being E because she sucks and untrained at anything combat-related, even using her staff. SPE being B is due to her small frame (and her horse) allowing more agility on or off the horseback, although even then she still has subpar stamina. Mag being B due to her innate (if not very untrained) potential in magic, although it's nothing really exceptional and Res being C is probably an effect of her healing magic studies. Luck being A...it is both her gift and curse, and it is what shapes her.

[spoiler=Fighting Style]
For the most part, Ciela doesn’t fight, as her capability mainly lies on healing, although she is quite incompetent at even that and the only reason she is useful is her innate potential in magic. Coupled with untrained physique, at most, what she can actually do in a fight is hitting the enemies with her staff, or more reliably, get her horse to trample them. Although, she is not that skilled with issuing such orders to her horse, so it tends to backfire..

Realizing that healing magic is best channeled using a staff, Ciela made sure she got one before she decided to join the group.

  • Elixir x1

Reflecting on her wasteful nature and her preference for luxuries, she prefers using Elixirs rather than Vulneraries to treat her wounds, although she only has a bottle left right now.

  • Blue Gem

This gem is pretty much what's left of the bounties she took when she escaped. She was going to pawn it off for some quick cash before she heard about the traveling group led by Catriona.

  • House Mirrahel’s Crest

As much as she tried to separate herself from the fallen House, she still clutches the memories she had before she learned the truth behind herself and her “family” closely. For her, despite everything, this crest represents that, and at times she even tries to imagine how would she fare if she ends up succeeding Lord Lucati as the head of the House.

[spoiler=Other Information]
  • Theme Song: Halozy - Children on their Birthday
  • Luck, for Ciela, is an odd thing, and she is quite hesitant to call herself lucky in any capacities. A lot of times throughout her life, she experiences what could normally be called as good luck, but it always resolves in a way she ends up disliking. Even since she was born, the fact she was spared and taken to a noble family is supposed to be a form of good luck, yet it ends up with her being the unwanted part of the House. Living a luxurious life from she’s little is a dream of many, but with her having it at the cost of social interactions, she grew up into a mess. The fact she lucked out when her maidservant was willing to tell her about her origin to sate her curiosity ends up crushing the world as she knew it. The fact her “siblings” that she wasn’t even close with died in an accident, clearing the way for her to be the successor as the head of the noble house would be a good luck if it was any other House, and if she had any care about inheriting it. Her father and the rest of her relatives’ downfall was something she had wished for long, but it also marks the end of the luxurious life she’s used to. And finally, in the end despite her “luck” almost always letting her successfully swindle bullions from people and escape safely, doing so perpetuated her desire to continue living extravagantly and her willingness to do anything to get the money to do so, and she realizes that sooner or later it would lead her to ruin.
  • However, it is still unclear for her whether her luck is really rotten or whether she should try looking at it from another perspective.
  • Isn’t really that good with a horse. Only reason why Remy didn’t kick her around is simply due to it recognizing her as it was the horse that Ciela had practiced the most.
  • Due to her sheltered life, she is quite of a prude and is somewhat easily flustered with more open displays of affection. The thought of romance rarely, if ever, passes through her mind.

[spoiler=Mount Information]
Name: Remigius (Remy)
Age: 7
Information: A white stallion with greyish mane that was one of the finest in House Mirrahel’s stable. It was not that big for a grown-up horse, but it was very agile as it was originally bred as a race horse, Ciela wasn’t really attached to it at first since she at first only saw it as her tool to escape to a new life, but as it was her only companion during her travel, she ended up developing some feelings for it.

Will post additional piece of info regarding House Mirrahel later, but here it is.

[spoiler=The Kitsune Channeler]

[spoiler=Info]Name:Sienna

Age:26

Gender:Female

Birthplace:Pelinna Forest

[spoiler=Appearance]tAG_66327.jpg

"Looks like... my journey ends... here..."

5'9" 139 lbs.

Sienna actually has a very fluffy fox tail, instead of a cat tail in the above image.

[spoiler=Personality]Being a Kitsune Tribesman, Sienna is fiercely loyal to her friends and allies, and will do whatever she can to help them. She is rather outgoing and very curious of the world, making her a bit gullible when it comes to learning new things, though her high intelligence usually helps her to not fall for false information. Sienna also has an innate curiosity towards anything magical, she'll study and try to learn all she can about any magic she's unfamiliar with, including tomes, curses, and seals.

Despite her loyalty and willingness to help her companions, Sienna is not one for doing physical labor, of course this doesn't include fighting, but she would rather be reading and/or studying than doing anything related to physical labor. Sienna also hates it when her studies are interrupted, and she will let everyone know that she doesn't want to be disturbed. She also may have an attraction towards other females, this is hinted at as she may try to make herself seem impressive around girls, funnily enough she also has a bit of a hard time talking to other girls as she looks slightly nervous when she does. Despite all her shortcomings, Sienna is still a very loyal and helpful ally to the end, and is more than happy to share her knowledge with others.

[spoiler=Biography]Sienna was born the daughter of her tribe's chief, on the edge of the Pelinna Forest. Sienna was always an unusual child, as she was born with more of an aptitude towards magic than other Kitsune. This became apparent when Sienna started taking an interest to studying magical tomes and items. When Sienna turned 16, she was given her very own beaststone, but much to everyone's surprise, she couldn't effectively use it.

A few years later, Sienna's father gifted her a special beaststone, one that Sienna could use effectively without any problems. This beaststone was an item that Sienna's village received when they were visited by a mysterious merchant who was looking for a place to rest. The merchant gave the beaststone as a thank you gift, saying that it was a one of a kind treasure.

