Something worse existing means NOTHING Six Sam's have proven that 2 gateway can't even beat the tier 2 decks, that's why it should be unbanned. Gateway of the Six Samurai is one of them. Six Samurai opening Gateway and any other reasonable things alongside it can create enough power to threaten lethal immediately with Shi-En stopping your opponent from stopping you. This creates an incredibly unfun and boring game state should this happen to you. These kind of gamestates are not healthy at all as it is the kind of thing that makes people hate playing the game, since passing from turn to turn between players is kind of the point of a game like this. This is also the reason why banning the Djinn was the best thing to do, so it's pretty comparable except the Djinn has more answers theoretically. There is no "right" answer here. OCG pretty much proved that hitting cycle to 1 was an equivalent hit to banning Djinn. Which one is "better" is but a matter of opinion and preference Gateway can go to 2 due to Shi-en Beast set 3 not being as as good as it once was. Gateway has no potential anymore. Just like beastiari no longer has any potential. At this point it's a matter of TCG disliking Gateway as a card for rewarding you for "just playing" I have no idea why this is still banned when we have things like Pepes running around which searches better monsters and counter traps while doing it more consistently than this ever did. As soon as TEW says "oh yeah it's at 2 in OCG it should come back" you immediately jump on his thought and suddenly you're this massive proprietor of this "original idea" of Gateway to 2 to the point where you're saying established players like mido are making arguments "worse than arguing for terrorism" and basically insulting the intelligence of everyone who disagrees rather than responding to their actual points (some of which, I admit, are not the strongest). You literally took 1 post from Winter to turn from unsure to a cocky dude who thinks he knows something because of something one guy said, you're just making an ass of yourself here. Regarding Gateway, it could come back and it probably wouldn't have much of an effect, but that doesn't mean I want it back. Opening 2 Gateway is as much of an autowin as it's always been and it basically creates a deck which is dog sheet except for the couple of instances where it opens Gateway and then probably wins if it's going first. I don't like Samurai as a deck, I don't want them back regardless of the extra addition of rogue diversity and I have no problem leaving this banned and Samurai as a 100% irrelevant deck. This just makes for a more viberent tier 2 in TCG too and will appeal to semi-casuals while not hurting competitive players There's something really fun from having everything from Tele-DAD to WU to Nekroz to Sam's to Rabbit on fairly equal footing dining it out haha Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I saw a Sam player get Kizan going and use Lavaval to Mill Shogun and then summon it off the 6 effect. The Shogun -Shien pseudo lock is suprisingly deadly against Pepe IMO Never seen the 6 effect be used before was all. Thoughts on that? I beleive you can't even notice the Shien since that would be activating 2 s/t correct me if I'm wrong there Cripple->Geezer gate at 4 search out Kizan. Shi-En. Summon Kizan.