Years later, Sienna grew a distinct curiosity to the world outside her village and decided to venture out. Sienna's village was sad to see her go, but they wished her luck on her travels. Sienna said farewell to the village that raised her and promised that she would returned one day and share all that she had learned and experienced with her village. And so Sienna set out on her travels, unaware that her travels would lead her on an adventure to stop an evil goddess.

I wanted to clarify something. Stones allow one to transform and you do damage in that form. For instance, attacking with teeth or claws. You can't use them to cast magic, though yes, I know kitsune are generally regarded as magical creatures, but we do have kitsune in the games and they don't attack with magic so I'm going off of that.

Though if you do want a magic-user, feel free to make a mage or shaman instead.

Ahhhh... can I still keep her as a Kitsune?

Yeah you can keep her as a kitsune just remember the stone is used for the transformation process only. Attacking is done with their body. I guess in that way I'm going more off of Path of Radiance/Radiant Dawn.

I'm not arguing with your logic, I understand how beaststones work and everything. The way I put it, is that the beaststone Sienna uses is infused with fire making it a magic weapon rather than a physical weapon, like a Levin Sword. I understand that you want me to change my app, I just wanted to tell you what I was trying to do.

Well, thinking about it some more.

We could have it that all her attacks are magical regardless of how they're carried out. Or that she can't attack with her teeth and claws, and just her kitsune-bi (fire) if you really want to go with a magical kitsune idea. Also she'd only be able to attack in her beast form.

  • 3 weeks later...

So I don't remember what I had before, but regardless.

From now on, you must post within a week of the host post if you want to make it in time before the next host post. I know I'm bad about waiting till forever on people and my own schedule makes it hard for me to always post on time myself but I want this RP to move along at a decent pace. So if you don't post within a week, do not be surprised if I make a host post anyway moving the RP along.

[spoiler=LORE: History of Histian Military]

2r606qr.jpg

"It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience."

img_mouseover3.jpg

Histia has historically always maintained a small military in comparison to the other nations, known mainly for their use of the famed Pegasus Knights, but—as many have learned firsthand—it would be a gross mistake to dismiss the military might of this republic. History reflects this as a fact, as though many wars have ravaged the land of Mysia in the years since the founding of Histia, not a single enemy has ever managed to successfully siege any of three parts of their capital city, Ithome. Another example of this is that, though many forget, the end of the Galtean-Pontic war was set in motion when Histia allied itself with Galtea.

There’s a multitude of reasons for this, beginning with the founder and very first King of Histia, a man renowned for for his brilliance as a tactician (1*). When he first arrived in what would become Histia, a place where all before him had seen only uninhabitable mountains fraught with peril, he looked to the skies and saw potential in the pegasi, native to the area. Through many years of hard work, he and his followers tamed the majestic beasts, beginning what is known today as the Pegasus Knights. With their help, they soared above the dangers like he had seen the pegasi do all those years ago, and let the mountains deal with any enemies that came for them. Yes, they were safe and knew the ways to survive, but that alone was not enough for the founder-King. Not all enemies would be dealt with by an avalanche or a wild animal, and his valiant Pegasus Knights plunged to their death in the face of arrows, and so with his mind made up he executed two decisions that forever shaped Histia.

The first was the establishment of a small but elite force of spearmen. Outnumbered by many militaries of the time twice over, they did very little to bolster their numbers; they easy made-up for in skill what they lacked in numbers. They used only two weapons, being a shorter than average spear (roughly the height of the wielder) and a tall, very sturdy shield that strayed from the standard kite/buckler/heater design used by knights in favor of a rectangular, semi-cylindrical design (2*). Its purpose was twofold, because it was lightweight but covered all of the midriff well, and allowed for an advanced form of the common shield wall known as the “tetsudo formation”, where the shields did not overlap and provided protection from above, the front, and the side. It was effective due to the large amount of missile weapons brought in war against them because of their use of Pegasus Knights, which allowed these elite soldiers to make quick work of the threat to their airborne companions before they were picked off.

The second decision, and arguably even more impactful, was one the king would never live to see completed, being the construction of a three-segment capital. Each segment was to be erected on its own individual peak, with large, stone walls built around them to protect from intruders. The genius of this was deceptively simple. Even if intruders had the numbers to overwhelm them, the mountain passes would obstruct them, and they would have to divide into thirds to attempt to hold the entire city. Meanwhile, while the journey between the areas could take days when on foot, a Pegasus Knight could make the journey there and back in a day at most, making cutting off communications veritably impossible. And, after all of that, if they still could not defeat them, they could weather the storm while they sent messengers to the rest of Histia—and their allies, if possible—asking for aid. Once their reinforcements made it to Ithome, the enemy would be caught between a rock and a hard place, and still—thanks to their Pegasus Knights, they wouldn’t have trouble communicating with their allies outside the city.

Aside from the Pegasus Knights, the elite spearmen, and the un-siegable capital city of Ithome, Histia uses simple volunteer militia to patrol borders and watch for conflict. Most settlements have a local Pegasus Knight around to report to the capital, if any problems should arise, so backup can be sent if necessary. It is a rather effective method, and it minimizes the need for active military, which has always been a priority for them.

Some problems have come to head as of late, largely because of the last King’s decision to place three councilmen in place of the monarchy. Histia was akin to a machine, with the King being the brain, and it was designed for someone having the power to make decisions immediately. With the bickering of the council members, communications have come to be much slower, which could be potentially fatal in a war. Ithome’s walls have fallen into disrepair as well, due to a long legacy of King’s who neglected them in times of peace, though no one seems to take much notice.

“Appear weak when you are strong, and strong when you are weak.”

Footnotes

1) Ironically, outside of his many accomplishments (philosopher, tactician, king), little is known about the founder of Histia.

2) This style of shield is still used by Histian spearmen today, with some modernization. It is called a scutum.
